Does anyone find this idea bizzaire, like how does a Klingon General end up captain of a Cruiseliner, and not have a family member commit mok'to'vor on them.
For my Orion a party boat makes sense, Orions are hedonists and sex obsessed, even for the other races maybe I can see it, cat's like thier luxuries, Lethans will likely take what they can get, Gorn are pragmatic, and Nauicaan will use whatever they can steal, but Klingons Generals?
If you find the idea bizarre...don't do it? The KDF consists of more than just Klingons now, and you've covered every other race. Not every combination is going to seem appropriate to you.
It's simple, you can relax and do stuff for fun on Risa instead of grinding for the ship. You're probably better off that way if you ask me. You don't really have to get the ship and I agree with you - a Klingon warrior of the KDF wouldn't fly such a thing, that's why I'm not grinding it either. I'll maybe get one for my Human for the novelty and that's about it.
@doffincomrade - Love your sig man, I'm eagerly awaiting for that one as well. I really believe that this will be the KDF 5 tac.consoles destroyer, that would be sooo Nausicaan in nature. Let's hope both of us are right on that one!
My logic as to why a klingon would fly it is simple:
1. Imagine the honor of using an underarmed ship like a cruiser to kill the mightiest of enemies - why, they'd be singing songs of your exploits!
2. The utter humiliation of your opponents at being bested by such a ship
3. It'd be an excellent training facility ship - many holodecks, a wide space for combat practice without needing the optical trickery of the holodeck and plenty of room to station landing troops
4. Few would suspect a klingon to fly such a ship, giving them a major element of surprise (I'd magine many a captain would be knoked off balance by the face of a klingon in the captains chair)

I imagine it will be more of a captain's sunlounger then an actuall chair. :P

A normie goes "Oh, what's this?"
An otaku goes "UwU, what's this?"
A furry goes "OwO, what's this?"
A werewolf goes "Awoo, what's this?"
"It's nothing personal, I just don't feel like I've gotten to know a person until I've sniffed their crotch." "We said 'no' to Mr. Curiosity. We're not home. Curiosity is not welcome, it is not to be invited in. Curiosity...is bad. It gets you in trouble, it gets you killed, and more importantly...it makes you poor!"

...talking to players is like being a mall Santa. Everyone immediately wants to tell you all of the things they want, and you are absolutely powerless to deliver 99% of them.
I play my Orion character as a privateer under contract with the KDF, and started using the Risian Corvette as soon as I earned it.
It's a captured ship, retrofitted into being a pirate vessel.
The same logic could easily apply to the cruiser.
Prety much this. Even Klingons might use a captured ship and repurposed it for combat. If it's a t5 ship it's hard to explain a cruise liner having en par capacitys with a warship in any other way anyway IMO.
