    Must be something they must compensate for right? I mean after all, if some south-african can blame his contrys bad infrastructure on cryptic and demand compensation (and fail btw), something like a earthquake IN the US must be something we can be compensated for.

    Same here. Did cryptic try to post some earth shattering news or something..
    This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

    I don't know if there's any connection, but the PSN servers were down earlier too (alledged DDOS(?) attack). Might be connected?

    still getting disconnected after 'cryptic launcher autoupdate' fails to connect.
    i am trying to connect from australia, if that makes any difference.

    got nothing from the autoupdate patch server, checked it a few times. all attempts, no connection. uk here.

    this is the error message i get today.
    cra...erhh cryptic why today, why at a sunday?
    and why during the ce event? why? why? why?

    Edit: I'm still connected to the game, but my best friend can't login to the game.
    I can switch my alts, but i think if i logout of my account, i can't login back to the game.

    Man that must be a bad quake. I hope everyone's okay. I'd rather lose a game server vs a human life.

    Just had a several minute wait for a dynamic patch while trying to reach my Ship's Bridge. Seems like congestion to the Patch Server is a running theme here...

    The game first hung when I tried zoning in the system space for a mission, the server wasn't responding — it went up to almost 300 seconds when I decided that it wouldn't respond at all, so I ended the task through the Task Manager.

    After a while, I managed to get back in the game, zoned in system space, did the space battle. When I was about to beam down to planet... Stuck again in the loading screen, same thing, server not responding. I waited 250 seconds and did Ctrl+Alt+Del to end the task...

    Longest mission ever? ;-)

    the Earthquake epicenter was a 6.0 near San francisco. about 50 miles away from where I live.

    I didnt even notice till i read about it. It was about 2 hours ago.

    and as of this posting, Im able to connect.

    The game's servers are in a farm in Boston.

    I'm in NYC and I just got in fine.
    Everywhere I look, people are screaming about how bad Cryptic is.
    What's my position?
    That people should know what they're screaming about!

    Steam user East Coast. Cannot connect.

    I managed to get my Launcher (No ARC) to open, but will not connect to the servers to Patch (Everything is updated, but it still connects to verify you are up to date). East Coast USA 11:18AM EST

    http://www.shacknews.com/article/85951/blizzard-playstation-network-and-more-under-wide-ddos-attacka group known as lizard squad are doing DDoS attacks on various mmos this last week...they had blizzard and PSN down a few hours this morning... danged script kiddies..this might be why

    I got in eventually.

    In the UK using Steam, managed to log-in and it seems to be working fine now.

    Currently trying to log in, with difficulties. I had to try several time to have the launcher pop up, and it's now stuck on "connecting".

    *edit* after several tries, I was able to log in. It worked better directly starting the launcher, until it worked.

    Connecting from France anyway, if that matter. I don't think my servers are in the US.


    Best wishes for the people affected by the quake anyway.

    Steam, arc, and "old" launcher all suffer the same issue. Which is quite logical, since they all start the "old" launcher in the end, and this is where it fails.
