Ships already vanish without animation when you beam down or use that straight-to-loading-screen transwarp, don't they?
How would there be a problem? The server does not need to enforce a universal present/now with such precision in this case.
Clients which are loaded into the map prior to your leaving can render the warp-out animation, since they have all the necessary data about the ship. It's ignoring collision already, isn't it? And clients which load into the map after you triggered your map-transition would not receive any info on your ship, thus not even begin to render it.
Agree in the whole text.
Not to mention, some maps will take a lot of time to load sometimes with no reason, with or without the warp animation. And sometimes they will just load in seconds.. since cryptic will never throw a light about this issue, we can assume that the "load" warp animation has absolutely nothing to do with load times.
And yes, you can see a lot of ships just vanishing in a lot of places, or going into warp "instantly" using the transwarp shortcut..
I mean, is ok that as an iconic animation it should be present when you warp out of a system or when you warp in.. but only in those cases. It makes no sense in all the other situations.
Well, could Captain Picard disable warp animations? Of course not, because the warp drive doesn't work without them
Believe it or not picard did not have an out of body experience where he was ripped into a god's eye view of his ship's exterior every time they punched the gas. The *show* may have had these cutscenes, but TV is passive and the user is never in control of it. Games are interactive, and being ripped from view to view is jarring and not appropriate.

Captain Picard didn't have half a dozen contraband mules to go out marauding on. :P
