Dude get real. 8k is a few STF's Foundry Daily, Defera Daily, Exploration daily, if you have preferred mining claims you can do the astroid and you Dil mine daily. Then do your 3 PVP battles. So you are looking at 2 or more hours of play to do all of that each day. If you can get 8k in 30 min please share.

One elite STF then voth battlezone. It's not exactly 30 minutes but it's definitely under an hour if you're reasonably good at ground combat. Killing kill all three dinos may be fast or it may take a little longer depending on how fast your instance is capping or if you can find one about to pop, but all three give over 4k alone (480 x3 for each dino plus 3k bonus for killing all three, only 1.6k if you only kill two and 700 or so if just one). That's not including the dailies.

Sometimes you kill all three dinos but only get credit for two which sucks but you can survive the loss of 1.5k or so.

I'd say 30 minutes is a best case scenario. I've done it with four characters in about an hour and half, due to dino popping being a little unpredictable. Sometimes you just gotta keep checking instances because none are ready to pop and the available ones aren't that active.

That's perfectly fine if this game and all of us, if we are going to be around for the next few decades to a century.

Well they did sell "lifetime" subs.

    ;)

I don't know, I mean I just don't see much point in stressing out about something they're not likely to change. They seem quite fine with dilithium refining and dilithium requirements for fleet projects as is.

Yeah, it's an interminable grind. That's how they designed it.

Yeah by the time my fleet ever hits tier 5 anything, I'll be looking like that captain in your avatar photo, old and grey. :P

People buy zen with real cash money $$$$.

Zen can be exchanged for dilithium.

Dilithium is used everywhere in game, especially heavily in fleet projects.

    Cryptic/PWE want all da cash.

Therefore dilithium is 1:1 in fleet projects.

Because it's a sink, is why. It's second closest currency they have (next to Zen) that represents a RL money value; and they want it. Simple as that.

I hate to say it, but it really should be left the way it is. Not for the reasons the Cryptic Apologists Command Force have said, but because it would devalue our dil on the zen exchange.

If the fleet credits exchanged was more in line in with what that dil is worth compared to what it can buy everywhere else in the game then everyone would be filling those projects. But because the mark pay out is so poor relative to the value of that dil, the best way to fill those holdings is for the fleet masters to buy staggering amounts of zen to convert to dil to fill those projects themselves. That gives dil on the exchange value which in turn reduces the amount of dil you give up per zen when saving towards things on the C Store. It's good for Cryptic because it makes them money. It's good for us because it keeps the servers afloat and makes our dil valuable when saving for C Store purchases. and it's good for fleet leaders because it's impossible to advance their fleet otherwise. You just have to find a fleet with leaders that have big pockets.

at least a few people see it for what it!

my experience leaves me with the impression that cryptic have engineered the fleets in such a way that one person can supply all the dil, then have almost enough fleet credit to fill all the doffs. i dont think this is coincidence.
cryptic dont really want the entire fleet donating dil they grind for free. they want fleet owners to convert zen to dil and get minimal fleet credit in return, and thats that. it also explains why they insist on making doff donations such a chore and price them the way they do.
