Fluidic trades standard-AP's CrtD bonus for the knockback effect. Standard will do more damage IF you have the CrtH rate to take advantage, but is pretty lackluster if your CrtH is low. Also finding standard-AP with desirable mods is pretty much impossible and you're mostly limited to Fleet, so Fluidic also opens up options for you.
Is there a big difference beteween fluidic antiproton vs antiproton?
Yes the Fluidic Beam Array will push back the target also the 100% Shield cutter.. I have one but it's okay. I go back to the standard anti-proton omi-directional beam 360 arc and dual beam AP 45 arc. I see some have 3 dual beams and one torpedo. That's a lot of beams to feed energy too. Can't go wrong with the standard AP. If want to try the Fluidic AP give it shot. BIO- Phasers don't seem to have the same ripper into the shields. Takes longer to do than a standard AP Beam.
for cannons fluidic are horrible garbage . the knock back is the last thing you want with cannons.
I have to agree with you with the Fluidic Cannons I am not impress with them. Unless they're not working effectively as they're suppose too. Really hard to tell. Dual Heavy Cannons they shoot all over the place even with ACCx2 or higher. I also have the 180 arc single Fluidic Cannon that does try to be a good hitter. I again I don't use them.. Right now.
Dont use fluidic on an escort... If on a cruiser with beams it doesnt matter much. On escorts it tends to push the target away from the ideal distance of 6KM. The Voth AP are on the whole better than the fluidic ones IMO

I thought the Fluidic was missing the extra crit over normal AP.
