Collecting DOFF dilithum bug

Not sure if this is a bug or operator error. I did a forum and Google search and did not find anything.

When collect DOFF awards any dilithum awards will wipe out the previous award. Example;
1st DOFF award is 5 dilithum. The ASSETS window shows;
5 dilithum ore
1000 refined

2nd DOFF award is 10 dilithum. The ASSETS window shows;
10 dilithum ore
1000 refined

The 10 dilithum wiped out the 5 dilithum for a loss of 5 dilithum! In the end you only get what ever the last DOFF award is collected.

The work around is collect the award and refine it before collecting another award. Example;
1st DOFF award is 5 dilithum. The ASSETS window shows;
5 dilithum ore
1000 refined

Click on [REFINE] and ASSET window shows;
0 dilithum ore
1005 refined

2nd DOFF award is 10 dilithum. The ASSETS window shows;
10 dilithum ore
1005 refined

Click [REFINE] and ASSETS window shows;
0 dilithum ore
1015 refined

Has it always been this way or is this a bug?
