So, as usual, after the patch, I am experiencing serious lagging issues together with disconnects, especially in the last days ... and I am not the only one ... and not just in my country.
Just to inform who takes care of the servers.
And plz don't bother me with pings, modem specifics and my phone company's network, since my company's network works very well and it's a known fact that other games don't lag that much.
And, by the way, I hate lags and disconnections.

Same here, super lag when I'm actually able to connect via ARC. Steam just refuses to connect entirely anymore . I've sent off a ticket for good measure.
As most of you already know we connect through a series of other servers to Cryptic's main server. I think there is a problem with one of those servers. Just ran a Tracert. Our connection bounces of 30 servers. The patch server has a 204 ms delay. Which is totally unacceptable for gaming

Lag mark XII and frequent disconnects for me and several of my fleet mates as of now.
By the way, the power creep haters will be glad to know that, thanks to this lag, we have played a CSE as hard as in the good ol'days, if you know what I mean ...
For the crashes, are you getting the Cryptic Error Tracker when they happen? If so, there should be a number at the bottom. Can you get me that number?
I would double check network stuff and hold your ISP accountable. The fiber line out of my house is provided by a small independent telco in NY that uses iNOC/iON as a backbone which is a huge fiber backbone that interconnects communities in NY. I live in one of the very few places where I don't have to deal with Verizon and Timewarner and the local guys had the money and the stones to roll out their own fiber to the home.
Anyway, I have about 7 hops to their DC which is on the east coast. I have no unexplained lag and my machine isn't the fastest (AMD Phenom II X3 with ddr2 ram and a 560Ti). Also, no unexplained lag, meaning that I had to reboot my router the other day as it was being stupid.. but other than that. None

I've pretty much given up on this game since season 8.5 was released. Prior to that, the game was totally playable without any lag. It got a little better after I got in contact with customer support and with my ISP, but now the lag's back with a vengeance. I can't even travel through a sector block or ESD without lots of rubberbanding.
Bear in mind, I have a fiber optic link and never had issues with any other games or web service. There is only crippling lag with Cryptic's games.
Folks, there is a LOT of reasons why you'd be experiencing lag and yes, it could all be network related. It's why in the PC & networking area there is a sticky about WHAT to provide so that those that know a lot about it can look. You can never say for 100% that it's not the network unless you do those tests. It doesn't matter what internet connection you have, it's what's between YOU and the SERVER.

^Exactly
Remember, the farther you are from the servers, the more chances that something gets screwey on the way to/from them. I'm pretty close to the Boston servers, and there is absolutely no lag here. One thing I would recommend since I did had problems last season.
#1 - Turned off on-demand patching
#2 - My gaming laptop didn't have a static IP assigned in my network (the only one I forgot because it was new) and my disconnects dissapeared once I have it one.
For the crashes, are you getting the Cryptic Error Tracker when they happen? If so, there should be a number at the bottom. Can you get me that number?
The crashes I've been experiencing just dump me to the desktop, no Error Tracker, just rude message from windows saying "Gameclient.exe has stopped working".
FWIW, some info in case it is certain areas or providers...
I'm in Texas on Charter internet
I have not had lag or kicks at all. Been quick switching between my 3 toons all weekend without an issue. Been doing R&D stuff (sending it to my new toon).
I did the following trying to solve/troubleshoot the lag problem I have:
1. uninstall and reinstall the game.
2. turn off on-demand patching.
3. enable EU patching proxy and gameplay proxy. (I live in Greece).
After playing a couple of hours, no lag issues at all.
Then I started configuring/fine tuning the interface, graphics, etc.
And here comes the lag again.. What happened? I switched display options from "Auto" to "DX 11". Turn it back to "Auto" and no lag. I am running an AMD FX-4100 with an Radeon HD7770.
I will update here after I have done more testing.
I unnistal and reinstall the game i and played one infected then couple of minutes again started to lag (i live in serbia) how to turn off on demand patching and i have the problem with my launcher too.I need to wait about 2-3 minutes to engage and in the game i need to wait another 3-4 minutes for my character , in the loading screen says server not responding and disconnected me from the game
Can you guys ask Cogentco about te4-2.ccr01.bos06.atlas.cogentco.com? When running tracerts a few times and the response time from one of the hops is "all over the place" then it is a sign that the router at that hop is overloaded or something else is wrong. I am unsure if the others are hitting this router as well, but response times varying from 6ms to over 200ms is enough to cause Citrix to have issues without specialized equipment to compensate in the DC... so I imagine it can make an MMO client get upset as well.
While I don't have lag, all my other hops are low in number and are quick enough to make up for it. If I was 25 hops away, an extra 207ms thrown on top and random times is really going to cause headaches.
Everyone else can check this as well by running the same commands below over and over. See if any of the hops vary as much as mine do and then go after who owns them. If they are closer to your ISP, like mine say inoc yours could say verizon or tw or comcast, then contact them. If they say Cogentco... that is Cryptic's provider and should be reported here.
I included two results below, but I ran tracert quite a few times and the results were not consistent and even higher.
