What would YOU like to see in the next Winter/Summer Event?

I know it might be a bit late for winter
and a bit early for summer, as we don't know EVERYTHING that's coming yet, even with the leaks found by the diligent players of STO
but a list for the devs to look at and for us to argue over can't hurt can it?
I'll list my things, and as people add things, we'll update as we go ^^
WINTER EVENT
1. Snowball/Snowgun PvP map(s) - i normally don't PvP, but snowball fights are
2. New Costume Options - we already know we'll be getting winter coats, scarves and stuff; how about some fur topped boots, mittens, fur lined gloves, some sort of headgear?
3. Snowboards/Hover Snowmobiles - idk this is way out of left field, but it sounds interesting
4. Combat pet - who wouldn't want a new cold themed combat pet? Klingons get the mastiff from the new starter missions, how about some more cold themed combat pets from the winter event store?
SUMMER EVENT
1. Swimming - i know it's probably never going to happen, but i want it to dangit :P
2. Alternate ways to earn Pearls - let us have the main event to earn pearls, but also let us have a skill based way to get a few extra pearls once a day, like maybe pearl diving
3. Moar Costume Options - (i'm a sucker for more stuff to wear xD ) maybe some of those open jackets i'm seeing on male risian beachgoer NPCs, or the semi-transparent top the female bartender in the new building is wearing, wouldn't mind a shawl for headgear (my reman isn't a big fan of sunburn on her scalp >.> )
4. Special Events/Happenings - besides the favor events (horga'hn hunt and dance party) there isn't much in the way of events, what about having the boat referenced in Enterprise show up in the evening and sell special food items not available from the store normally, or have some caverns for us to explore (with hidden items maybe?)

- Breen Science Boff with completely white uniform
- better way of ending the PvP ice race; no interacts, just cross the finish line to make your placing
- Rura Penthe Trial teamed Queue - escape the prison planet to the amusement of Q
- Q dressed as santa claus (could be just for christmas eve/day)
- Targ Hunt queue - cross faction queue for hunting Targs, could reward winter commodities
- Special Icy Crystal melee weapons (nano-pulse is nice, but ice and the freeze debuff is better ^^)
- a snow shovel melee weapon for use in the snowman invasion
- Snowfort PvP in the style of DotA or LoL (much like the Undine Assault queue, but with two teams and NPC snowmen on each team's side as minions; would reward winter commodities, and maybe a small daily package of Q-photos
- PvP ice race changes to include barriers along the course to prevent being disqualified; randomized obstacles to allow for skill in running; disable jumping (it's an exploitative maneuver that allows people to bunny hop with much higher speed and maneuverability than regular runners)
- fur lined pants, gloves, boots, skirt and coat options for costumes
- wooly mittens, hats, ear muffs, etc. as accessories available for GPL
- new Chocolate Epohh...mutates with antlers and glowy nose with white stripe or antlers with christmas light string and green stripe (White Chocolate and Mint Chocolate epohhs respectively)
- Winter Dabo Table with holiday symbols and sounds (maybe a holiday starbase project to get one on the starbase too)
- new snow guns: compression pistol that fires a giant snowball; sniper rifle that fires a powerful three shot burst as it's heavy attack (still a sniper shot, just visually different); a stun pistol that fires a short 2 second freeze beam (one second on players or the snowman boss)
- new elite version of the gingerbread town; getting frozen puts you on a timer, someone thaws/breaks you out or you freeze solid and shatter, gaining an injury and respawning you at the start; additional hazards like snow mortars and snow turrets as well as wood bat'leth wielding snowmen (the snowmen could also show up in the snowman invasion for additional variety)
- Snow Turret Ornament: we have the snow mortar, so the obvious is to get a snow turret that will auto attack snowmen with single snowball attacks (or maybe a less powerful version of the flurry gun tri burst normal attack)
Summer Event Suggestion List:
- Swimming (addendum: perhaps port some tech from Champions Online for this?)
- Alternate ways to earn Pearls (pearl diving, etc.); addendum: maybe have an extra 10 pearls for completing all 4 floater courses instead of just the required 3
- shawl headgear
- special events and more areas (seafood boat in the evening, cavern exploration, etc.)
- scuba diving and coral reefs using the floater mechanics
- Doff assignments for Risa like the Winter Event Doff assignments
- water balloons, maybe water guns, and water balloon/gun pvp
- risian bird lady should be available year round (just for turning in birds of course, not breeding the eggs you have)
- yachts for use on risas ocean
- a risian corvette pvp space race (perhaps with only special consoles available as 'offense'; weapons turned off)
- Risian Pleasurecraft science vessel, complete with Risian Shuttle unlock, and shuttle non-combat pet?
- Mariachi Band consumable (whether Q inspired or holographic projector)
- Atmospheric Shuttle Races on Risa, both time trial (singleplayer) and pvp variants
- more male swimsuits
- rock climbing on the moving rock cliff (mentioned in Star Trek Enterprise)
- better way of finishing the Power Board pvp race
- Interiors and Bridge for Risian Corvette and Luxury Cruiser ("all the amenities" needs to live up to the hype!)
- Animated Event Signage displaying the current/next event and their times
- Faction oriented Floaters
- better favor reward for the sand castle event
- new risian insect pet you can 'capture' only at night, get tags for and raise like the birds/monkeys, and acts like a large glowbug/butterfly cross that would hover and wheel over your shoulder
- tiered rewards (i.e. 1st 2nd and 3rd place for each tier of powerboard) in the powerboard race
- randomized powerboard courses for more variety and to keep people from memorizing courses as easily
- add some of the NPC outfits, like the mesh swimsuits the risian females wear, leggings the dance instructor and her dancers wear, the semi-transparent top some risian females wear (is directly from TNG captains holiday too!), and the open jacket the Picard lookalike wears as well; plus any other NPC costumes i may have forgotten
- flower pattern shirt and shorts (think hawaiian shirts ^^) for males and females (these would be off duty wear and useable anywhere, but also adding them to swimwear, and making swimwear pieces interchangeable is something that needs to be done)
- update the flower accent pack with vines on the arm, wrist portions to show that they're attached x3; also add a laurel like wreath to accommodate different hairstyles
- A new flower pack that would add a sash with flowers on it, as well as various single flowers for wearing in the hair
for both events
+ LESS ANNOYING NPC VO
---addendum: less chatty and quieter VO as well
+ Trade in system for summer and winter: eggs, tags, and pearls for favors for summer; and tags and q-photos for random winter commodities for winter

I would wish they devote the resources going into the development of winter and summer event stuff into other areas of the game that are actually connected to star trek and not only temporally available.
Examples include more melee weapons (Mek'leth, and knife, enhanced fistfight) more actual customs (although there are enough finished and not released apparently ???) May be more ground weapons in general ect ect ect.
That event content is kind of nice but it gets imo way to much attention while actual core areas of the game lack. Don't think the Devs really have the luxury they take themselves for that.
1. A playable Breen Sarr Theln with Plesh Brek frigate pets.
2. A Breen science boff with a snowy white uniform would be cool. (pun intended)
3. A better ending for the PvP races would be great, I believe that many would agree...
As for the summer event?
1. A Risian Pleasure Cruiser, complete with a parking lot... er... hanger of Risian shuttles, with a variety of colors.
I think that's all I can think of.

Find the closest Nataran Empire roboticization center near you and join the ranks, before the ranks find you. Oh, I know, you figure it must be so satisfying to know I basically rule the world now, and you know what? It is, but do you want to know the true definition of satisfaction? Well, let me tell you a little story. One day, you see a brand new event. They're giving out boxes that give old event stuff. Your dilithium is plentiful. You buy a whole lot of Phoenix packs on your main, and open them all. You get one epic token. Then, you decide, that since you have all the Breen ships and don't give a damn about the others, you exchange it for an ultra rare, and grab yourself a Jem'Hadar Attack Ship and for the hell of it, a Voth Bulwark. You open both, leaving the Bulwark in your vast masses of starships as you jump into the bugship and deck it out, deck by deck, into the most awesome Jem'Hadar ship you can. You fly it. You enjoy it. Eventually, you get bored and leave, leaving the old Bulwark never flown... until later. Your main is long complete. Your new alt main, based off some character you pulled out of nothing just to explain away some starship being in service without the command of your dear admiral, is also complete. Mostly. Their reps and doffs are hard at work, getting you stuff. You realize the potential, and head back for your dear admiral, pull the most Voth themed build you can out of thin air, and suit up in your giant ship in the shape of you know what. You head out... and cause all sorts of havoc. Enemies scream out your name as their very life is drained away by your swarms of Aceton Assimilators. They complain to the devs of your OPness when you revive yourself from death every time you die. Do you show any form of mercy? No. After all, this isn't the United Federation of Planets, this is mother frakkin' Starfleet, where you explore strange new worlds and kick butt never kicked before. Oh, and you realize that I just wrote another speech rivaling your own signature. Cool. Oh, wait, that's just the original draft, it is part of my signature now. Oh, and yes, I am aware that I have become a Canadian Regent; one day, sooner than you'd expect, we'll suddenly decide to take over the world and declare an "alliance", and I shall become it's Regent. You know, like the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance in the mirror universe of our beloved Star Trek. Oh, who'll we be taking over with? I dunno, maybe [REDACTED], or maybe aliens from outer space. Oh, and definitely keep your eye out on any two-tailed foxes, because if they ain't glowing, they're definitely an imposter. Possibly an Undine, we caught one of those once in my place once. Oh, and if you find a two-tailed fox that doesn't like the cold... most certainly ask him to say sorry. If he refuses, DESTROY HIM WITH A DOOMSDAY MACHINE, BECAUSE THERE'S NOTHING ELSE THAT WOULD BE ENOUGH AGAINST SUCH AN OVERPOWERED IMPOSTER!

liking some of the ideas
Ooh that sounds like a good idea, high speed atmospheric shuttle races
perhaps a time trial
and a pvp version ^^ with some special shuttle modifications (auto equips default engines and such) and you get 4 consumables for the race, something to act as a boost, and one to act as a push (like maybe a photonic shockwave) to knock away rivals, another to fly forward and disable a shuttle for a few seconds, and another to drop behind you to slow your rivals
--adding it to the list--
- A race track where carnivorous Jackal Mastiffs are chasing the runners... lag too far behind and they catch up to you and eat you. If you're not 1st place, you get eaten still. Also, Prison Guards think this is an escape attempt. The occasional runner gets shot and killed. Maybe before he crosses the finish line.
- Scavenger hunt in the wilds of Rura Penthe. Maybe a few locales where Kirk & McCoy hid at during their escape from the prison. Need to find shelter, which is sparse. Stay out too long and you freeze and die. Occasional critters like Jackal Mastiffs will come hunting for you. In packs. If the Mastiffs don't kill you, you'll still die and become frozen. For a limited time, nearby players can loot a copy of your frozen character, complete with your name and frozen death throes, and stuff it as a Floor Trophy of their ship's galley (cafeteria for you landlubbers).
- Mine Dilithium! That is the purpose of Rura Penthe anyways... other than making a cold, miserable place for prisoners to die. Players get to mine dilithium as they would on the Ferengi hold in Beta Ursae Sector Block. But you have to mine a lot! The Empire gets a cut. If you don't mine enough within a certain amount of time, you forfeit what you mined that session (to the Empire, of course) while the Prison Guards beat you and throw you outside in the cold to die. Then the Jackal Mastiffs come finish you off.
- You hear the occasional, powerful voice out of nowhere as Q chortles upon witnessing some hapless fool die on Rura Penthe.
Some special Rura Penthe Winter Event Items:
- Craftable "HELP ME" wooden signs for you to hold while dressed in rags as a prisoner. Hold it up like Wile E. Coyote would. Option to make the lettering in English, Vulcan, Romulan, Klingonese. Doesn't matter. You'll die anyways.
- Food Scraps you occasionally find on the floors of the prison. Very minor buffs.
- Participants to the event receive a title, "Rura Penthe Prisoner"
- Participants dying to Jackal Mastiffs receive a title, "Frozen Dinner"
- Participants after completing so many events or whatever, receive an accolade and title, "Rura Penthe Escapee"
- Prisoner Clothing: Ranging from fully bundled up in rags and furs for the guys, and the revealing female attire that shows only their eyes. It's freakin' cold out there!
- Winter Event Ship - I dont' care what kind or what stats you have. But every time your ship goes down to 20% or lower hull, there's a large chance a Klingon Imperial ship will come in, finish you off, and you get to witness a cutscene as your captain gets hauled away onto the Klingon ship. To go to?... Rura Penthe! You automatically log out that character for 1 day.
More clothes, KDF always needs more.

Swimming animation that starts when you reach ~chin height in the water.
You have a tan-ometer that rises with a click. A timer counts down the time you have to reach or maintain an optimal tan. Too many clicks at once send you over a threshold and you burn. You aim for a tan range. If you burn you lose.

Event Signage
The events are poorly represented, with only a few audio call outs just as the event starts (and two of the events do not have audio call outs; namely the horga'hn hunt and pvp board race)
what i propose is to have multiple animated signs showing what the current and next event is
Powerboard Race Finish
The powerboard race needs to be tweaked, the current finish..taking into account the speed the powerboards move, is not a good finish as it's very easy to overshoot the flag and lose it to someone behind you; to that end, the race should have the place/prize automatically taken for the person who crosses the finish line for their given placing
Risian Corvette/Luxury Cruiser Bridge, Interior
pretty self explanatory, by the time of the event the devs had said they sadly hadn't had the time to get to a unique bridge for the risian ships; what about next year? that should be enough time even if they only devote a small amount of time to it; and they could include a special interior as well
specifically the luxury cruiser should live up to its name, should have a full bar and restaurant on board (much like the crew area on starfleet ships has), a dabo table, pool/relaxation area, commodities vendor, gpl console, etc.
(also the swimwear should be wearable on board the ships, i'd say all ships but i'm sure people would disagree with me on it)
Further, the corvette should also get its own racing inspired interior, that would be even more awesome, if not an efficient use of the devs time x3
Faction Oriented Superior Floaters
we have these sweet faction oriented superior level powerboards (still holding out hope they'll patch in a romulan one ^^) so how about some superior level floaters in faction looks?
Not everyone tans. Some of us sun-green, or -blue. :P I guess if you fail this on Elite, you get a sunburn injury?
Seriously though, one tweak I'd like to see is in the "Flying High" event. You only need to complete 3 out of 4 courses to get 40 pearls. Would be nice if you got, say, an additional 10 pearls for completing all 4 courses within the time limit.
