if you want to play a star ship simulator go play star trek bridge commander
as that is a star ship only game

this game has ground and space, so you are only playing 50% of the game and not playing it to its full potential and i feel sorry for all you spacers that do that, im a ground pvper and i play space, and yes, i have fun because i play 100% of the game unlike you spacers that only do space

I agree with you completly.Main problem is that most players who think that ground is complete TRIBBLE never even tryed it so atlest you should give it a chance sometimes.I remember my first experience with ground pvp when i got my maco 3 pc set,got in arena and thought i will kick TRIBBLE easily but instead i got stomped 10-15 time.didnt tryed ground few months after that but i give it a chance later and its now one of most fun parts of game for me.

I always hated hated hated hated hatred hated (can't say hated often enough) the pure concept of ground toons/space toons.
Sorry, this game has both and all characters should be able to do both without sacrificing efficiency in one area in favor of the other.

That means (IMO) there should be ground and space skill points, no splitting. Same for ground and space traits..

    Yeah, that.

Maybe with that expansion 2 that Rivera talked about where they gut the skill system and start fresh which Virusdancer occasionally talks about will come to pass.

    But yeah, definitely that.
If you feel Keel'el's effect is well designed, please, for your own safety, be very careful around shallow pools of water.

    Maths R hard, dudes. It's 34K down. Not 44K. 100K - 66K = 34K.

Yeah yeah yeah, it was a typo. The world is coming to an end. -Cue dramatic music-

I think its a given its coming.

I say this because Cryptic is always changing systems instead of delivering content. So yes, I expect a full Season or Xpac will be built around changing the skill system, and any balance or improvement achieved will be ruined by them having to sell something incredibly OP to make it profitable. Ending up in a near or worse situation to the one we are currently in.

It's not a question of need, it's one of desire. Actually, if you think about it hard, nothing is really needed in this game, at all. Each of my toons carry different type of kits for their career. And it comes a time when I feel like playing with a different one to change things up but I notice it doesn't have the skill tree for it. This is the point. You're either faced with the choice of leveling 10 or so toon that specializes in each kit for one one career... or to purchase a skill respec every time you're in the mood for something new. I don't have the time, the money or the energy to waste on such a frivolous desire. Ultimately, the problem is skill points.

Ground shouldn't even try to compete with space. It never had a chance to begin with simply because of the IP. Star Trek, voyage in the stars... Starships!!! What do you think really attracts players to this game?

I agree but I think this is carryover from the old skill tree and there is still some there. You have to spec into certain ground skills so you can train certain space skills, I think TT, EPtS and couple of others are like that.
Hey I Used to be Captain Data, well I guess I still am in game but the account link really screwed everything up
