This is a build i've been toying with. For obvious reasons I didn't take the torp, but this should do ok.

critism and ideas on how to improve this are welcome.

AFAIK, you cannot use the Nimbus Distress call while flying a shuttle.

Given what I saw today, it works. At least I saw one of these freighters spawn (didn't have time to watch out for what else was spawned.)

The Point Defense Console adds a third weapon to shuttles, albeit one that fires every four minutes... Still cool.

Thats why you claim multiple and switch them when out of red alert :).

Point defense adds just about no dps through the match. Aceton assimilator, on the other hand...

O_o. Point Defence is mass murder.

Aceton is good too, though. I'm not disputing that. However, a Fed wont have one.

That's what I like to use. The quad cannons have good DPS, and a phaser array with [acc]x2 can take out other fighters pretty easy. You can use beam overload and thoron burst every 30 seconds for spike damage.

I use the aegis set because it's cheap, and because I think the extra defense works well on a fighter (it's already hard to hit). But you can use any set you like.

You need to buy the stealth fighter and tactical escort refit in addition to the peregrine fighter to set this up. A 2,500 zen value...

It's expensive and is really only for ship collectors. I like buying lots of ships so I get all the fun extra parts.

    2. Using torps with torp spread.
Torp ability uptime is TRIBBLE - as in one shot. A spread may feel powerful as it delivers instant kills, but in the gaps you're stuck with torps. Over course of the match, you'll parse far lower dps with far fewer kills.

Thing is if you run two torp launchers and a couple of projectile doffs, suddenly that downtime drops considerably. Plus the best torps to use would likely be a combo of Gravimetric and Enhanced Bio-Molecular, both of which add AOE, CC, and shield-bypassing effects as well. For zapping other shuttles yeah it'll have targeting problems, but on the new events where its your little shuttle vs comparatively big-slow targets, plus you have some teammates who likely will be packing BAs or turrets, its an idea with definite upsides.

That's true. 2 of the faster rof torps (photon variants, romulan plasma, etc) will hit global cd with 3 purple projectile doffs. Meaning a shuttle with only 2 weapons can achieve greater percentage of dps of a full sized torp boat, when comparing with energy shuttle vs energy boat. However, a 2x beam array faw shuttle still parse higher dmg. This just illustrates either torp boats need a buff, or beam array and faw needs a nerf.

Yes, just tried it. It says it doesn't work with shuttles but it did and spawned the Freighters.

In the Fleet Alert we are attacking capital ships and frigates, there are few fighters, mostly spawned by carriers.

2x Beam Array works nicely to shoot the Oshus in Atmosphere Assault, but I don't play that anymore as 27-52 marks for the other shuttle events don't compare for the shorter duration and immediately repeatable 20 player version that gives 118 and up to 148 with some buffs.

In the fleet scenario, the DHCs with their for shuttle combat lousy 45° work. I also tried DBB with BFAW and BO but they work better for destroying hull. The attempt was to focus BFAW on the front target with the 90° DBBs. But it doesn't work out nicely, with Beam Arrays BFAW in a shuttle is quite risky and damage gets spread out so much that I question the effectiviness.

I like 2 Torpedoes with my posted Undine/KHG mix or "Full Dyson" the most, i.e. a Peregrine with 2x Auto-Targeting +Photon consoles. This gives the 180° Proton gun a boost and the Gravimetric torpedo as well. You also get Protonic Barrage and some kind of automatic shield heal due to set bonuses.

I quite like that about this Shuttle Event. Torpedos work much better on the small shuttles than on the large ships where I usually don't use them.

Myself I've got good results with a "one build to pwn them all" using gravimetric torp+disruptor turrent from counter-command weapon set boosted by 2pc Adapted MACO (deflector+engine), the Counter-comand tactical relay console (from the FE), Hydrodinamic console and Particle Stabilizater console. Along with a fleet warpcore with W->A and elite fleet shield. And as doffs 3 projectile doffs and a quatermaster to reduce shield bateries CD to 1 min.

It works well with anything you can put a torp spread and HE on it. The torp dmg its badass, boosted by 3 diferent bonuses and omega kinetic sharing. And the turret its nice, a bit lower then a beam but you get a 2 mins CD point defence skill becouse of the 3 pc set skill. Even tho has only 5 km range is murders fighters, fairly damages frigaters and it strips the big ships shields for the torps to kick in better.

As an aside, on the very same ship with same settings (Tholian Widow)

70.x with the Undine Mark XII Engine
40.x with KHG Engine, Jem'Hadar etc.

    30 speed difference!

Quite interesting how much difference lots of engine power and efficient at low/high energy settings makes.

Consisted of me throwing the kinetic cutting beam plus its console plus the full assim set unto my delta flyer as well as faw and science team.

Didnt die as much, but enought times i went head to head with the assim tractor to make enought of damage to a bigger ship.

I used bio torpedo from my t4 i think.

MY favorite setup was the one I used on my Rom toon:

omni-AP beam, dyson grav torp, mkXII purple neutronium armor, Mk XII purple warhead yield console , proton particle stabilizer and full Adapted MACO space set, with TS1 on a Kestrel runabout.

I personally use 2 nice turrets. Or a turret and beam.

I have the Delta Flyer and it suits me just fine. Because of all the marks I got this weekend I created the Nukara Space set just for it along with some reputation weapons and you can't go wrong with some fleet consoles. On occassion I manage to pull 10K crit with BO1, which I think is spectactular for a shuttle!
