So, now the two factions are finally at peace... when can we expect our crossfaction access?
You know, teaming to help eachother out with missions and leveling? Access to eachothers factions starbases? Diplomatic relations and such. :D

News flash- not enough new people coming into this game to replace the vets that are leaving or are already gone. fleets going down like dominoes. dam shame. vet player base destroyed. every one says the devs don't listen to the community , they don't. and never have. only 1 way to stop it close your wallets stop the flow of money and I garauntee they will listen. if the money flow continues it will not so shut your wallets sto community and effect some changes this game is dead anyway when star citizen goes live as almost every pvper in this game already have bought their ship packages, so sad that sto ran the vets off. not much time left to fix this bs devs you better get on the stick clock is ticking not much time left hawk to listen to us. every day more and more people leave here. no hiding it

Thats just like every other game I have played they worry about getting new players to come in and they dont because one look at the forum complaints of how they treat vet players and dont listen to players when making new content makes them keep on walking. Before long the game is dead.

Let's see....The "war" is over, but we can't cross faction team......someone didn't think this through....

All vs All PVP? Really? Seems to me someone wanted an easy answer to actually balancing PVP....or at least changing it to something new that makes it worth while....buy a time ship buy a time ship buy a time ship!

Undine space STFs.....complete joke....so visually confusing it's ridiculous....and who really wants to spend an hour in anything in this game?

The Breach is totally hosed......cannon turret one shot a maxed out fleet Mogh from range 15? Really?

Oh yeah.....and never mind all the work/grinding/dilithium/energy credits/ time to get all the reps up for a complete nerf ....everyone knows what I mean.....

    Season nine? FAIL nuff said....

well for me I like S9 over all but there is one MAJOR issue that we all can agree on and that is the massive drop in FPS in game. some people might say well it has to do with your CPU or GPU but it's not, if Cryptic wants to keep there players playing they better fix this issue really soon.

So far what I have saw. I'm impressed, good job on this season. I will go over what I have experienced so far on the new additions.

    Tailor:
Very nice improvements. Allowing the use of kits, armor, and other gearing. I gave majority of my crew tool belts and other items to wear. So it they can pull out hand held equipment from their belts, etc. And not look like they have them arrive out of thin air. Now they look even more realistic! From a RP point of view, this is just awesome.

    Reps:
The grinds are better. My Fed Eng in the Dyson made use out of those marks. Instead of building up to get 5 badges just to turn in for Rep increases. So this made him get closer to the next tier. My KDF the same thing who is on the Romulan Rep. And my Romulan also on the Romulan Rep can access the gear/weapons. Without wasting resources to unlock them. By giving me direct access. All this was a great improvement as I get my Alts through them.

    Traits:
Love them easy to use and comes in handy. Some hate it cause they are not all there. But I didn't notice a difference.

    New lock box:
I got 2 new ships and 3 new ground weapons from the exchange. So I helped on that cause someone had to spend $ on the keys to unlock them.

    Reset of graphics:
I don't remember seeing this from the notes. However I saw like what on Earth happened. However it did give me something to play around with. As I used what settings it had from start up. From this I'm seeing all kinds of changes and new looks. The game looks a heck of a lot better than what I was first seeing. Now it makes me want a newer computer to really get some graphics. Since I'm running about a 6 year old computer.

And ya know what thats what 30-50 out of how many THOUSANDS who play the game? When you start talking people leaving in the thousands then PWE has an issue. Stop targeting me man. I'm merely pointing out we are mere blips on the rader.

When you get a big enough blip let me know or better yet let PWE know. Cuase guess what, it's simple economics. Who's more likely to spend money? A brand new player who doesn't really have all that much or a vet that basically has everything?

PWE is simply following the money. If you can't handle the simple cold truth door's that way ->

Sorry for being blunt but that's the honesty of the matter. Want to get PWE's attention gonna need a whole lot more than 50, or hell even 500 people. Get 5000+ then you might get PWE's attention.

You seem to be posting quite a bit in this thread.

    http://steamcharts.com/app/9900#6m

Saturday February 2nd the first Saturday after season 8.5 saw 4,384 peak players.
Saturday April 26th the first Saturday after season 9 saw 4,182 peak players.

Granted that is only steam but the idea even a half season would have more peak players than an entire new season release would bother me as a developer. I'm not going to compare to last year because of the apples to oranges season vs expansion problem. And I do think 8.5 launched on a Thursday instead of a Tuesday but you would think it wouldn't much matter for your weekend peak unless your new content is so bad it doesn't even retain players for five entire days.

Now don't get me wrong, many season 9 additions are top notch from the hourly rep project for random loot to the kit revamp. But the new missions and the reputation trait revamp are absolutely terrible.

Progression is important to the MMORPG genre for player retention. It is not an obvious thing that most can explicitly state they care about but it does matter. It increases player enjoyment and has created the mobile cow clicker market explosion when done to an abusive degree.

Secondly all this talk about 'thinking about traits' or 'now you can customize'. I get to think about my boff passive traits, my boff abilities, my ship boff/console layout, my ship base stats, my 10 console slots, 6-8 weapon slots, my skill points, etc etc etc. I have plenty of fiddly bits to play with the last thing STO needs is more of those. Nor will it do anything to close the gap between terribad player/ship build and top tier player/ship build. Nothing will until the formulas of the game are changed and a handful of things get beaten with the nerf bat.

The new missions lack any clearly defined escalation of tension they are simply poorly explained, badly designed, wave of enemy trials of perseverance especially for PuGs.

And really now that I think about it. Who thought it was a good idea to do a massive system revamp to appeal to the casual player and then turn around and create new content designed for premade groups who know what they are doing? Cause that is just, mind boggling.

*edit clarification: I do my best to be constructive with my feedback, but I also try to be honest. Take it as you will.

I don't mind S9 overall...EXCEPT for all the wonderful new bugs. Bugs to existing (and previously bugged/patched) content. Bugs to previously working content. It's a fine example of really really poor execution. There are numerous tribble testers who provided competent feedback and reports THAT WERE COMPLETELY IGNORED. If you offer content for testing in a dedicated testing enviroment, provide a method of reporting, but then ignore identified problems after that point, you really need to re-examine your approach.

I guess I am not too surprised though, exchange is basically unusable now. If they can create such a big problem on something so vital to the game, why would anyone think they could focus on, or fix anything of less significance. I'm starting to think branflakes saw the writing on the wall.

I was in Undine Assault earlier and on a respawn I spawned embedded in the middle space station and spent half the game trying to free myself with no success.

Love the additions to the tailor.

    Love the new Kit system

Bit annoyed at first at the new rep trait system, suddenly having less active rep traits when having worked so hard for them. But overall it haven't changed much. And I've gotten used to it fast.

Love you can freely switch around traits now.

Love the changes to the Rep system, doesn't feel like an endless gride anymore, to just get rep.

That said... my question is, when can we expect crossfaction stuff that should come with the peace agreement between the factions?
    Crossfaction teaming for missions...
Access to more of eachothers social zones... (Fleet Starbase, Vulcan, Andoria, etc...)

Kinda think this is missing. So far the peace thing seems to be in text only. No actual ingame advantages/rewards from it.

The only positive thing for me are new kits. It was a good idea. But the rest totaly killed it for me. I hardly even log in.
I mean who was that genius that came up with the idea to take half our reputation traits away? And you seriously think I will spend more time grinding the Undine one? Why the hell would I do that when I CAN NOT use those traits? And the explanation being to stop power creep. And then give players Undine ships and the new Escort outperforming any other ships in game. Yeah, it is not a power creep at all.
So congratulations, you managed to kill the game for me. I may log in from time to time, but I will not spend another cent in the game. Fortunately, War Thunder ground forces just came out.
