Game going Crashy Crashy

Every time I attempt to warp out of a system with a character the game critically crashes on me, and the character is unplayable since the game crashes every time I try to log back in with them.

Thankfully this happened right before the R&D weekend so I can't advance anything.... Yay.

    Are you getting the Cryptic Error Tracker with the crash? If so, there should be a number displaying below the box where it asks you for what was happening at the time of the crash. Supplying that number would help track down the issue.

    Just tried again. my characters that crashed still crash upon attempted load in, and this time I took down the number: 14179041

    Just to test it with another character, I started on Earth Spacedock, transferred to my ship, then when I attempted to warp to sector space; Crashy Crashy. The number this time is: 14179041, which coincidentally is the same as the last time!

    OK, from that error number it looks like you've got a bad file for the game. When you try to log in again, it should ask if you want to verify your files. Click yes and see if that helps. If it doesn't, or you've tried that already, you'll probably have to re-install the game.

    I've always been curious - the crash ID's are specific to what happened not like a "bug report" ticket id? If so is it possible (if it's not confidential) to get that list posted? :) Could be a good sticky to have IMO :)

    It's a little more complicated than that, and they're not in a convenient list form, so posting anything really isn't possible.
