What space phenomena would you like to see in STO?

Space is indeed the final frontier. There's lots of things in it that we are now discovering... such as that planetoid called "Sedna". Too bad the Nemesis star doesn't really exist. Or does it? hmm...

Here's one phenomena I'd STILL like to run into...

http://www.fermentarium.com/random-news/giant-cosmic-space-clouds-of-beer/

Yep. There are nebulas out there with ethyl alcohol in them. That's what you guys are drinking when you down a keg of beer.

Hopefully when we do explore such a nebula it won't be done by astronauts wielding straws and tankards full of ice....
*sings* "I like Gammera! He's so neat!!! He is full of turtle meat!!!"

"Hah! You are doomed! You're only armed with that pathetic excuse for a musical instrument!!!" *the Savage Beast moments before Lonnehart the Bard used music to soothe him... then beat him to death with his Fat Lute*

I'd love to see Hanny's Voorwerp, mostly to have an excuse to say "Voorwerp" more often. (No, I'm not Dutch, nor do I speak the language.)

Given the fact that it's an extra-galactic object, it's not very likely. Plus, it's believed to be basically just a gas cloud that's being lit by a light echo from a now-dormant quasar, so it wouldn't really be all that exciting to see up close.

Still, though. Voorwerp. Voorwerp voorwerp voorwerp.

    A Wolf-Rayet star...

Ever since reading a description of one of these bad boys in The Wounded Sky, I've thought it would be an awesome idea.

Isn't there one pointed at the Earth right now?

I'd like to see the Antares Maelstrom in STO. I'd love to see what their artists take on it is, since we've never actually seen it.

... just heard it from Khan as one of the things he was willing to chase Kirk around before giving him up.

Nagilum's black void from "Where Silence Has Lease." In fact, make it a space battle zone, with Nagilum giving out hints. >=3

I've not been to all corners of the game, so I may have missed this: Do we have rogue planets already in-game? One such was a setting for Enterprise, and astronomers have found several so far. In fact, one is only 7 light years from Earth. Supposedly, some astronomers have suggested that there are far more rogue planets than there are stars. So it'd make sense to have several in the game.

I'm going to keep it simple but what about a black hole? Tell me if i'm wrong but there hasn't been one in the game i don't think. And black holes never stop being intresting.

    A golden mop...

edit: Though, I guess that might work better as a random prop on a planet while wandering around - would generally be too small outside of having a flyout announcing there's a curious item floating starboard...

I can't remember of one being in STO.
But on the other hand BHs (lol in German this acronym means something completely different :D) are pretty rare in Trek canon too.

    A Quasar ...
It's standard Star Trek canon, that Star Fleet Captians have orders to investigate any and all Quasars, and Quasar like objects ... So let's see one then.

according to the flavor text of the VZA-4001 system located in the orellius sector block, it's supposed to contain a black hole, but the map itself contains no such thing...so that would be a good place to start for adding one
Like special weapons from other Star Trek games? Wondering if they can be replicated in STO even a little bit? Check this out: https://forum.arcgames.com/startrekonline/discussion/1262277/a-mostly-comprehensive-guide-to-star-trek-videogame-special-weapons-and-their-sto-equivalents

How about a magnetron star? If your ship gets too close to it then you will get sucked in by is magnetic field and explode on its surface:D.

The Founders' first homeworld? That is in-game? Clearly I've missed a chunk of storyline.

It would be very interesting for Starfleet to encounter a quasar, given that the nearest known quasar is 3C 273, at a distance of almost two and a half billion light-years. By way of comparison, the Milky Way is about 100,000 light-years across, and the Andromeda Galaxy is currently something over two million light-years from here (and closing!), or about one-tenth of one percent of the way to the quasar.

And it's unlikely there are any nearer than that which we're unaware of, given the energy output of a quasar...
