So I was walking around risa and I noticed a few thing.
1. There are androids walking around which is good because they are an underutilized race(?), the problem I have is that one of them can be found sunbathing which doesn't make sense unless they are socialising.
Also they still look weird and/or ugly.
2. There is a liberated borg there as well, because risa is the best place to recover your humanity, the problem? THE GIANT FREAKING ASSIMILATION NEEDLE ON ITS RIGHT ARM, seriously you would think that they would take that of first.
Sorry for the bad angle someone dropped a disco ball.

Your will be assimilated into the celebration.... resistance is futile.
As far as I knew the android is only available as bridge officer....
So either someone somehow unlocked the visuals on a captain character or managed it take down a Bo.
Whatever it is, I'd really want to know how he did that...
Its an NPC, not a player or boff.
But I would like to know why all of a sudden theres a whole load of androids running around, when Soong type androids are supposed to be extremely rare.
Sure, all veterans get an android boff, but the thing is the game does not recognize other players in mission and story content.
For the purpose of the story, all the thousands of players who play STO are in effect one and the same person.
Who said its a soong type?
Also b4 was researched a lot before the unlocked the "data matrix". They might have enough data (no pun intended) to mass produce...

Resistance is Futile :P
Maybe Maddox finally made that breaktrhough.
Also Data could not really feel , didn't stop him from trying.

Like i said, all our boffs don't count, as in the games storyline all the players are one person with one crew.
There is no you, me or them, there is only "the player"
I'm pretty sure that's an NPC. i saw one similar looking on the dance floor
I especially like the green haired chick in shallow diving rig and pink swimsuit. It's a really cool Ursula Andress reference (from Dr. No).
Just because it's an android (or gynoid in this case) doesn't mean it's a Soong type. There have been lots of androids though out star trek history.
The subspace party amplifier is Borg tech?

what isn't these days.
if I stop posting it doesn't make you right it. just means I don't have enough rum to continue interacting with you.
In story missions, yes. But in social hubs like ESD, Risa etc. there are bunch of us not single "player".
Those things which are Voth, Undine or Solane tech.
which combined are what, half of the things we get not counting random drops and fleet gear which for the most part better version of random drops

I wasn't asking to be taken seriously, I only wanted to point out something I found strange.:P
Half the people in this game is flying around in pure enemy ships, and you think an android in bathing suit is strange? Really?
It wasn't the bathing suit I found strange, it was the sunbathing.
Why? Because androids can't have feelings? Or flesh...
Seriously, notice how pale it is... CLEARLY needs some sun...
That's your way of seeing it but not necessarily the way other ppl have to see it.
Not to mention that if they are indeed Soong-type, they are, ahem, "fully functional" and quite capable of seeking jamaharon. (Cryptic's obvious attempts to de-sexualize that particular aspect of Risian culture notwithstanding, of course.)
Anyhoo, I'm just a little surprised the Undine apparently never thought to target Risa with a planet-killer, especially now that there are so many of Starfleet's finest on the surface and basically defenseless.

That is an interesting suggestion you could add Risa to the undine assault list of planets, they already got there own ships that could be used to defend the planet alongside the players.:)
Its not a viewpoint, its how this game and virtually all MMORPG's are set up.
The core lore and storyline does not recognized that there are thousands of admirals running around, there is only "the player".
That does not mean "other players and their BOs do not exist from your point of view".
Thats only your interpretation. And it is a viewpoint most definitely.
