Wow, that was a bit of a shocker, just watching it on the BBC news. Initial reports is suicide by asphyxia.

    I know, just seen the news myself. Don't know what to say...

    Suffered off and on with Depression myself for years, it sucks.

    Such a shame for him to go out this way. :(

    He was one of the people considered for the part of Rassmussen from TNG Matter of Time until they got the other guy. RIP Mister Williams you did you great work.

    I am in utter shock. I grew up watching his stuff. I don't really react to star deaths however I find myself grieving for him.

    Whenever you see any documentaries or anything about celebrities with severe chronic depression problems, his name is always the first to come up. Probably where all his manic energy came from. Sucks when people hurt that much just from existing.

    My Dad came home and told me about this and I kept responding "No way!!!.... No way.... this has got to be a joke.... a tabloid trick I really hope this is a trick.... perhaps he faked his own death?" and other such hopeful "this is a false tragedy" hopes. Really sad to see him go he was a good actor and a comedian that surely entertained a lot of us.

    A great comedy actor who could do serious roles very well.

    Even though he did mostly comedy, his best movie had to one hour photo

      I remember reading that the character of Q was designed for him, but due to scheduling conflicts, they gave it to Mr. DeLancie. Robin Williams was a huge Star Trek fan and it's sad he never got to join the universe he liked. :(

      Damn this sucks. I usually don't really pay much attention or post about people dying but he was one of a kind and irreplaceable.
