The only times I ever consider visiting the Veteran Dilithium Refiner are those times that I want to spend some dilithium on a piece of gear, but thanks to the refinement cap, I'm less than 1000 dil short of the cost.
Each time that happens, I'm painfully reminded that the Veteran Dilithium Refiner allows you to refine 1000 dilithium in two days.
Is there any reason his doff mission couldn't be a 5-second mission with a 48 hour cooldown, instead of a 48 hour mission with...whatever cooldown it has? This is already basically how the Fleet Mine refiner works.
While I'm at it, I think a 24-hour limit would be more appropriate than 48, but I'll understand if that violates some kind of deeply-held beliefs about the refinement cap.
...talking to players is like being a mall Santa. Everyone immediately wants to tell you all of the things they want, and you are absolutely powerless to deliver 99% of them.

Just wait a day, it's faster. Or steal dilithium from an alt. Poor alt. But yeah, if waiting a day and refining 8K is faster than the 2-day project... that does seem silly.
With each passing day I wonder if I stepped into an alternate reality. The Cubs win the world series. Donald Trump is President. Britain leaves the EU. STO gets a dedicated PvP season. Engineers are "out of control" in STO.

That's what I thought the fleet mine CD was, but I wasn't 100% sure. All the more reason to make adjustments to the Veteran Refiner.
