so i was experiencing the usual season 9 poor framerate issues, season 8 i could run maxxed out,one thing i never took much notice of was the 2 sliders, card and cpu sliders,i was messing about with all the other sliders to no avail,so i thought id try the 2 sliders,i noticed that graphics card render slider was only about 50% and cpu was around 75%,it occured to me that the card maybe was not using its full power,so i slid it up to max and reduced the cpu slider to around 50%,bingo,graphics back to smooth good looking like before, this thread probably wont help anyone else but i posted it anyway just in case

Not really. This is like deactivating AA or any other option that affects performance. In fact, the very first step should be to check the slider bar.. i think everybody did that in first place.
Puting the bar to the left is the same as deactivating AA, dynamic lighting and other options. The only differenc is that bar is like a "preset", that changes some options. Thats all. It doesnt affect in a different way the options alone.
It is the same as always, the point is, ANY computer (or at least a computer with 2-3 years in the back) should run this game with no problem at all at maximum settings. We should not need to lower the quality of the game to do it. Its stupid.
And again, it doesnt matter what you do, zones like the undine battlezone , the voth battlezone, CE, tholian red alert, etc are laggy as hell anyways, because as everybody knows, its a problem of the engine and about what cryptic did on season 9, it doesnt matter if you put all the quality settings at minimum.
