If you scroll down this link to the part with the KDF ships are listed you'll see that it gives the battle-cruiser a battle-cloak, but not the raptor. What's the point of buying the raptor at that point? It better have more firepower than any other ship in-game. :P

Also, about the name:

Really Cryptic? You couldn't think of a better name? :(

Actually Cryptic, you know what? This is an official request to not change the name. It's perfect! Every time I kill an enemy player, I'll type MaaaHaaa into the chat! It'll be glorious!!! :D

Actually I see their logic here. All the Intel ships get a stealthiness upgrade from the usual. Fed Intel goes from zero to standard cloak, KDF Intel goes standard to battle cloak, Rom Intel goes battle to enhanced battle. MaHa, like the Guardian or Aelahl, is only a standard-style ship, and so no bonus.

Well then, they better not be lying when they say "unparalleled forward firepower". I want 5/2 or 6/1! I want to be doing this:

Agreed. You think the raptor rather than the BC would get the Battle Cloak instead of the other way round.

The Raptor needs a battle cloak.

Well, the Raptor doesn't appear to be of the 'Intel' line; but even without battlecloak, the description certainly gave me an 'oh baby!' moment. I get the impression it's more of a T6 Kumari(with cloak) for KDF and less of a counterpart to the Intel Attack ships the other factions are getting. Perhaps that means we'll get an Intel battlecloaking attack ship later down the road with a Disruptor Lance like the other two.

    About name: I googled and : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maha
So it would translate as "Great"

About the battlecloak:I can't understand the lack of it because in PVP that make a big difference.
In PVE it doesn't matter if the ship has cloak or no so for somebody who doesnt PVP Maha could be be a good ship if it has real firepower.
We don't know everything about the Intel boff so maybe even so it won't compensate in PVP.(Maha don't get such a thing it seems).

After full specifications for the ships will be published we shall see how "Great" is the Maha.
(Fed escort beside Intel seating will get a kind of phaser Elachi DBB so that ship will be a beast in PVP so lets see what has Maha to compensate .)

@szerontzur: yes you are right about fed escort and kdf raptor being different types of ship but
after the specifications it will be easy to see which of these two will be better for PVP.

It's not an Indian ship. ;)
I'm not sure what maHa means, if it is tlhIngan Hol or just made up.

Well, perhaps they'll develop more kdf/rom ships down the road?

Maybe these were just the ones they could push out in time?

Of course, feds get the big chunk of chocolate cake with the silver platter and gold-encrusted spoons...

But maybe our bronze platter and rusty spoons with a small slice of Little Debbie's is just a taste of what's to come?

As much as I wish I was wrong about this... I have to agree 100%, don't hold your breath.

Cryptic's track record of reluctantly giving us a ship or two that are usually inferior or at best are a rubber stamp of what they made for the FEDs, and typically look nothing like any Klingon engineer would ever design to boot is very consistent. This leads to low sales numbers which starts another long wait before they make another half-hearted attempt to placate us all the while grumbling that we don't make them any money. Gee wonder why. ;)

In theory there would be a Intel Raptor, a Normal Battle Crusier, and both a Intel and regular T6 BOP coming right? I'd love to see an Intel Carrier as an Evoloution of the Vo'Quv.

And yes that means I think the Feds will be getting a T6 Escort and Sci ship without cloak.

Romulans will probably get T6 Escort style Warbird, an Intel Cruiser Warbird and both a Intel and Regular Sci Warbird.

At least logically that's what the first wave of T6 ships are. One of each Basic type, One of each Intel type and then fill in the Niche types.
I was once DKnight1000, apparently I had taken my own name so now I'm DKnight0001.
If I ask you a question it is not an insult but a genuine attempt to understand why.
When I insult you I won't be discreet about it, I will be precise and to the point stupid.

Your optimism has no place on these forums! None! Why would the devs take the opportunity of a whole new tier of ships to balance out the end game ship offerings!?! What you speak is madness, MADNESS I say!!!

Anyway since yesterday some info was revealed about new OP Intel boff's in forums by players who have access to Tribble.

Maha doesnt have acces to Intel bofff and that I think it is an argument to change maha cloak into a battlecloak
because even with battlecloak it will be easy target to new Intel doffs powers.

Reread the blog post, the Maha does get access to a intelligence boff station, its commander intelligence officer station that is excluse to intel ships. So the Maha might only have access to a ltt.com Intel Boff stat for example.

If your Maha Intel officer picks Intel Team that is almost a battle cloak, minus ambush bonus.

    Edit : Ok I found it :
"Captains will gain access to eight (8) brand new, Tier 6 starships complete with Intelligence Bridge Officer stations, spread across our three factions.
The newest class of ship in this pack, the Intelligence ships, will feature stations for our new intelligence officers, offer a new type of gameplay, and comprise five of the eight included ships.
Romulan and Klingon Captains will each have access to one faction-specific Intelligence ship, and Federation Captains will have access to three faction-specific Intelligence ships. These are the only ships that will grant access to a Commander-level Intelligence Bridge Officer station, giving captains the flexibility to truly leverage the power of the Intelligence officer class.
In addition to their intelligence themed consoles and intelligence Bridge Officers, these ships can launch drones that scan enemy ships for weaknesses and then give captains access to a suite of powers designed to exploit those weaknesses.
The sheer versatility that intelligence ships offer captains of any faction will make them a valuable ally and a dangerous foe to anyone you encounter in the Delta Quadrant.
The remaining three ships are themed around Voyager’s journey through the Delta Quadrant, and are split equally among the three factions.
On their mission back to the Alpha Quadrant, Captain Janeway and crew encountered numerous threats and discovered new technological advances.
All of that information was combined, evaluated, and utilized to create Alpha Quadrant ships custom built for incursions throughout the Delta Quadrant.
These ships will also feature Intelligence Bridge Officer stations, unique, Delta Quadrant themed consoles, and a brand new Tier 6 ship material that will definitely make your new ships stand out."

So it will have some kind of Intelligence bof seating but it doesn't says what type of it

To be fair after the initial package their will then be an never ending stream of Fed ships with perhaps a Multi-Faction 9 Pack like the Sci-Destroyers. We're going to make do with out handful of ships while Feds will get every conceivable combination in between.

I'm saying we might get 6 or 7 ships total, while the feds will get something like 30 ships total and the Romulans will get another 6 or 7 like us.

You want to sell T6 ships to the Klingons that's actually easy we're starving for quality ships, we want a new Raptor, a new Cruiser, a new BoP. Selling a ship to the Feds is harder, they need something new and what they perceive as powerful to get them out of their old Hero ships from the show. Hey how about we build in the Cloak they always wanted that should open some wallets.
