I have been doing almost religious daily grinds in this for about 6 months. I have been streaming it on twitch since January.. This ends now. Why? Because I hate everything done with Season 9 that much.. I could get into the detailed lists, but I'm not.. Too much to list, too little to praise and it's all already been said on the forums so here goes the short list.
Kit remakes I could care less about, but thought it would be cool when I first saw it.
The reworking of the Rep stuff woulda been fine if that's the way it was done in the first place, but changing it now ****s on every veteran player that played them the old way and basically it's a nutshot on the established users as far as I'm concerned.
The new STFs are ungodly long grinds for jack **** pay offs.
The new battlefield seems to be stuck 90% of the time on 3 minute countdown timers that never count down.
The new mission(s) is no F-ing fun.
In short, 1/2 the reasons I was playing have been basically destroyed by this update and everything that could have been improved has only been made worse.
So.. I apologize to all my stream viewers that started playing because of watching my stream and my saying it was a cool game... It has now lost it's cool status, and unless Cryptic and PWE do some serious back peddling to fix the damage they just did, I don't see myself being a regular grinder here anymore, I regret ever having invested in my lifetime account and I'm done streaming this 2 to 6 hours a day until I know Cryptic has restored the game and stopped focusing purely on the meta game. When it comes to Metagame vs. the game itself in an MMO, I will vote for actual game every time and too much Metagame is exactly why I don't play 95% of the MMOs I don't play.

Ahem...so anyway. Meh, personally I'm not a fan of these kinds of threads. Cause you know, folks talk about how they were fine with the game - they loved the game - all was happy in their worlds with the game...yet they never read any dev blogs? They never read any of the complaint threads going on for weeks? They never headed over to Tribble themselves to check it out? As if this all came out of the blue and hadn't been subject to ongoing discussions for how long? So wham, bam, oh damn - they get hit with it all at once rather than getting hit by it piecemeal like the others...and well, they did it to themselves, no?
All the moaning and groaning detracts from the issues of trying to get the plethora of bugs fixed. It's a trip to see so many complaints about various changes without mention of the myriad of bugs...but much like they were oblivious to all the changes that were coming (which provided them ample opportunity to voice their opinions and be ignored with the rest - ahem)...it's like they're oblivious to the bugs and how those might just be making everything worse for them.

It's simple and lve said it 4 times. This is a GOOD THING. Requires people to actually THINK about their setup, not just have 20+ buffs going at all times just for spending time. Now you have to PLAN. And for some I am sure that's just a horrible thing.
Adapt or die and uninstall. That simple. Throwing a temper tantrum is not going to get you anywhere.

Because unlike past seasons, Season 9 didn't leave the old content untouched... It changed the ENTIRE Reputation system... That's why... Because it didn't leave the rest of the game untouched... It broke the game.

You are so wrong lol. As far as i know you have 8 traits. And the worst part is, you dont even need to "develop" those traits, since they will always there for you to activate em lol. This means, people only needs to activate all the space traits or the ground ones, and thats it. Less power creep??? hahahaha are you sure, because with this method, is the opposite.
This game is broken for good. Unless broken for you is a word that means something else. Now the game is even easier, what means more power creep.
Looks like they creating more & more grind, longer mission times, reduced rewards

No I agree. People just want to work hard, and be rewarded with being the biggest billy BA around. They can't stand it when they get trimmed down to size for the sake of all. I mean I've seen so many cry about power creep then suddenly a remedy is put in place, one that promotes tactical and strategic planning of abiities and people have a hissy fit.

You appear to have switched from talking about the rep traits to the species traits.

Why didn't Cryptic plan from the start? They established the rep system, kept adding them, and recently decided to hard cap the players because they lacked the foresight. Why do the players get punished for Cryptic's short sightedness?
That is the gripe. We are angry because we had our rep passives taken away under the premise of power creep, but in reality...rep passives were the least of the problem. The only reason rep passives were nerfed was because they are not money sinkholes...like Starbases and Fleet gear.
What if it was pre-refined?
No.. It also added drop boxes every time you start a new rep project, which give things that previously had to be bought in the rep stores for 10s and hundreds of thousands of Dilithium.. Now all you need to do is run the project a few times and hope it drops the goodie you were after... It's a LOT more than just rejuggling the power picks from doing the Rep projects, infact when it comes right down to it, that is the LEAST of my gripes about their rep system redesign.
Personal traits. I agree that reputation treats are really screwed. I was talking about the personal traits, its insulting how easy and not challenging the system is now.

equallity for everyone =/= RIGHT I love how we just keep hammering the veteran players who have played within the rules. They're the ones that keep the game going and buy things and you Cryptic CONTINUE to kick them in the balls! You did so in season 7 i am betting you did in 8 because i left over 7 and came back to check out nine. And you've done it again here.

That's right i said it! AND I MEAN IT! I've seen insane play in battlezones and in STF's since i came back the gameplay that comes from people just BEGGING for their ****ing handouts instead of earning it. Honestly it makes me sick that some of these people will jump ship to Star Citizen, those guys dont need this crowd.
Unfortunately i doubt you'll see the protest that happened at season 7's launch that nearly brought the game to it's knees. (less than 50 per zen. daaaamn.)
Too many sheeple in this game do not give a damn about anything that happens they the kind that thinks EVERYTHING IS AWESOME. We have complained loudly and strongly before it has gotten us nowhere. The only thing that is even close to remotely understood is Money and i doubt even that given who their real overlords are. cBS.
It honestly parallel's what's happening in the outside world so i really dont have a problem with using those terms especially since cBS owns the rights to Star Trek currently. (Which is a ****ing disgrace it belongs to that pack of liberal ****tards trying to hide the truth)
Until people are willing to open their eyes (Which in this case is never) A bad game will be a bad game. My only advice at this point is delete every character don't give away your stuff, uninstall the program and never visit these forums again. The first patch doesn't even touch the broken space battlezone. You would THINK that would be a top priority. It isn't even listed in known issues. For the record this post has been saved in advance because i will talk and post about this later in other forums. You may silence me here you can not silence me elsewhere.
Everything is NOT Awesome. Cryptic continues to turn a deaf ear to veteran players in favor of sheeple masses who will dish out cash for ANYTHING. They're blind idiots who have turned this game into something other than star trek. The only solace that can be taken is that nothing in this game will EVER be considered canon by ANY serious TV producer. If Star Trek were to return to TV this game will have ZERO role in it. This isnt a goodbye post. But i feel the pain of the OP. I had simular thoughts in season 7.

I understood it back in season 7. Glad to say i never truly spent cash on this game. Like i said. I came back to check out season 9 and see if things have gotten better. Obviously they havent.
I think your getting close, it's not power creep. I still don't understand why they did it because it makes the new reputation irrelevant to many of us.
Perhaps they have a plan to sell more rep slots for lobi crystals next month?
Let me see 10 passive powers in a Tier 4 ship vs 4 passives in a bug ship tooled up with fleet gear - you might have a point there.
You should stop playing. This kind of display shows an unhealthy relationship with the game.
