I was curious to the reason why the fleet uniforms and the oddy/bortasqu base uniforms are not available to Romulan Allied Captains? Can they not be activated to have access once they join the fleet and have chosen an allegiance?
They are part of our fleets and should have access to those uniforms too. As a Roleplayer I think it makes alot of sense to let Romulan Allies have access to those.
Some people would like to RP thier romulans as members of Starfleet. If they can let Worf in a Starfleet Uniform, Romulans can wear it too.
Well, to be fair, Worf grew up on earth with Human parents, attended Starfleet academy and was both a legal citizen of the Federation and a commissioned Starfleet officer. Romulan characters are not.
What if a person wanted to Roleplay that thier Romulan went through the academy?
What would you rather have a Romulan Federation Character added to the Character Choice or just let them use the Oddy/Bortasqu Base Uniforms and their fleet variants?
No, I get why Romulans might not get to wear oddy or bort uniforms as they are the new 'standard'. And they are not a member of that faction, like it or not. What it should be is a cool unique fleet uniform. And all members can wear it.

Nor should they be. Their ships would look weird.

The latter seems to be the easier solutuion.
Neither. If you really must, then mock up a "romulan" alien and do it that way.
It's not myfault ifyoufeel trolledbymyDisco ball...Sorry'boutit.

1/Make a fed alien that look like a Romulan. Check this if you are totally lost, and feel free to adapt.
2/Buy the odyssey uniform
That's what I did on my 2 half rom character.
AFAIK, Worf always flight Fed ships, with Fed crew as long as he was with the fed. He only flight KDF ship and crew when he switched side once or twice.
As FED romulan you can fly a federationship... but you cant wear federation uniform? .. lame....
So if youre a Romulan you have the exclusive right to wear whatever you want even in Starfleet duty... sure..makes sense...
somehow those limitations give me the impression that they will seperate romulans someday to make it an own faction oO
You only fly the fed ships at low levels. And you aren't a fed when you do. You are romulan captain flying a fed ship given to the republic by starfleet.
Also because I don't think I said before this thread, I to fully support romulans having their own unique fleet uniform.

the lower level ships given are given to the republic...no republic romulan is part of the Federation merely allied with them therefore it makes no sense what so ever that a romulan should be walking around in an oddy uniform unless they where like worf and grew up on earth or any other fed planet.
I fully support a different outfit specficly for romulans though

Romuland aren't a full faction, and they don't make unique romulan fleets. So the functionality isn't there for the devs to waste their resources on these kinds of QoL things. There's way more important stuff on their to do list. Like crafting.

Same reason T5 allied ships aren't available to them. It's all part of being a pretend, half-assed non-faction.

Worf was an actual starfleet officer and starfleet klingons are playable in the game anyway, so what's your point?

system Lord Baal is dead
Completely agree, and it would have been a good occasion to bring the Rom Nemesis Uniform with 9.5.
But Romulans & Remans wearing KDF & Starfleet uniforms? Hogwash.

Make a fed Alien, use the custmoization at creation to make them look Romulan.
