Get out of here. No no no no no no no and again no. The Sierra and Antares outfits are some of the best in the game imo. Far better than the horrid oddy outfits.
The oddy uniform strikes me as the b*stard child of the TMP uniforms and the Voyager uniforms.
If they had to standardise, then I would have standardised on the Sierra 1 top, Ankle height "panels + pockets" trousers with the standard leather boots. Much better.
Seriously, what's with the fawning over that odd outfit?
I find the Sierra and Antares outfits to be tripe. They're awful.
After looking over them..... I think the Oddy uniform is more like a combination of Sierra and the Academy uniform.
and yes, the Sierra pants and boots are among the best the Feds have.
Aye. Sadly, female toons haven't been able to use the nice looking "Ankle height" panels & pockets trousers. Instead they have the rather awkward looking "Knee high" ones. It has been this way since season 8 made its debut I think. Male toons still have access to both from what I hear. Sad
If only we had the ability to chose which uniform was the "global" standard uniform that NPCs wore..
I keep asking this: Can someone please, please, please work out guides for the colour codes for the Odyssey uniforms as they are seen on ESD? I want the crews of my ships wearing the identical uniforms with the identical colours.
I'm really surprised that no-one else, especially on this thread, is asking for this...
Thomas posted them on Reddit, there is going to be Devblog next week on it as well
Anyone summoned your security escort lately? I was pleased to see them wearing Oddy uniforms too

The only issue I have with the the Oddy uniform is that it doesn't save/load correctly on Boffs. I Normally I tweak everything to be just how I want it on my Captain, then save it and use "Load Costume Only" to apply it to my other boffs.
...Only applying it to male boffs turns them into a clone of my captain.
...And applying it to a female boff loads the sierra uniform.

Ew. The Sierra and Antares outfits are terrible, and aren't in the slightest bit trek.
That's not really a fair comparison. The pictures you use of Antares and Sierra are colored oddly to show which parts can be colored, not because that's how they're supposed to look.
The default colors aren't very good, but some of them at least can be made to look good, and look Trek.
Edit: Antares Sierra Different Sierra

It's not a fair comparison because they look nothing alike. Seriously, I want to avoid his dealer. :P
Seriously though, the only use I ever had for those uniforms was using the Antares 3 open to create a very convincing Miranda Lawson clone.
Now that I think about it, the Dyson Uniform might make a decent Mordin. I'll have to try that.

It's not a fair comparison because those colour choices were the most screwed up ones imaginable, as both of us have said already. Those uniforms, if put in the same colours are actually surprisingly close. As I said, they are not an exact match but an evolution.
Also, I resent the accusations that I use illegal drugs.

I think your dealer is mixing his goods man. The only evolution happening here is the bad kind.

Oh that is terrific - I have missed some consistent visuals for Starfleet for so long - who knows why they thought originally designing a dozen completely different uniforms and claiming that "the uniform code has been lifted" was a good idea to begin with. You can still offer full customization without that nonsense, players will customize their toons. No phony ingame explanation needed.
I feel with the new default uniforms the game kinda "matured" visually. Now it would be nice to see more 25th century type-6 refit starships in NPC groups
Btw: It's interesting that my headcanon's field uniforms were pretty close to the new canon uniform, although the colours on mine are upside down (brighter uniform with darker shoulders).
^ Memory Alpha.org is not canon. It's a open wiki with arbitrary rules. Only what can be cited from an episode is. ^

Well i find it interesting to note that Uniforms for flag officers have historically been a little different, Age of sail Royal Navy flag uniforms would often be tailored specifically for the officer to wear, so they had their own style to them
So they could have still let the standard NPCs have a code and let us have our own uniforms from the start, though it seems that will be the case if they are putting all the NPCs in oddy
I was also pleased to see my uniform was close to theirs, seems I have been wearing the Captain uniform for a while now, though I swtiched to the all black Flag uniforms lately

...And it won't even load on my alien boff.
So I have to edit every one of them manually.

Erm, yes they are? Imo, the Sierra 1 outfit looks like an evolution of the Voyager outfit. The antares seems an evolution of the Tos outfits.
They are no more or less trek than the oddy outfits.
. . . Antares Uniform. TOS Uniform.
. . . Sierra Uniform. VOY uniform.
What drugs are you on???

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Very much appreciated indeed!
What alexmakepeace said. Those are not fair comparisons simply because you chose the pics which had the most smegged up colour choices imaginable.

Seriously dude, why the flaming?
If that's what you consider flaming.... I pity you.
Insults? Accusations of drug taking? Sounds like flaming to me.
Not to mention totally derailing the topic.
Ooooo. You make this so easy. Tempting. But I'm not going to bite this time.
I assure you, I am not trolling. But thank you for turning it on me as if I'm the one to blame.
