mirror somraw raptor counterpart

hi,

i tried the mirror somraw raptor, and i like it very much, but i can't find a fleet or retrofit counterpart ; i mean a ship with the same boff layout and almost like the raptor (size, turn rate etc). someone would know which ship could be a counterpart of the mirror raptor?

i know, but it hasn't the same boff seats

for example the counterpart of the mirror heavy cruiser retrofit is the Fleet Support Cruiser Retrofit (same boff seats etc)

orangeitis is right, this is as close to the setup you're going to get on the KDF side.
This is what happens when there is only a limited number of Fleet Level KDF retrofits in the game.;)

There isnt a *raptor* with that layout -- cmdr tac and ltcmdr sci is what you like I am guessing?


Closest match #1 is the vet destroyer, the peghqu. The dyson destroyers are also close BUT they are missing a forward weapon.

A BOP can of course fit the officers but its a much more fragile ship and not "really" a match.

A couple of the cross faction/box/lobi ships are close as well.

The mirror ship is retrofit-class. There aren't any prime-universe equivalents to it, with the same seating, if that's what you mean. And there aren't any fleet upgrades to the mirror ships.

The closest you can get to it in KDF is the Korath but its a bit more of a science ship than an escort, and it doesnt have a cloak. [ps--I forgot about the Peghqu' but its a vet ship]

Otherwise its BOP time.

this is sad, i would like to have an escort with the ltcmdr seat (grav well addict :P), this one would be perfect http://sto.gamepedia.com/Krenn_Temporal_Destroyer , but i don't have 800 lobi crystals and i don't want to spend money on keys. so i'm going to keep my mirror somraw, and to add something new, the mogh will be perfect.

If you just want an escort with good officers, get a norgh BOP. I have a character in one and it is a sweet ship. But I say that as an engineer that can MW to keep it alive.... other captain types will eat up officer skills with healing, esp a few shield heals. And it takes a solid set of gear as well. Basically making it work by using power creep to become viable instead of OP. However, a 9 console ship, and you already have a 9 console ship (the mirror raptor) so spending the energy to earn a norgh might be redundant.

I fly the Krenn and I can confirm that it's perfect. It also has a very good shield mod. It also looks powerfull and very Klingon with the big guns all over the ship.

You can get one via the exchange if you're good with EC, the last is checked they go for around 90 mil. I got lucky one day - I was opening lockboxes to get Tal'Shiar command codes for my Romulan and got a Tal'Shiar fugly thingy that I traded for the Krenn I have now. Never regreted it.

That said, I also run a Mogh and wow - that is the Klignon battlecruiser. All the KDF battlecruisers are awesome and you'll often find people that prefer others - but to me nothing screams Klingon as a big rugged battlecruiser with 5 forward weapons. The Mogh is pure awesomeness.

EDIT: You may want to take a look at the Fleet Scourge Destoryer, it doesn't cloak and doesn't have a Lt.Cmdr Sci, but still has 3 science Boff abilities and it's a great ship as far as destroyers/escorts go.

Personally now that they've done something with the BoP, I seriously think the raptors could use some TLC. They could use some more fleet models, and yes I have been against cookie cutter, but in this case I think we should turn this into a small carrier like the Ak'rif, but limit ths ship to carrying drones like the swarmers, or phaser drones so it can carry small pets.

I just think they are the most underloved and developed class in the game. I think they could use a leg up to make them more attractive.
