The old overflow bag bug is now much more annoying

OK, the Overflow bag, and not being able to open it, is a well known bug that has been around an awful long time. We learned to live with it, like we do with so many STO bugs, because, well, vendor trash is just that...

However, with the new system of rewarding marks in boxes you have to open, marks are getting trapped in the overflow bag and useless. Yes, I try to solve it the simple way and make sure I've always got inventory cleaned out, but we all know it doesn't always go that way.

I think this a good enough reason that it's time for Cryptic to re-evaluate the priority of fixing this bug.

Now, all that being said, am I just missing some super-secret process of opening the bag? I try logging on and off, usually doesn't help. Sometimes I can't get in the bag, then an hour later, bam, no problem. It's very random. And annoying.

Exit the game, entirely. Wait a while (5 min maybe, 10 possibly?) for it to reset. Log in. Bag should function normally after this.

If you just change characters or do a quick exit, the game keeps a lot of your status because people crash mid-battle etc and it keeps their info for a little bit so they can get back into their group/instance quickly and without losing the team/instance/etc info. But it remembers other stuff too --- so long as I do not log out, even with char changes and more, it remembers my pet settings, cruiser command settings, what I last searched in the exchange, and many many other things "persist". And they persist for at least 5 min after an exit/restart as well.

Well, thanks for the advice, and I just tried it that way, but still no go. :(

This is most annoying. I want my mark boxes. I guess it's nice to want things.

It fixed itself with me by adding one thing in the overflow bag (and directly emptying it).

Fill your inventory with useless stuff (for ex. torps), team yourself up and do some foundry grind or red alert. As soon you get something added, try emptying it.

    Nerf is OP, plz nerf
That's quite the paradox, how could you nerf nerf when the nerf is nerfed. But how would the nerf be nerfed when the nerf is nerfed? This allows the nerf not to be nerfed since the nerf is nerfed? But if the nerf isn't nerfed, it could still nerf nerfs. But as soon as the nerf is nerfed, the nerf power is lost. So paradoxally it the nerf nerf lost its nerf, while it's still nerfed, which cannot be because the nerf was unable to nerf.

I call it, the Stoutes paradox.
