Hi Captains,

We will be bringing down Star Trek Online tomorrow, Thursday, June 12th, at 7AM PDT (click here to view in your timezone) for our weekly scheduled maintenance and to apply a new patch. Patch notes can be found here, and we expect this maintenance to last for 2.5 hours. The test server, launcher and access to manage your account may also be unavailable during some portions of the maintenance.

Thanks for your patience and understanding,

- The Star Trek Online Team

Since we can't reply in the patch notes thread I'll ask it here: what's the appropriate course of action for a character that did the trade-in for the patched kit before the fix?

somewhere in this patch most likely lies the constellation, if they were saving it for captain picard day. hoping for a Friday blog on it to go with a Monday release

Glad to see they're fixing the issue with Reman Males not being able to wear the swimsuits we ground for, and the removal of 'bare skin' as a texture for tops was a long time coming.

Well Captain Picard day is coming up next month, so maybe we can do something fun for it and see how players react.

No free ships or bundles will be given out, so don't get your hopes up about that. :)

Nice fixes. Can we get an increase to the favor rewards on Risa? Still a little too expensive to get things at the moment for multiple characters. :)

well, he said nothing FREE. there is a constellation model all done and ready, they just haven't released it. in some pod cast a wile back gecko talked about releasing it then. even if its just a tier 3 refit, id wouldn't hesitate buying it for use of the skin on my fleet heavy. i hardly expect a 3 pack out of such an old design

Sooo what about adding more places to build castles? Currently there are 5 places and a possible 40 ppl in one zone at a time. How does that work? Ya sure you can destroy your castle, but only after you have completed 5. And how about increasing the rewards for building a castle? I mean really 3 normally and 5 during event, that's hardly worth it for all that work. How about making it 15 for normal and 20 during event. That will be more of an incentive to do it, but we need more places to make the castles still.

Chuckling about how they fixed the Fleet Kit Trade-In after most folks probably already turned in their Fleet Kits? Wondering why they didn't leave the prefab Fleet Kits purchasable, with the Trade-In as a means to use the Modules in other Kits? Or maybe just acceptance that the old Fleet Kit is lost in exchange for one that offers handy Ground [Mods]?

I already traded in my Fleet Kits, but I'm not holding my breath for an upgrade... plus, I'm guessing that the Very Rare Mk XI are still better than the Common/Uncommon Mk XII ones you get outside of that one Fleet Kit Module you can buy anyway...

Heh, it is kind of fun. It's a bug though...would be nifty to have an option not to display it. Cause my guys in their mix of Khan/Winter Coat Black Long/Mercenary look pretty nifty flying around without it showing.

Yeah, that would be super kickass.

Can we get this bug for all factions and call it a feature, devs?

What works for me is to change instances. I always get an instance with only 4 or 5 people. Thats the only way, since if you are trying to make castles in an instance with 30 + people.. that is a hell. Only 5 spots is ridiculous.

"Excelent" patch, as every week.. :P (no comments).

Sweet the VA coat is back! My Trill captain has been demanding I make her a pirate just because she got a bunch of eggs.
A Trill, a Gorn, a Jem'Hadar, Bejoran and a Voth walk into a bar, and the Bartender asks "What is this a Joke?"
"Nope, just my away team" the trill replies before ordering a round for the bar.

Early adopters get screwed again. Dev according to the notes have not done a remedy to all those who did the trade in of the romulan engineering kit early.

"The Horga'hn Hunt event now lasts the full 15 minutes instead of ending 1 minute early. "

    Excellent.

PLEASE verify how people who already traded in their Engineering kits are to get the Mk XII modules they are owed.

The Romulan Engineering Kit Mk XII obtained via the Trade-In vendor now rewards all Mk XII Modules.

And what about Engineers, like yours truly, who already traded that Mk XII Romulan Engineering Kit in, a long time ago, and got several green/blue modules?!
