Make pre-order items craftable

I think enough time has passed, and these pre-order codes are almost impossible to find as it is.

Since the crafting system is usable at lower levels, these items could still be useful to own. Bring some good use to the crafting system, and make items like the Automated Defense Turret, TR-116A Rifle or the Neodymium Deflector craftable in the new system

    It has been near 5 years since they said they'd release the pre-order stuff. What makes you think they'll release it now?

    well what you think is not relevant now, isn't it?

    Only what is specified in the contract between cryptic and the associated pre-order companies is relevant.
    Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...

    I disagree, even with cryptic's "We'll release it." It's a preorder item for a reason. It should be buyable on ebay like everything else. I wouldn't have stood in line all those years ago for my Halo Reach Legendary Edition if Bungie made it available to everyone. I didn't preorder STO, I shouldn't have access to the items. The point of preordering is the bonus incentives you get for it.

    I would be okay with it added to the LTS as it would still require you to invest in the game but not crafting. I have most of the pre-order items but not that elusive rifle. They really are not that great except at low levels. The only super valuable piece is the collector's edition red matter capacitor which is very hard to find. I bought the c-edition a few years back for cheap but also think that item should be in the LTS. Now it would be nice if you already own these items to craft a higher level/modified version of them.

    If games started throwing out pre-order items and c-edition items later than most people wouldn't bother taking the risk on the early investment in the game for those unique trinkets. Since an LTS is a significant investment of real $$$ it's along similar lines. Crafting however, is not.

    As would I. I think crafting does need some more unique items like the Aegis set to make it more compelling. Not just the new unlockable trait things.

    Not sure about crafting the items, but the Tribble [RIV] that I got from ordering from Best Buy IScurrently available on the Zen store for 300z.

    NX was never a preorder. It was released when the Enterprise Bundle hit the C-Store. The Constitution was a preorder. The uniforms were not preorders, but part of the Collector's Edition.

    i doubt the devs would ever agree to the tr116 rifle being craftable, because remodulators would be completely useless when everyone gets a tr116. you got to see it from that logic and just realize that is the way it is.

    except for the fact the [borg] mod on the AP rep weapons are better than that rifle...the only difference is that the rifle has a non LOS secondary shot....

    The NX registry, not the NX-01 Enterprise (that was in the bundle).

    I think it is all irrelevant now, I once longed for the rifle as it will complete my pre-order collection, it is the only one I am missing. However; the way the game is heading with all its changes, none of it matters anymore. Too many things going on to become obsessed with items that are only useful at the Ensign rank. Only one or two are truly useful at a higher rank, mainly speaking of the red matter console, other than that, the rest is TRIBBLE at higher levels.

    I'd say that any zen ship before tier 4 should be cheap as hell simply because you outlevel it so quickly, there's no point to paying normal price for it.

    There is a difference between NX per fix and NX prefix. NX per fix is confusing and I assumed you meant the NX ship. Cryptic is bound by the agreements they make with each company so we will never see a Steamrunner in the C-Store. Digital Deluxe Editions and Collector's Editions are not bound by any agreement so Cryptic could put the RMC and Automated Defense Turret on the C-Store if they want to while pre-order items and promotional items are more difficult to add to the C-Store. The only preorder and promotional items that Cryptic has added to the C-Store was the Liberated Borg Bridge Officer, Constitution, Type 8 Shuttle pet, and Tribble/Targ. There are currently 7 preorder and promotional items that are not on the C-Store. So most of this TRIBBLE is not on the C-Store.

    im not arguing which one is better nor do i care to, im making the point that the devs have clearly wanted to bottleneck and gate the community into their desired design path, so use of remodulators. you use the tr116 rifle you ignore that part of what the devs setup, obviously the devs dont see any interest in the tr116 rifle and it hasnt been looked at for years. why would the devs give you the ability to run up the crafting tree to get the tr116 one day and ignore what they set out to do in the first place?
