Regarding the cruise ship...first let me quote the blog.
Just like last year, you can participate in floater challenge courses to earn Risian pearls that you can trade for a Risian corvette, but this year the Risians are offering their luxury cruiser as well. This ship is a space yacht with all the amenities - a floating reminder of your summer vacation that you can take to the stars! Once youve earned the corvette or the luxury cruiser, the Risians will give you a significant discount if you want to pick up another one! (Any character on your account will get this discount once youve unlocked it.)
To start I want to thank Cryptic for recognizing the issue with running these events with multiple characters and avoiding turning what was supposed to be fun into a hair pulling grind. Grind once is fine...same grind per toon not and the effort to reward people playing and outfitting multiple toons is most appreciated.
Secondly, the way I read this is as an unlock per ship. So I think if you have a corvette on a toon now...any toon on the account can get a discounted corvette but not a discounted cruiser. Seems smart way to go about it is to get half the pearls on those other toons and finish with one for the unlock. Again, most appreciated and more respectful of our time.
Lastly, for those who may not like the look...the corvette was highly customizable appearance wise and I have to assume the cruiser will be too.
Those are just my thoughts but all in all...looking foward to it.
I've got to say, I'm happy that we're getting a discount for any ship we've already unlocked on another character. If it's just 40 Pearls then it'll make the grind much less tedious. Hope to see this next Winter Event as well.
Cool I visited it last time it was here. And did a few events. I will drop by again this year. Hope they added more to the item store. I might try to get some shorts for my Romulan this year.

OOOH that would be so cool, l if you could get a free corvette pet if you own both, or have your Corvette function like an Aquarius! Maybe separation like the MVA Prometheus.
I really hope that the sandcastles and sculptures mini-game has something creative about it. I hope it's not just another reskin of the anomalies/NR/Dilithium mini-game.

Most likely it will be a game where you can choose to add parts to it, like the Deferi patient diagnostics in the breen arc. Add bad parts, and it collapses.
That would be acceptable, IF there's actually a graphic representation on the ground of what you're doing instead of just a dialogue box.

And it would all look much better if the old 'clickable larger images' were present. What's up with that, Smirk? I was so happy when Branflakes started adding larger images to blogs. Now for a while, I haven't seen a single larger picture. And specifically now, with the sublime Risa presented, it's an unpleasant loss.

Also, has there been any thought given to making the parrots their intended colours or is it preferable now to keep them the way they currently are? (seniors lack the unique tufted colours, I could probably dig out a year old threads on that)

(Please note that swimwear does not fall under the uniform code for members of the various exploratory and military services, and thus such items are non-regulation for mission duty.)
