I think that's pretty self-explanatory. I understand why it glows blue or red based on allied faction, but I think it should glow green on any Romulan ship. Just my opinion. If you agree, please say so. :P

A normie goes "Oh, what's this?"
An otaku goes "UwU, what's this?"
A furry goes "OwO, what's this?"
A werewolf goes "Awoo, what's this?"

or better yet...just make the glow customizable for all factions - let each player pick whatever damn color they want

We know they can do it, as the recent RLC proves ... Selectable 'Glow" colours is the best option, though the palette should probably be limited to the same options as the RLC. That at least would cover most situations. I might add a darker, "Royal Blue" and perhaps a darker "Violet" option as well.
But at the very least, give it the Dark Teal/Green glow for Romulans if nothing else.
Sure, I support it. It would be a way to make the Dyson ship look "greener", perhaps.
But I w ould not be surprised if it works like it does because the color is coded into the faction, and Romulans don't really count as one for items. So it means it would be a bigger change than just changing one color, it's a system level change. SO I am not optimistic it will happen any time soon.

I'm fully in support of Aegis having a green glow for Romulan faction characters. In fact I was expecting it when Legacy launched and was shocked that it was blue/red depending on allegiance. It was, if you can believe it, one of the arguments used by those who claimed that the Romulan faction wasn't a real faction like the Federation or KDF.
If you're just after the green, the Romulan shield set basically just looks like Aegis but with green neon lights and armor plates instead of patches of light-grills.
I'd rather it go by ship rather than faction. I was disappointed when they "fixed" Romulan warp traits to always be green, since that wasn't the issue at all in my eyes.
Guessing the tech isn't in place to set it on a ship-by-ship basis, so I support this idea. Green will look better on warbirds at least.

It just makes sense for Romulans to have green.

Only if they make it green for Starfleet as well:

I don't think the shield effect has anything to do with the faction.
Besides: what does the shield SFX in the shows have to do with the glow ON THE HULL of ships with Aegis effect on?

The shield FX for early TNG was more of a rainbow effect:

From mid-DS9/Voyager onwards the shield FX for Starfleet was white/blue:

I fly an Intrepid and the green warp trails are already very annoying.
The Aegis color should be based on default engine color rather than shield color.
Fed=Blue
KDF=Gold
Rom=Green
All very true.
Well, post that thread and I'll post my support.
But holding your support for my idea hostage because I didn't include your pet peeve isn't cool. :P
Not a bad idea. Then Undine ships would glow yellow.

In fact, this is one of the reason I didnt and dont want/craft an Aegis set on my Rom toon.
