Matter-Antimatter specialist unslottable

So I've bought a blue matter-antimatter specialist auxiliary to dampeners variant to try him out, name Yaathan but I can't slot him among my space doffs.
I've also tried unslotting a doff to later put this one ... nothing.
Then I also tried to unslot all of my ground doffs ... no result.

Are you a rom and trying to use your alliance doff?

Are you fed/kdf using a rom of the right alliance? I don't think this works in any way

Is it the correct faction?

Have you tried removing all doffs then trying to slot it?

Are you at the max amount of doffs you can use?

Is the doff able to go on assignments?

Yes, I was in a hurry and didn't notice the blue small Fed icon ... I've bought a kdf one and everything's fine
