Very Rare Purple Saurian Boffs lose Efficient Trait in S9

I bought a Very Rare Purple Saurian Engineer Boff with Efficient off of the exchange earlier and when I added them to my roster they turned to Blue Rare quality. Being that I was trying to get rid of my Blues I dismissed them and I looked this bug up and it seems it is a long running bug were Efficient is seen as a Superior Trait and the way to make sure to get a true Purple Very Rare Efficient Saurian was to make sure they had 2 Superior Traits listed. So I found another that had Efficient and 2 Superior Traits and when I added this one to my crew, they lost the Efficient trait since it would have given them 5 traits but they did stay Purple Very Rare quality.

The Boffs worked fine before S9 but with the changes to the traits, it seems it is impossible to have a Purple Very Rare Efficient Saurian anymore. I wasted 2 million EC to discover this bug and am a bit annoyed now so hopefully it can get fixed and my Purple Saurian gets the Efficient trait back.

It would be great if they fixed this for you and everyone else, but I wouldn't hold my breath for it.

In the past they've screwed over players en masse with things like this. Eg. Romulan players originally got one free (bound) boff (Veril) from a mission with a very rare trait worth 10-15'ish million EC. They changed the trait, splitting it into two separate ones, and Veril got left with the useless part of it, effectively shortchanging every Romulan faction character 10-15'ish million EC.

My guess is that from their perspective this isn't a bug. They'd probably consider it one of the aspects of gameplay which are subject to change under the TOS and couldn't care less about players being shortchanged.

I don't care about the EC, I just want the trait I was supposed to have on the character. It just seems all Boffs are limited to 4 traits so the correct Purple Very Rare Efficient Saurians with 2 Superior traits would end up with 5 traits since Efficient is considered a Superior Trait and I guess that is why it is getting dropped rather then one of the regular traits.

Are you sure your 'Efficient' Purple Saurian BOs had 2 Superior Traits? As the only Purple Saurians I've seen with 2 Superior Traits are the Non-Efficient variety..

And its still possible to have 'Efficient' Purple Saurian BOs, as I have many a non-commissioned Efficient Purple Saurians in Storage.

Now there is a long standing display problem, that once their commissioned, they display as 'Blue' (with only 1 'Superior' Trait...) but this in no way effects the original stats of the Efficient Purple Saurian BO...

Since this has not been changed, Purple 'Efficient' Saurian BOs with 2 Superior Skills simply don't exist in the game...

Efficient seems to be missing from the game in general now, my Saurian captain has lost it with the revamp of the traits system
