Aside from a handful of screenshots in both installs (nothing more than 20 MB worth per install) both are clean
lol same here... I'm a big Screenshot taker, or rather like to take screenshots, and most of them, if not all of them are 20+Mb and my screenshot folder is big... (about 2GB~nearing) so that is probably why my "live" folder is about 12GB

What do you mean by "adding to it or overwriting"?
Edit: I see what you mean now, Updates on Tribble are always "Added unto the current build"
once it goes like to Holo it is overwritten, and space wont have to be a problem, although there will be some few MB even GB of difference... no biggy tho... At least for me since I have a 1TB HDD
Yeah, that has really saved me download time when patching big updates, just copying it over from tribble instead of downloading it whole cloth, all the better if it doesn't take a lot of space.
I have a terabyte too, but I like to keep track of these things, and not everyone is so fortunate.
I am 26% and I've recieved 300mb.
The patch is around 1.2GB. There are a lot of changes. Half of the patch is new stuff.
I'll compare Holodeck and Tribble install sizes after I'm done patching.
Thanks in advance.
So if these patches are just framework then they must really be getting into the nuts and bolts then.

Not necessarily. All major updates are around 3-6 gigs in their final download state. Legacy was about a 10 gig download (Mostly due to all the new missions and such that were added) so it's not going to be deep down.
The bulk of this download was map and art assets across the game (watched the files as they downloaded)
It was fine last time they did it. It's probably to keep their bandwidth under control for the early part of the beta, and make a few bucks on subscriptions to keep the lookieloos out. You have to really want to test to pay $15 to do it.

Yeah that is a good point, but I was just referring to saving time on patching when you're up to date on tribble, I wasn't really clear though.
But I've got the space for that so no worries.
I was thinking that since these builds are so integrated they do have to move things around even if they're adding things on, so it all fits and works together.

Patching at the time of posting this. To answer your question: Lifetime subscribers are considered gold members since they get all of the perks that gold members get along with all veteran rewards that gold members can earn.
This thread title is "TRIBBLE IS TEMPORARILY DOWN" and some people don't understand that it isn't available yet. Sheesh.
As far as only gold/lifetime members getting into closed beta: they did that with the LoR expansion but they also picked free players to join in on the closed beta before opening up testing to all accounts. I was a free player back then and got lucky to be picked for closed beta. But at this time they haven't said yet if testing will be limited to certain types of accounts at first.
Be patient. I understand ya'all want to test the new stuff. I'm excited and struggling myself not to go crazy.

You must have some bloat in your install folders

That's weird, your install folders are ~300 and ~100 MB bigger than mine, and I am fully patched with on-demand off.

relaunched my launcher with a silver account, and lo and behold, tribble isn't in the list. It looks like it has gone gold only for the time being
I am silver and I'm patching.
So I will see if this persists after I finish patching (92% I am a slowpoke)

It's sad because I participated in the LoR "Closed Beta" which is what I guess you could have called it.
 it's a 7GB update lets see how long it takes me to patch 7GB
Start time: 6:00pm (PT) (August 19th, 2014)

Working fine here
I'm getting the same message.
I'm a Lifetime member but idk if Lifetime members can log in like gold members can.
yes, we are getting that because the server is still offline
also, side note. As a lifetime member, you ARE a gold player
