I opened ten lockboxes today and received a Nicor on the seventh one I opened.

    Lucky? Sure! :D

But OP: RNG is RNG, you can't predict randomness.

    Edited for a typo.

I got mine selling keys, was going to wait for it to drop a bit more but couldn't wait and after trying it I'm not sure how much it will....ship is awesome second only in power to my scimitar except it handles like a dream!...love it totally op!

Good to know I made the right purchase on buying my Scimitar bundle and not wasting them on keys.

The only reason I might open a few boxes would be for some lobi and some officers and if I get lucky great.

OP in a nutshell: "I'm an entitled rich person who feels he deserves to fly an ugly OP insult to the lore because I can't do math."

Frak you and the targ you rode in on.

Actually lobi are a great reason to open lock boxes - the undine armor costume is fantastic, especially if you want to make a collector suit from Mass Effect 2 :)

Pretty happy with the entire lock box system implemented by PWE really. It's entirely optional and ultimately you can get it all using in-game resources traded to other players.

I picked up the Nicor for 170 Million EC and then sold it right back for 192 million ec :D

Why go the luck route when you can have a sure thing going the EC route

You know what? You totally deserve not getting the ship. And I hope you never get it. This will teach you to avoid gambling any further in life. People like you remember me to never be hardcore on these things.

On mathematical side, you encountered the "gambler's error", expecting that on the long shot you would win something. Odds of getting the ship for each package are the same and are not connected. You may call it "bad luck", I call it lack of intelligence. Maths trolled you big time.

Just to make you feel really bad at this point, I won a cell ship at first attempt from a pack gifted by a friend as "thank you" present. Sold it and got a Mobius.

Thank you OP. Your 200 bucks will help pay the electricity bill at Cryptic, and keep this game running. Your generosity knows no bounds.

    Yup.

But the "bad" thing is, since cryptic knows there are a lot of people like him, they will never fix anything, and they will focus only in more lockboxes lol. Thank you. Thank you very much indeed.

    Hi,

This thread has now most definitely run its course. Too many people are under the impression that this thread is a declaration of "Open Season" on the OP and making comments that go beyond constructive criticism and are violations of forum rules.

I'm closing this thread down with my trusty [Wide Angle Forum Phaser Mk XIV [+Mod][-Flames]].

    "ZAP!"

For future reference please remember that it helps a great deal when posts which violate the PWE Community Rules and Policies are not responded to and are reported via submitting a Forums and Website Ticket (click here).

Thread closure does not necessarily absolve posters from further moderation activity, such as warnings and infractions. It means you can no longer take back what you posted voluntarily.
