dilithium earning circuit?

lyran2lyran2 Member Posts: 0 Arc User
Hey guys,

I'm looking for a few pointers with regards to earning dilithium quickly.

Lately in joining a fleet, it seems that every starbase project is fueled by large quatities of the pink stuff. I'm trying to figure out the best way to earn as much as possible in the shortest amount of time.

As a f2p player I know that there is a daily refinment limit of 8,000 dil. With my fed tactical character already at lvl 50, here's what I'm running so far:

The daily mining event, the 3 Deferi dailies, one foundary spotlight mission (I believe there is a daily dil bonus for this). In addition I'm running three 20h reputations (omega, romulan and dyson). Plus any DOFF missions that have a dil payout.

What would be some more suggestions? I'm trying to figure out a dil circuit (kind of like circuit training), work in one area and then move on to the next.

Thanks

Have you made sure to pick up the Officer Reports daily mission?

If not, then it Gives just under a thousand per foundry mission, Run that in addition to the spotlight if you want to maximise it

I can typically earn more than the daily refining limit just through a couple runs of the Voth groung battlezone.

Don't forget the Doff Contraband assignments, as 5 Contraband can be turned in every 4 hours per character for 2,000 Dilithium Ore...

STFs are also a good source for Dilithium. And some of them, (e.g. Starbase 24...) are a good source for Item Drops, that can be sold to a Vendor, or posted on the Exchange for EC income...

Get your kdf aligned toons up and running do contraband, prisoners, and colonist doff missions behind the scenes while you grind with your fed.

Indeed, if you can find Foundry missions that it works with. And not all Featured Events work with the Officer Reports.

    Fastest way to dilthium cap:

    1. Join PublicEliteSTF channel to get good team fast.

    2. Run Infected Space, Cure Space and Khitomer Space Elite STFs.

    You will end up with:

    3 Processors
    280 Omega Marks
    3 x 960 Dilithium Ore

The three processors net 1000 Ore, the marks will get another 2500.

That is 6380 Ore in about 20-40 minutes.

    3. Run Crystaline Catastophe Elite

960 Ore and 115 Marks for another 1000

Five to fifteen minutes for that.

Total in less than an hour: 8340 and a few marks left over to start daily rep XP projects.

I've recently started loggin in to the PVE queues to the various missions available. However, I don't believe that my skill level is good enough for running anything at Elite, yet. Still great suggestion and one I'll look into when I feel I'm good enough for Elite STFs. Thanks.

The Dyson ground battlezone also rewards a LOT of dil, marks and implants you can convert as well. This is easier to pull of in a team, but can be done alone. Especially profitable during mark and dilithium weekends.

Just make sure you are getting all the tasks from Commander Arnold and turn them in.

Voth ground bz. Pick up all four missions and in a half an hour you get a boatload of dil. You can run this solo if that is your thing. If you team up and play smart you can rack in a ton of dil.

The big upside to the Voth BZ is that it is, IMHO, fun and can be done with less than the best gear. Stuff like MK XI greens, which are cheap, is fine to begin with.

Here's a couple of more ways to earn some dilithium. You can mix and match with what others have suggested so that you do not do the same thing day after day while trying to scrounge up dilithium.

Nimbus III - Three Daily Missions - Should take less than 15 minutes. I can typically do them all in under 10 minutes. Speak to Yamlon Nuk in the bar to get them.

#1 - On the Desert Front - Kill some gang members in the desert (1 of 4 random locations) = 480 Dilithium

#2 - Orion Contraband - Search for hidden contraband cache within Paradise settlement within a time limit. This is easy to fail at 1st, but once you figure out the random locations it's pretty simple. Probably took me about 4 tries before I was able to finish successfully for the 1st time. This mission can be restarted immediately if you fail. = 480 Dilithium

#3 - Creatures of the Desert = Random based on the # of creatures you kill in time limit. I can get 580 dilithium with my Tactical toon (30 - 39 kills), but with my Engineering toon I can get 680 dilithium (40+ kills).

That's 1,540 or 1,640 dilithium in under 10 minutes once you get into a good rhythm.

Spotlight Foundry Mission + Investigate Officer Report Mission.

Spotlight Foundry Missions gives you a daily reward based on the average amount of time it takes players to complete it and how long it takes you to complete it. Minimum reward is 1,440 dilithium, and maximum is 3,040 dilithium.

Investigate Officer Report Mission is a daily repeated mission (every 30 minutes) that rewards 960 dilithium every time you play a Foundry Missions (not just Spotlight missions). Press "L" and go to the "Available" tab, I forgot the NPC's name that offers the mission.

The shortest Spotlight mission that offers the most dilithium is "Purity #1 - Of Denial". However, to get the maximum reward of 3,040 dilithium must not be completed in under 25 minutes; otherwise you will get rewarded less. This plus the Investigate Officer Report mission will give you 4,000 dilithium in 25 minutes.

From experimentation completing "Purity #1 - Of Denial" in 15 minutes or less rewards only 1,440 dilithium, under 25 minutes rewards about 2,600 dilithium. On a speed run I can do the mission in 15 minutes. I "kill" 10 minutes by cleaning up stuff in my apartment.

Of all the Spotlight Foundry Missions I have played, probably the best one is "Another Man's Hell". I play it for the story; not for the dilithium. It takes about 45 minutes to complete and rewards about 2,600 dilithium.

    My personal routine;

Starbase Alert (Fed, Klingon depending on which character I'm playing)
CSE, KSE, ISE (960 Dil plus marks each)
CCE (960 Dil plus choice of marks)
Tau Dewa Patrol (Japori System, no Dil but 115 marks)

    Each 50, marks (non-fleet) is 500 Dil, 3 BNP's is another 1k.

So I score 3840 directly from the runs, minimum of 1500 from the borg marks, 1000 from the BNP's, 1000 from the rom marks, and 1000 from Nukara or other marks for CCE. That totals 7340. Throw in a mine run or two or a repeat of an ESTF or a foundry mission or two and you're easily over the 8k daily refine limit.

Some runs, like CCE and Tau Dewa award more than 100 marks, so over time you build up a surplus and every few runs, you refine an extra 500 or 1000,...

Plus you can vendor or replicator all the misc assorted gear you gather along the way for EC.

It's a little harder to reach max cap while you're trying to rep up or rep gear shopping as you need to save some of those marks for rep projects, but once you max rep and have all the rep gear you want, all those marks and extras, are easily and handily converted to Dil.

The easiest and fastest way is to max out a reputation, then put the extra rep points into ongoing efforts against "insert rep here"

You get 500 dilithium ore every 15 seconds - for 50 rep points, or your daily 8,000 (refinable) in just over 4 minutes.

So if you got extra points in any rep, maxed or not, convert them to ore quickly. You'll earn more points as you play. 800 points for every 8,000 ore.

Lol 20-40? ISE and CSE takes less than 10 and KASE isn't too bad even if it takes a bit longer.

If you're in SFA you can do the daily lore test. Farm contraband every day so you can turn it in for dil. Kicking off all the doff assignments also gives some dil and it's easy with the new doff picking logic. Borg RAs give dil and are quick. The Both battlezone also gives dil.

Dilithium rains in this game. If you have many toons, rotate them and farm as much as you can.

I'd estimate that over 90% of the people in ESTF do not have the required skill so don't worry about it.

Just run the ESTF, open chat for team speak and let the team know that you're a newbie.
Usually you will have 1-2 persons giving you pointers on what to do.

Best way to learn ESTF is by doing them and listening to advice.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

Only 1000? I can do a quick Borg Elite STF in under 20 minutes and between the intial payout plus the 100 marks can rack up 1960 Dil just like that.

If you're T5 Omega, doing STFs nets a nice sum of Dilithium.
