Bird/Monkey Vendor

Is there any chance of getting the bird vendor back? I don't care about the doff's, but I still have a TRIBBLE ton of animals in my bags.

See, problem is that I was GOING to trade them in last night. However, a few dev's came on and one of them said that the vendor would remain but the doff's would be going away. Since the vendor would stay I figured I'd raise the rest of my birds and monkeys. Lo and behold, I log on this afternoon and find that my new pets have nowhere to go and are completely and utterly useless... instead of being able to get a few marks for them, I have to hold onto them or just throw them away.

So, yeah. Please bring back the bird/monkey vendors. Not really sure why they'd be taken away anyways... I wouldn't be as mad if I had goofed and simply ASSUMED they would stay just to find they weren't, but being told by someone who should know better and finding they were wrong kinda screwed me and, I assume, many other people over.

This is basically what happened to me, I was going to turn them in last night otherwise. >_>

The vendors will be back next summer, hold on to them until then.

Inventory space comes at a premium, I'd rather chuck'em if it comes to that. =P

That aside, I was under the impression that we'd have a way to turn them in for a short period afterward, as that's what's happened before for these kinds of events, and being told that'd be the case...

I knew it was a good idea to get everything done last night instead of trusting the vendor to still be there.

Sorry people got "trapped" but I expected it.

I figured I could check back today and restart on my birds if she was still there.

I was kind of figuring that some things could get confused and misinformed unintentionally on the part of various devs having varying responses and knowledge of things, but sounded like a sure dev answer in zone chat last night that I gave in, put my birds in for another spin cycle and held out. >_>

I probably won't next time. =P


...But still, would appreciate being able to at least turn in what we've got, if they're taking feedback on it and re-adding vendor listings and stuff for other summer event things!

Vendors should have simply been kept available for 7 days to allow everyone to complete Raising and Turning In Pets for Marks.

They did that last year... Though with the... PWE repsentation on the forums recently, I doubt that will happen this year.

Bump to the top because I agree. In fact I don't see the harm in just leaving them there all year round. You can't get more eggs or tags until next year anyway. But at least allow vendors 7-14 days after close of events to allow people to turn in or finish what they earned.

That was the case here too. I was able to turn in some animals at 19:04 hour local time. So they were extended at least 4 minutes. Not much but it's at least an extension.
