...by buying the two new ships that we are getting for sure.
I would buy the big package, as that would be nice, but I just can't afford that 125 price tag. But I will at least buy the two ships the KDF are getting, and maybe some fleet ships that we might hopefully get as well in the next expansion.

im not sure if i will buy the two ships separately. i am torn on this. on one hand id like to show that kdf do indeed buy ships. on the other, i dont want to reward them for once again giving feds things they dont deserve (cloak) while releasing the ship i dont want (where is my t6 BoP ffs). i did that in the past with the 3pack bort and the mogh... but i dont know if i have the will to do it again.

Personally I don't like the idea of supporting some people that like to mock and laugh on the behalf of kdf faction.
I will buy the kdf ships only if stats are good and if they are not probably I will restrict myself to one ship because I am forced to use a T6 level ship to obtain the last level of mastery so I don't see another way out.
In this moment the kdf T6 raptor looks like a reskined Kumari+cloak and without T6 boff ability so actually it looks like a T5FU.I would like to ask why it doesn't have a battlecloak if it lacks the T6 boff ability ?
Anyway I am waiting for ship data to compare fed T6 escort versus kdf T6 raptor.
PS: I won't ever buy the full package because it is Federation biased as usual and since almost all fed ships got cloak I think it is time to Federation players to show their support and buy it and of course start whining for batlecloak:D

Reads more like the the non-Intel ships at launch will still have the hybrid seats, but they will not have Commander Intelligence Stations...

Yes you are right so T6 raptor probably will have T6 bof ability but no Intel Boff seating compared to fed T6 escort so it is a standard T6 while 3 fed ships are T6E (E=Enhanced )
Anyway there is room for more data because as it is now the new Fed escort will get the equivalent of a free Phaser Elachi DBB so only that single ability make the ship worth its price.

Good news in that this nose cannon can be buffed by the Elachi and Undine rep sets, I can also see this setting up nicely as an immobiliser in a vape.
Anyway, both T6 Klingon ships are buyers for me. That will set up my Eng and Tac alts nicely, just hope we don't have to wait too long for a BoP or sci ship.
Also - anyone else notice the fact that Intel Boffs have new space traits? Here's hoping that this is finally parity between Romulans and other races...
I can live with out a Commander Intel Officer, I can love the look of the thing, but seriously still no Battle Cloak the new Romulan ship looks like it can totally replace the T'Varo it even has Enhanced Battle Cloak.
You'd think with the fact they are giving 3 Fed ships a built in cloak that all KDF T6 would have Battle Cloak.
I'd buy a KDF Pack, I might be conviced to buy the Romulan pack (LOR Romulan Starter Pack was a Bargin) but Buying a Fed Centric Pack... ugh.
And the final 2 ships better be KDF and Romulan. Infact I'd say the next KDF ship is a EBC BoP.

With recent developments this is now my only home in the game (except for my 1 Romulan char). This is only place I feel Star Trek. I'm not sure wheather I'll delete all my Fed chars or just leave them wither. Probably will start switching them to KDF eventually so the slots don't go to waste. Can't play that faction anymore at all, doesn't even remotely resemble Star Trek any more.
About our 2 ships...yeah. To be honest, I'd probably get those even without the added motivation of supporting this faction I love and enjoy. I'll be glad to do it nevertheless.
Finally a new Raptor? That's a chance I don't want to miss, I looks aggresive and very Klingon. I kinda' hoped that big tube looking thing would be a huge cannon - and it is! Sooo loving that element.
But what suprised me in a very very positive way is that new Qib Battlecruiser. Anyone that knows me around here knows I'm a cruiser/battlecruiser fanatic and I didn't expect a battlecruiser at the start of 'Delta Rising'. My main flies battlecruisers, a Fleet Mogh currently and I thought to switch him to the Raptor. However, this is new development of events. The Qib seems inspired from old-school designs and has the TOS grey hull, which I really like.
And damn son, a T6 battlecruiser with a battlecloak?! :cool: Yeah, I just became that much more evul.
So yeah, these 2 I will buy. I'd never buy the entire pack even if my life depended on it.
Bying items for a faction I will no longer play and supporting the lore and aesthetics butchery they're doing to the blue side of the game would be stupid in my eyes.
It feels as if this game was - and I don't believe it's an understatement - build solely with the Federation in mind... *3* intelligence ships... All with cloak. The KDF doesn't even have a cloak on their most advanced raptor(we all know how raptors had it bad but Odo damn!).
Why do they even bother making content for KDF anymore when their hearts are obviously not even in it...

Don't forget that the new T6 battlecruiser is equiped with battlecloak, which is also awesome.
It does my heart very, very good to see a tried and true warrior never balking from the last faction with even a trace of true TNG Trek feel! The Romulans might have had it - even under D'tan's direction if it were not for Tovan.
Logically this grim, grim news should have turned me off of the KDF largely but all it's doing is solidifying my stubbornness to refuse actively playing as a Blue.
Now more than ever we need Klingons. We need people to show Fedyptic that developing ships for the KDF is quite profitable!

Nah, like I said in another thread...they will instead just start demanding for battle cloaks at that point.
True, their whining is without a point anymore. They do it out of habbit, like they're genetically programmed to do it. I agree with mimey2, they'll refocus the complaints on battlecloak, when they get that on EBC, when they get that on raiders, when they get that on warbirds.....assuming STO can survive that much whineage.
Like I said in another thread - Cryptic can give them the world and they'll still whine for Mars.
When the time comes I will look and see if any of the Fed, KDF, Romulan ships offer enough improvements over the free T5 ships for me to justify spending Zen on. I passed on all current C-Store ships because I felt the overall improvements did not justify the $25 / 2,500 Zen asking price.
Thus far, I have dumped money / Zen on Doff slots...
Yeah you could hand them gold pressed latinum and they would complain about its weight. I don't see the big deal about cloak, most of the time you cant use it in PvE as dialogue decloaks you almost without fail and BC is only really useful on ships that can manoeuvre not the garbage scows that Starfleet fields.
On a side note I don't know if i like the new Borg content included in the expansion. It looks to me as if they're setting it up to launch a Borg faction down the road and I don't know if I can continue playing with playable space zombies running around. Are the Dev's all under the age puberty or is it a bunch of nerdy godmode players requesting a borg faction?
Actually they already started whining for a Phase Cloak that makes them immune to everything all the time.
And for the Gal X, Avenger and Defiant to have built in Cloaks
And for those Cloaks to be Battle Cloaks
T7 could just be 1 ship for everybody (With a Faction appropriate design) with Fully Universal BOFFs, 7 Consoles in each slot, Another 7 Consoles for Universal Consoles, Enhanced Battle Cloak, And configurable into a Sci ship, Cruiser, Battle Cruiser or Escort and they'd still complain it's underpowered compared to the Klingons in the same ship and demand their version and only their version be Buffed.
The Federation players have earned a Reputation as Spoiled Brats in this game, no other game has seen a single side so empowered, so pandered too and still want more.
From what I understand the Decloaking thing won't be such an issue in the newer content as rather than shoe horning in KDF they are designing everything Multi Faction and are now expecting everybody to cloak.
While a BOFF sneezing Decloaks you most of the time there are new missions where you can have a Conversation with Cloak up.

Yep its pretty disgusting how the Feds get pandered to. I really hate that all the unique faction specific content is getting shared across the board. Each faction should have its own specific content that lends a different style of play to make them diverse. If they keep going Cryptic is going to have to rename this game to Star Glob Online to better describe it.
At least the Feds aren't as annoying as they used to be. I can remember them visiting the KDF forums (Wearing the Cryptic brown on their noses proudly) to tell us how we had no business asking for content and should know our place as the loser faction.
I'm not sure why Cryptic created the self-fullfilling prophesy. They sure throw out a lot of lame excuses as to why. I just hope it isn't a passive aggressive response to all the flak Cryptic got back in the day from all the failed promises. I'd like to hope it isn't that but people disappoint me all the time.

Y'know...as a side note real fast. I bet GPL in real life WOULD actually be really heavy. I mean gold, while soft, is still a very heavy metal in the end, so I'm shocked that anybody would want to haul around all that weight. I think a scene in DS9 actually showed Quark tugging around his entire life's savings and having a heck of a time with it.

I don't believe Magnumstar was making any remarks about Lifers. I think he more meant that he didn't like the idea of a pure Borg faction because of people who would want to fly Cubes and the like.
