none of that stuff I really cared about.. would like it back the way it was, but fundamentally did not change the core of ker'rat.. the only open pvp zone there is. They get rid of that, and I have no reason to remain.... especially with 20 hour pvp queues....

I am currently unemployed and have no way of buying zen. The only way that I get dilithium fast enough to get the zen that I need, currently 10,000, is to farm in pvp arenas. If there is no way to get the dilithium that i need to buy zen fast enough then there will be no use for me to play this game. So if the 20 hour cooldown goes in effect on holodeck then there will be no use for me to play and many others feel the same way about this matter. I was talking to a player the other night and was told that if this happens that they will go back to fallout and play it. I, most likely will play Knight Online again.
Enhanced Plasma Manifold (Oberth Console):
---No longer shares a cooldown with Batteries.
---Now effects Engine subsystems in the same manner as existing Aux/Shield bonuses.
---Now grants immunity to Shields, Engines, and Aux offline for full duration.
---Now grants +10 Maximum Shield, Engine, and Aux power for full duration.
---Increased base power bonus from 33 to 50, and gains additional benefit from the Starship Batteries skill.
---Base duration reduced from 20 seconds to 15 seconds, but now gains more benefit from the Starship Batteries skill.
Well, there's also the EIC (Enhanced Induction Coils that comes with the B'Rotlh Bird-of-Prey at T1 (like the Oberth for the Feds - it's a 500 ZEN boat)).
The EIC currently provides:
+33 Engine Power for 20s
+33 Weapon Power for 20s
Repairs disabled Engines
Repairs disabled Weapons
Triggers CD for batteries.
But there was no mention in the notes about the EIC getting any of the EPM changes. Hitting up Tribble to look at the EIC...same ol' same ol' EIC as on Holodeck...none of the Tribble love the EPM got. /facepalm
This is why PVP dil rewards needed a nerf. 96k dilithium from 5 hours of play? Lolwut?
Even the Voth battlezone would give around 20k dil at max from that. And that's the BEST pve dil farm.
You claim for 5 hours 20k dilithium would be the best. Untrue as was my claim of 5 hours for 96k.
5 hours dyson would give 48k maybe 56k. at 1 hour per character. an extra 8k if you rushed you could maybe push for more. It truly take 8 hours to cap I start at 10am my time and finish at 6pm my time. Where dyson would be 64k minimum, to a maximum of 80k in the same time so I truely am only faster by two character's. Yes PvP is rewarding and it needs to stay rewarding.

Force exploit to where shields and armour, by giving a base static buff to both!
Just like STF's no killing, no rewards.

One thing they could also implement in the future, if they wish to add a cooldown is pvp reward in shape of items. maybe a pvp currency and special gear for pvp. They only need to look at other MMO's

The high dili/zen ratio currently is mostly done by people who are playing the exchange market ... and the high ratio at which players are apparently in need of Zen which enables supply & demand manipulation.

Honestly: can u say how often have you yorselves played your own content until you realized that it got boring? You seem not to understand that a lot of players find it boring to play the same PVE content over and over and that they prefer the dynamics of playing against another living beeing (so called humans).
PVP is already in a bad shape and now you take away what was probably the last thing that made it attractive. have i mentioned that any PVE content you have created in the past grants more dilithium than any availabe PVP content there is? you dont believe me?
well look at some of the players running an ISE in under 5 minutes? got more toons? rinse and repeat. every run you will get almost 1k in dilithium. compare to pvp? not even gonna talk about the dyson ruunners. just one out of many possible examples. well see u have two opposing teams that fight against each other, of which all competing players will need at least 3! runs to get a mere 1440 dilithium in lets say quadruple the time if not more. an average pvp match (space) will take around 15 minutes as some people have already stated. now that by 3 and you have 1440 dilithium. can you see my point? no?
well you punish every player that still likes PVP (i wonder why), while every other player who plays your all so shiny PVE content gets rewarded with masses of dilithium, that is basically copypaste of what you ever created. granted you created new maps enemies graphics and stuff. ill give you that. but you will NEVER EVER beat the dynamics of HUMANS AGAINST HUMANS.

Someone once said on a very well know STO podcast that cryptic has more than once proven that you have problems in creating multiplayer games. by killing off pvp (without even taking a few minutes to explain what why and how) you will once more have proven that those people are right in what they said.
IMHO it looks as if you are failing to create viable PVP action and by destroying it you will destroy all evidence that PVP in this game has ever existed.
and the last time i tried to enter capture and hold daily i waited until i was kicked 3 times from the queue due to your server telling me no one was playing at all. is this an active PVP community?

Oh gosh, surely having only 2000-8000 unemployed students playing STO is a sign the game won't be making money. :eek:
I do not think you realise a lot of your income comes from this type of farming. You will be hindering your income if you go ahead with this particular update.
One. people who can't buy zen due to finances or country! won't be buying Zen to Dilithium as often as they are now.
I'm not sure you realise how much this boost's your own revenues as it is. It encourage's people to buy zen to exchange for Dilithium. Do this change and it'll cut off a lot of dilithium income, stumping the purchases on Zen. which will effect how much people will buy zen to get Dilithium.
And it won't encourage people to buy zen. If this is your hope.

Allow me to help you understand how they have made money from Dilithium.
People spend Dollars (insert what ever currency in the real world you're using) to BUY Zen.
People then put the Zen up for sale on the Dilithium Exchange.
That way people have been able to buy Dilithium for Dollars, which equals profit for Cryptic.

Yes an interesting question the KDF Version does not get a buff. Yet the Fed version does?

I tested this further and it seems to be just a typo or a missing decimal point. Still, freaked the hell out of me when I saw it.
The tooltip says 1,000% but the bonus applied is 10%.

Help me here. I am struggling to understand how this affects Cryptics income. They are closing a way of using freely farmed Dilithium to obtained what would be by definition free zen from the free dilithium. So with all this free free free going on, what income of Cryptics will be affected by this change?
Allow me to help you understand how they have made money from Dilithium.
People spend Dollars (insert what ever currency in the real world you're using) to BUY Zen.
People then put the Zen up for sale on the Dilithium Exchange.
That way people have been able to buy Dilithium for Dollars, which equals profit for Cryptic.
Is that a clearer picture for you? :cool:
