The ability for Federation characters and KDF characters to team up on places like Defera, Nukara, and New Romulus. Defera Invasion Zone is the primary place that I'm thinking of (although I don't want to restrict it to that zone), but sometimes there just aren't enough players of the same faction on the map(s) to team up to do things like the hard missions on Defera or Epohh tagging on New Romulus. So why not be able to team up? They're doing the same things anyway.
Being able to store other currencies like Latinum and Dilithium in account banks.
And how about having more useful items to buy with Latinum. There are two mission where it's used (Second Wave and Rescue Deferi Captives). Otherwise the only thing to buy with it are Risian sunglasses, holoemitters, trophies, and that disco ball everyone enjoys.
Actually, I've thought of another thing that would pretty much top my wish list:
Auxiliary beam weapons for Sci ships. I'd LOVE this.
The Vesta's Aux cannons are great, and it's a crying shame that there is no beam variant that could be utilised by Sci ships in general.
This,1000000x this!
Gives the sci crowd a bit more variation in weapons choices and means sci powers won't be neglected in place of dps all the time.
Currently you're weapons and aux are fighting each other for energy, aux weapons seems the logical choice for sci ships that should be relying heavily on sci powers.
An actial expansive Delta Quadrent with exploration. A redo to how slipstream works (uses a charge similar to the new romulus plasma weapons secondary fire, and otherwise always on or toggleable until power has run out.), Destroyers and Escorts get their special ability. Finally integrate the cloaking console for feds into a fed battlecloak and fed phase cloak (before the argument starts, they did have them!), unnerf science abilities so they can be viable again, more hybred type weapons (consider Chroniton AP like the timeships one), Customizable interiors or a choice of different types of interiors (including more decks then just 3), More hair options (current selection is very limited look at other online games for inspiration), Integration of more subsystems and devices so a ship can truely be customizable. Removal of the z axis restriction (Make the ship roll to reorient if you dont want people flying upside down, but I must point out the enterprise in nemesis and insurection clearly shows that they do use manuvers to roll the ship.), should try to find a way to fly from bridge view for those who like that iconic feel of command from the bridge, Possible permotion to Admiral, Finally give us the iconians we have waited for for 3 years, More Featured Episodes with cool new toys, A few new space sets and ground sets not reputation bound, and a partrage in a pear tree!
Me and my riend have talked about this stuff for 3 years now and know sto is capable of bringing them into the game. I think the first step would be to redo sector space, making each quadrent its own gigantic space map with transwarp hubs and streams people could fly in to traverse sector space. truely have it feel like traveling across the galaxy at warp speeds. this with added delta quadrent would create a feel i think many are looking for in a space game and as a star trek gamer.
I wish for actual, meaty content with some challenge, that isn't connected at the hip with yet another cheap grind to get us playing a simple event or mission over and over and over and over and over.

More playable races... fine. (Zakdorn, Deltans, Denobulans for FED etc)
However, you really have to describe to me how more classes or even MORE playble factions could possibly improve the game. More does NOT equal better. A fourth (mini-/pseudo) playable faction would not only be pointless, but potentially even harmful for the game (and an absolute waste of massive resources). And what yould the possible porpuse of a fourth class be? What could it possibly make attractive, balanced, sensible and "trekky"?
I forgot one thing to add to my list in the OP - I would like costumes and transporter effects to be tied to the crew and ship respectively instead of the character race. Diplomacy/Marauding BOFFs and the Romulan faction's BOFFs as a whole suffer greatly from this.

I'm not claiming it would improve the game, I'm just posting what I would enjoy. This is a wishlist thread, not a "what would improve the game objectively" thread.

1.) Unique weapons for the remaining "big gun" ships (Bortasqu', Galaxy-X, etc). Similar to how the Andorian Escorts have Wing Cannons, Defiant has Quad Cannons, Regent has the 180 Q-Torp, the Elachi and Hirogen ships have the Single Heavy Cannons, etc.
2.) More 2409 skins and models for ships. (Patrol Escort, MVAE, Star Cruiser, Cheyenne).
3.) More focus on established storylines/enemies for PvE content. Devidian ground-STFs, anyone? How about fighting off a True Way attack?
4.) More battlezones for fighting different enemy factions. Different locations, as well, rather than just in a Dyson Sphere.
5.) Those two sidebars in the tailor displaying preset features and hair styles be removable.
6.) Enemies that do constant pressure damage, rather than insane spike damage that no one can hope to survive. At least to lessen the fact that one needs to kill an enemy before they fire.
7.) NPCs to act more similarly to players, using more varied abilities, weapons, movement, etc. Right now they're little more than bags of hitpoints sitting there.
8.) Some older ship models be given some love. The Ambassador and Avenger look nifty, so why is it that the phaser-strips on the Galaxy are still extremely low-poly and generally poor quality?
9.) Romulan Republic-styled model for the Dreadnought Warbirds, borrowing design cues from the Ha'apax and T'varo. Rather than the blocky, flat appearance we have now.
10.) Some better scaling on the part of Scimitar, I still can't figure out why it's gigantic compared to the canon-version. Does nothing but cause "shove everyone to the top of the map" sessions from which everyone comes out of feeling violated.
What are your STO content wishes? Do you want less bugs? Or do you want to finally have that tier 5 Connie? List what content you've been wanting for Star Trek Online, plausible or not.
My list is organized into a cliche top 10 list. I want:
10-more playable races and classes
9-hairstyles to not be sex-restricted
8-more ship types of minor species like Lethean ships and Rigelian ships
7-a playable Cardassian faction
6-more special additions like secondary deflectors, flanking, and comm array commands added to other ship types(Raptors, Destroyers, etc)
5-the space combat Z-axis restriction removed for full-3D space combat with dorsal and ventral shield additions
4-the expansion of non-combat gameplay such as diplomacy and crafting
3-Tovan Khev to be optional
2-additional BOFF abilities and console types, specifically to balance the slot value
1-additional BOFF outfit slots
I would put number 4) as first!
The top things I would like to see implemented are the revamping-expansion of exploration and all non-combat related gameplay, anything that could give a bit of a break to the pew pew, which in my humble opinion is not ultimately what Star Trek is about, would be AWSOME.
Let me be more specific. When I say exploration and non-combat I mean serious stuff, not the fun holiday events. Don't get me wrong they are awsome, but I'm referring to meaningful things, like scientific mysteries and dangers... E.g. the exploration of New Romulus was a very good start... if only a start.
No preferences for all the rest
Also... Don't know if anyone mentioned it already here, but I really would like a major improvement to the AUDIO of the game.
Meaning, new music tracks, background music, variants to the combat music etc.
Maybe also sound effects, but more importantly soundtrack, music.
I would put that as number 2) after Exploration/non-combat.
Btw, there would be interesting stuff to do non-combat oriented also for the KDF, I'm sure. Maybe I would call it "non-war" instead of non-combat. For instance, I would like to see a friendly Bat'leth or unharmed competition... or something bard-related like putting pieces of an epic tale together and crafting a lost legend... or what about survival camp: random missions of exploration could have "first contact" flavour for FED, "espionage" for ROM and "survival-fauna confronting-resource gathering" flavour for KDF!
What the heck, If I stayed here a day I could build up a list as long as a Ferengi's greed.
I could throw my weight behind doing something about the audio. I think of Star Trek, I think of the orchestral scores of the series openings, the 'Stealing The Enterprise' theme from STIII, the 'Mutara Nebula Battle' score from WoK (a personal favorite.)... The current synthesiser-electronic sounding music that STO has just doesn't compare.
...Someone mentioned a proper "Voyager"-style Intrepid bridge... why not a whole Voyager interior to go with it? Make the crew lounge look like the Mess Hall, replace the generic Science Lab with Seven's Astrometrics Lab...
While on the subject of interiors, would anyone say 'No' to having an actual Shuttlebay to transition to our small craft from instead of a transporter room?
Personally, I like my trophies. I'd like them even better if trophies were added for the ships and Ground enemy accolades that didn't have them for wall trophies - and maybe some new floor trophies while we're at it. Especially since they've removed "State of Q" which means that unless you've already got it, you can't get the Q's Throne floor trophy anymore...
"If you can't take a little bloody nose, maybe you ought to go back home and crawl under your bed. It's not safe out here. It's wondrous, with treasures to satiate desires both subtle and gross; but it's not for the timid." -- Q, TNG: "Q-Who?"
^Words that every player should keep in mind, especially whenever there's a problem with the game...
More non-combat content like exploration, diplomacy.
Useful crafting, best would be option where you can custom own items (what [bonus] they have, how they look etc.)
More meaning to be and work in Fleet, not only for gear.
More missions which would be difficulty, but not because enemies with xx millions of HP, rather because they demand from players teamwork. (All most not to do with classic STO pug)
More faction specific ships with alien tech (Deyson destroyers) rather then alien ships (Galor, D'kor, etc.)
More customization options both for character and ship (most likely this)
Elite Fleet versions for other weapon types, not only phasers and disruptors.
LoR with its Reman-specific dialogue was a good start, Season 8 and 8.5 kept it going...
More species-based interaction options.
A number of the 'New Romulans' are Reunificationists - D'Tan included - it'd make sense for them to react to a Vulcan Starfleet officer different than they might to a human...
Or maybe have the Klingons throw a few choice insults at a Klingon 'traitor' who is a Starfleet officer instead of a KDF warrior...
And I know there's been people wanting the Bajorans in "Of Bajor" - and with them, the Cardassians you encounter during the Cardassian Struggle arc and the 2800 FE series (and maybe Antos and Surjan from that one diplomacy mission) - to stop treating their Bajoran characters like any other Starfleet officer.
And it's not a Federation-only idea, either - how about having Orions react to Orion characters or Gorn react to Gorn characters differently than they would to Klingon characters? (I'm thinking Hassan The Undying here, for one.)

I agree, and I'm a big advocate of utilizing non-combat as alternative 'leveling' to combat in any MMO.

That would be awesome. But it's a HUUUGE load of work, I'm afraid if we are ever gonna see this level of quality of life improvement (and others with regard to immersion in general that can come to mind), it's going to happen gradually and along a much higher general growth of the game itself. This is because STO is an mmorpg obviously, hence a growing and huge game with respect to a normal single player game, the number of lines of dialogues, npcs and npcs interactions is enormous, plus is growing steadily!
No reason not to dream about it though
Oh i just wanted to get more attention to the 360° Thread again.
Don't see the necessity to split them of from the three classes. In Space i have no idea what this should look like, and on Ground it is all a matter of Kit Decision (now) and the Skilltree Skilling. Not sure what this will be like after Kit Revamp.
At this point another wish that will never come true:
The possiblity to get Ground and Space Skillpoints to a Max on one toon!
the ? is new really needed I say make a way to make the old new by making a way to add new weapon slots to old ships device slots, console slot then the coolest of the low grade ships can be used fulley.:D
borg lock box containing a borg diamond ship
locutus ground armor set
borg arm weapons that actually replace the arms with borg technology
more borg customizations
ah what the hell anything borg related will suffice.

Or at least update the descriptions of the 'Borg Arm Weapons' to let us know that they don't really replace a BOff's arm.
...Yeah, I was disappointed when I equipped a Sci BOff with a Borg Prostethetic Arm Weapon and it turned out to be just another 'minigun' style carried weapon instead of actually replacing the arm...
And someone mentioned unlocking the 7 of 9 hand and head attachments for both genders and for the KDF (like the Feds can get the eyepatch from the Klingon Academy costume), that too would be nice...

Only as a Stand-Alone Faction. Not that Romulan Pseudo-Faction type.
Several times discussed in this thread.
Both failed at the first attempt.
I was envisioning Security, Operations, and Medical splitting off from Tactical, Engineering, and Operations. It's the most plausible IMO.
Agreed. And definitely not with a Cardassian Tovan Khev!
I'm not sure what your point is. I'd guess that most, if not all my wishes were discussed in previous threads.
Yes, it was terrible. =(
