Undine Lockbox coming April 22nd

spacebaronlinespacebaronline Member Posts: 1,103 Arc User
Hirogen Box Ends on the 22nd(confirmed) - the s9 of the Undine begins - pretty safe to say we get our player controlled bio-ships on the 22nd of April :)

Technically it could still be something other than a Undine lock box - but I highly doubt it. I personally look forward to flying one of the ships - even if it makes no sense canon/story/logic-wise or not.

Hopefully, they add Undine Hybrid ships like they did Borg/Romulan Hybrid ships with the Tal Shiar Adapted ships instead of Undine ships. Although, it will be interesting to see what excuse they come up with for us to pilot living ships that are supposedly bonded with their Undine pilot.

How about "we want to make money" as an excuse?

Well I seriously hope not. Otherwise I hope we get open pvp regardless of faction so I can blow undine, the borgships(which will come if undine come), Cardassians, Hirogen, Jem'Hadar, Tal Shiar, infiltrators from another time/universe, and Voth out of the sky. I'll keep the Ferengi......for a price....

I agree, hybrid Undine ships would make sense while pure Undine vessels would be jump-the-shark worthy (though not the first time in STO's story).

I hope they see the light but it's probably too late now.
Delta Rising is the best expansion ever and the players love it! No, seriously! ...Why are you laughing so hard? :(

What are you suggesting? Certainly they would not introduce something to the Star trek world that most people would consider totally crazy and un-trek - oh I don't know like: fighting supersized Dino's with Frickin' lazers on their heads?? -Oh wait:eek:

I've been pooling my resources for the Sharknado lockbox that's due to come out after the undine lockbox with bio ships.
Comes equipped with 8 360 degree Kineticized Antiproton cutting beams that have perma FAW III, APA, APB, APO, APD, TTIII, Regens 20,000 shields/second, 20,000 hull/second, and launches mini sharknado ships with mini versions of all of the above. The Special bridge in the Sharknado ship is the whole Galaxy in a bubble. You also get free very rare doffs, and 5000000 zen when you hit the jackpot, and pull a sharknado ship out of the lockbox.

estimated odds are 1:8912343247581893776582917385. Void where prohibited. Possible side effects include: **** leakage, Chronic Migraine, Whiney General Chat, Green Bumps all over body, Uncontrollable E*******, Sweaty Pits, Acne, Heart Failure, Large Credit Card Bills.

We accept all forms of major credit card.

Interesting post tyranthraxisii - however - there are a few words(concepts) in the second paragraph that you might want to self edit due to this being a "family" friendly forum:eek: Just saying in advance - not that I have a problem with them - but one of the mods might.

Dinosaurs in Star Trek? Whoa, we should call the Gorn untrek too since they are dinos. While we're at it, let's call the Caitians, Ferasans and the Saurians all un-trek. Animals seem to be un-trek.

Wait, what about Vulcans? They are space elves, elves are from fantasy, not sci-fi, we should consider that un-trek too.

    This would be a strawman.

While I myself am not saying the existance of dinosaurs is something that would be qualified as un-trek, the manner in which they were shoehorned into STO is completely out of context and the reason behind their implementation is completely idiotic and un-trek.
    Hope this clarifies sth.

I am not referring to the "sentient" races or beings in Trek - but large controlled Dino's that fight as "attack dogs" are NOT something seen often or at all in Star Trek.

I thought Trek was all about the possibilities of encounters with all kinds of species. I guess they forgot to mention limited species judged by the fans.

    *Shrugs* Oh well.

Again, it's the context and implementation that is problematic here.

Voth lived on Earth, Voth took dinos, Voth turn dinos into attack pets like the Klingons turn their pigs into war animals.

I agree and I'll definitely find the STO forum community's reaction interesting whenever we get to fight Apollo and have Abraham Lincoln as a ground combat NPC.

Ok thread derail - we are all excited to get to fly our very own Undine Bio-ships!!!:P

It will be interesting to see what explaination is given for the Ferengi getting hold of them and non-undine being able to fly them:D

Yep, just hear the sound of jingling coins when they open their mouth XD! I always said lock box ships should be vendor by Section 31 and Klingon Intelligence. Makes far more sense than the Ferengi.

I'm sure I'm not the only one, but I actually enjoy not relying on Cryptic to hand feed me story. I like using my imagination to come up with it myself, especially when it comes to flying non-faction ships.

For example, I got a Hirogen ship, so I made a Hirogen looking crew, got the armor and the consoles and said, OK this character is a Hirogen who made it to our area of space courtesy of Sela, who, being Sela, betrayed him so now he sided with the Republic.

I have an all-Andorian crew flying a Kumari. I made up a uniform for them and said their part of a planetary defense force. Federation-aligned but not technically in Starfleet. I have a Romulan flying a Tal Shiar Battlecruiser. I imagine him as being secretly evil and living under a false identity.

I bring my imagination to the party. It's fun. Ya'll should try it sometime.
