Edit: Failed to mention that all of the actual, hard work, of the Voyager Cross Section was done by Suricata. I just did the easy bits around the edges. We would not have a proper MSD without Suricata's hard work. So major props go to him. Thanks a ton Tim!

That's quite the paradox, how could you nerf nerf when the nerf is nerfed. But how would the nerf be nerfed when the nerf is nerfed? This allows the nerf not to be nerfed since the nerf is nerfed? But if the nerf isn't nerfed, it could still nerf nerfs. But as soon as the nerf is nerfed, the nerf power is lost. So paradoxally it the nerf nerf lost its nerf, while it's still nerfed, which cannot be because the nerf was unable to nerf.
I swear, TacoFangs... I long for the day that you and the art team get your hands on the DS9 map... maybe even a little touch-up on the Defiant "Belfast" look. Well done!

Thank you to everybody involved. This is a really nice touch. Much appreciated!
Why are the buttons so big on the left panel? J/k.
There are however two minor points I would like to share, so Taco; please don't bite me!
Those small panels (inbetween the big ones) were generally used for yellow/red/gray/blay/whatever alert. To my knowledge they used to beempty.
At the MSD, there seems to be too much space between the vessel and it's warp nacelle picture. See this and this.
These are only my observations, do whatever you want with them .
1) Fair point.
2) A) those are fan recreations, and every one of them is off in one way or another (though that was the most accurate one I could find) and We are not trying to 100% reproduce the canon MSD. LCARS has been upgraded since then, and things needed to move around a little to fit labels and lines in (Remember, I'm restricted in texture size, the actual lines on the actual MSD are something like 1/4 of a pixel thick. I can't represent that here.)

FYI, those "small panels" to the left and right of the MSD, as well as the two outer "small panels" on the back wall, are all "light panels", which change colors depending on Alert Status.

Thanks for your feedback, and the reason you've given is totally legit. Used to fiddle around with Cinema4D myself and know about the limitations and problems with 3d modeling... Fun stuff though. Made some cool stuff.
2) A) For you mentioning it to be fan made stuff, I've found this pic, specially for you :P.
EDIT: It has to be said, Taco. Top notch job about the bridge though.

Looks great. Nothing better than a big MSD on the bridge to make players really immersed and feel like they're in command of an Intrepid Class starship.
Nitpicking is a time-honored tradition of science fiction. Asking your readers not to worry about the "little things" is like asking a dog not to sniff at people's crotches. If there's something that appears to violate natural laws, then you can expect someone's going to point it out. That's just the way things are.

I have been out of the loop for a while, what is happening with this ship? Other than a beautiful interior (thank you!) what other enhancements are being made to the intrepid class? I would fly one if they made it on par with even the fleet excelsior in terms of stats, tac consoles and weapon slots. (wishful thinking I know but still...) great ship, tough as nails. Hope it gets some love to reflect that.

As much as I hate to keep harping on this...

There's a nice recent one, specifically about the Intrepid, though at this time it's a bit lacking in exact game-play details.

The side view was constructed using the CGI model for the initial shape since the original MSD didn't quite fit the hull outlines of the ship. There have been several changes made to this MSD to reflect alterations carried out to the ship during its time in the Delta quadrant, as well as subsequent refits once she returned home, thus the placement of many elements may be somewhat different than when the ship was initially launched. :-)
I'm actually curious what changes people can notice on the MSD ;-)

Not necessarily strictly Voyager but, MSD = Multi Systems Display.

Yup, this'll be a while... :P
six of one, half dozen of the other. I've seen it used both how it's show in the pic and for different things. That suggests multi to me, not master.
Either way, same thing as far as I am concerned, unless you're one of those Treknobabble TRIBBLE's...
