Starfleet Operational Command (with Thomas "TheCrypticCat Marrone) has updated their regulation uniforms with Season 9.5! From officers to even the lowly cadet, there are dozens of options to explore. Check out all the possibilities in our Uniform guide.

I'm missing the Starfleet issue bikini/swimwear, is that an oversight?
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
This really is fantastic! It's professionally put together with wonderful example pics, and additional information is provided to explain the context of what each uniform is used for. This is some great out of game content.
I Have a feeling I'll be buying some more uniform slots soon, lol.
Thank you Thomas (CrypticTtC) for taking the time to do this!
>^_^<
Edit: Any chance the web based version could have a table of contents to each page added Trendy?
If I do get a chance, I'll try to implement something like that. It's a good suggestion.
1) The color references between saved or premade outfits (via the drop-down list at the tailor) do not match (i.e. once applied to the character, the uniform suddenly has a different shade of gray or the communicator has lost its golden highline). This has to be fixed asap.
2) We need an option to automatically have our rank insignia be updated once we rank up.
That is one very good post. I may not be willing to make my chars look exactly what they should according to this guide (using Subsection 2, Paragraph 1 of the Starfleet Uniform Code), but all my chars now have an 'Odyssey' outfit. And this type of comprehensive post is amazing.
One downside, I almost missed the post as it's only appearing in the header and not among the 'tiles' underneath.
I have just one question: Could we expect KDF and Romulan versions of this soon? I'm not sure if I got my Republic uniforms right, and having a unified standard to base my KDF off of would be nice.
I'd very much appreciate some more immersion in the other 1,5 factions. Especially Romulans do have some opportunity for advised Romulan republic attire. KDF may be less centrally governed when it comes to such petty things as clothes.
TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class. Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider. Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.
thanks for the PDF version was hoping someone made this lol.
"I rather believe that time is a companion who goes with us on the journey, and reminds us to cherish every moment... because they'll never come again. What we leave behind is not as important as how we lived" Picard to Riker
For those of us players going through mid-life crisis and who like their female officers to show more skin... Could you add open variants and skirts, something similar to the Sierra line and short tight skirt? I'm having trouble finding a skirt with a compatible material type so the seams and colors match up.
Oh, and while I'm thinking about it... Is there any plan in the works to allow a player to customize the uniforms for his entire crew, not just the bridge officers? While the Odyssey standardization is definitely a step in the right direction, I'd still like my entire crew to match the bridge crew.

Have you tried the Academy Skirt? That is definitely the best option. It's a 99% fit.
Rewarding paying players is all well and good (PWE and Cryptic need them to keep STO running, after all), but I'm a little miffed that F2P players are excluded from the codified uniform options. I can even handle having to get the academy package for my dress uniform, and TWOK for the enlistees, but the cost to become a 200-day veteran to wear Starfleet's standard officer uniform is prohibitive. I'd love to see the Uniform-Code-Endorsed Odyssey Long Coat become a C-Store or Fleet unlock, with veterans getting their due in some other way.

The standard officer's uniform is completely free of charge as of S9.5. I do, however, agree with you on the WoK trousers. As a old player I got the uniform since I bought my retail back when, but it's not a good thing to include non-standard issue clothing in the supposed new standard.
But you think Starfleet is behind in that regard? The official bortas sash for Klingons is a 200-year-veteran item. That's right, you don't get a sash to your uniform.
^ Memory Alpha.org is not canon. It's a open wiki with arbitrary rules. Only what can be cited from an episode is. ^
"No. Men do not roar. Women roar. Then they hurl heavy objects... and claw at you." -Worf, son of Mogh
"A filthy, mangy beast, but in its bony breast beat the heart of a warrior" - "faithful" (...) "but ever-ready to follow the call of the wild." - Martok, about a Targ
"That pig smelled horrid. A sweet-sour, extremely pungent odor. I showered and showered, and it took me a week to get rid of it!" - Robert Justman, appreciating Emmy-Lou
NOTE: Subsection 2, Paragraph 1 of the Starfleet Uniform Code remains in effect; Starship captains continue to have discretion as to their personal uniform and the uniforms of their bridge crew.
BS... then why can my captain still not wear her bikini on the bridge of her own ship
The standard officer's uniform is completely free of charge as of S9.5.
You are correct on that point. I was concerned mainly with bringing my captain in line with the Uniform Code, which requires the long coat (since he's a Vice Admiral), and in the process overlooked that fact that non-flag officers' uniforms are all standard (that is, require no unlocks).
...but it's not a good thing to include non-standard issue clothing in the supposed new standard.
Glad you agree, and it's nice to see that sort of empathy, since it doesn't affect you personally in that regard. I'm relatively new to the community, and take this as a positive sign.

I'll admit to largely disregarding that. It turns, I'm not quite as empathetic, since I'm satisfied with the Honor Guard costumes for my KDF crew. It is, of course, just as much a rip that you need to be a veteran to get a sash as it is that you need to be a veteran to get a few inches of hem below the beltline.
I saw the PDF version that Thomas the Cat made a couple days ago (I think he Tweeted it, and it made the rounds on some of the costume threads I follow). And I'd just like to say again:
THIS CONTENT IS AMAZING!!!
To me, it is one of the best things I've ever seen while playing STO. The Guide is beautiful, high quality, professional, the "story telling" aspect is highly immersive, and the "officialness" of it really makes my OCD tingle in all the right ways (and at the same time, there's text that frees everyone to continue to wear whatever they want! Excellent form, simply elegant!)
Trendy, please add a link to the PDF in the OP/blog.
I hope there are more of these in the future.
Please, please, PLEASE make a KDF version for the Bortesqu' uniforms. I can appreciate that our game's canon says the Klingons have a less centralized uniform policy (cynically I figure it's that Cryptic/PW don't feel it's worth it to invest into the KDF faction to change all the maps, NPCs, BOffs, tailor, etc. as they did Fedside... I may not like it, but I grok it.), but consider that the Flagship's crew has been seen in coordinated/matching Bort unis (red-themed, I recall), and the intro blog from a couple weeks ago had the brown version... And I've seen pics of black/silver Borts... Anyway, there ARE varieties that are at least semi-game-canon. Let's get some RP/story behind those (as done in this Starfleet guide), and give us the PDF version.
Likewise, I'd love something similar for the Romulans. Sure, they don't have new S9.5 costumes, but they launched with a variety of fantastic Romulan Republic uniforms. It would be nice to have RP story/reason behind when a RR member might wear the Repub 1 or 2 version, dress uniforms, admiral coat, their faction-specifc unis, what official colors are used by NPCs, etc.
Anyway, thanks again Thomas, et al!
You can find/contact me in game as @PatricianVetinari. Playing STO since Feb 2010.
Well I cant say I'd want your child but, you have created something that is very special, I have my own style for my captain but my crew are as you laid out, thank you so much for the pdf ( I downloaded it so I can look at it whenever I want ) an thank you for all your hard work.
I can't read this. The big advertisement for Perfect World games is covering the right half of the article text, and it doesn't have an X from which to close it.
I am using Chrome Version 36.0.1985.125 m
Me, too. Same version of Chrome.

That's what has hampered me. For a bit, I thought I was the only one with that problem.
Thanks organicmanfred for the pdf link!

What about mine?
Infinite possibilities have implications that could not be completely understood if you turned this entire universe into a giant supercomputer.
Now we need two things:
1) The color references between saved or premade outfits (via the drop-down list at the tailor) do not match (i.e. once applied to the character, the uniform suddenly has a different shade of gray or the communicator has lost its golden highline). This has to be fixed asap.

One downside, I almost missed the post as it's only appearing in the header and not among the 'tiles' underneath. Would be funny if one 'type' of swimwear were recommended with specific colours. :P Thanks, better than just saving pics. Could you add this post to the blogs and news in the tiles below the main header, please? Seems like an oversight it's missing there.

Don't make ARC mandatory! Keep it optional only!
As far as I understand, they're represented as well as the tech allows.

Fleet tailor has the dilithium unlock you need.

No, forget that. I want to have your child!!!
Its also the official skirt option, seeing as all the the female NCPs in the Odessey uniform that use a skirt are using it.
