    first time thats happened, when other people get issues i never have them with the game until now. will probably have to delete that hogg file.

    edit: deleted it and its completely frozen up before the patching process.

    edit: running force verify before patch.

    edit: force verify has gotten to the deleted file and frozen up. restoring old file and trying force verify again.

    edit: force verify was off by default before i could get to it however it uploaded the rest of the content within a few seconds but ran force verify anyway and breezed through it. think the devs should keep an eye on that one, could prove to be something they would have to sort.

    not good, just ran through new esd and saw an open doorway near lessa's location, thought it was just a missing texture, ran through it and landed on objects underneath, now under the map. may need to run that force verify again.

    edit: it turns out it wasnt me that found it either, saw someone else found it as well.

    I was also having trouble patching tribble last night, although I did turn force verify on and on-demand patching off to see if that helps at all.

    Seems like the Klingon weapon I believe its the south one is bugged it won't count towards completing the collect all 4 in that klingon section closest to the spawn area.

    i can take some screenshots outside where i should be, however i found my way into the shuttlebay despite the walls blocking my progress. so yeah after a little exploring out, not gonna push it further. as fun as it was. also the bank console is now in space above its location, completely inaccessible on the new esd. yeah, really needs to go back into testing before tribble.

    The Undine are going to look at those new Dyson destroyers then at the tech on the Sphere and realise they're the same (sorta) They'll jump to the conclusion we're working for the Iconians.... ahhh... Save the woman and precious metals!!!!

    yeah I cant get it to patch, tried everything that others have suggested, just aint workin. Even the window has become unresponsive. Oh well, will have patience til they fix it.

    No issues with patching on my end ( feel sorry for everyone thats havin problems ) just one thing I found, the drozana test console still isn't giving the option to acquire the new kits, please hook them back up. Oh tried the new undine battle zone well.... me an another ship kicked TRIBBLE ( poor undine ).

    Known Issues:
    • Players can shoot at each other on new ESD.

    This actually sounds kinda cool--are you sure this is an "issue"? I think it'd be better as a feature.

    But then--you'd have to call out security and arrest half the players in STO. :P

    I was having issues patching tribble earlier.

    Tracked it down to the shaderCache.hogg file.

    Tweeted to Brandon about it and he informed me the file in question is pretty big so may take a while to patch.

    To check if you're having the same issue;
    1. With launcher open and patching, press Ctrl+X to open the tranfers window.
    2. If it has frozen/slowed to a crawl like mine had, there should be one entry listed in the tranfers window "platformbin/pc/shaderbin/shaderCache.hogg".
    3. Sit and wait for it to patch the file, or go to \Playtest\cache within your STO folder and delete shaderCache.hogg, forcing it to redownload the file from scratch.
    Well I deleted the contents of the cache, ran the launcher with forced verify turned on and on demand patching turned off used CTRL+X to watch the patch process and sat back for a really long show and after a long drawn out process it made it to 92% completed until it hit platformbin/pc/shaderbin/shaderCache.hogg then just stopped dead, the launcher had in fact locked up, with so many people having a problem patching I find it hard to believe the problem is on my end. I don't know at this point if I should drop a copy of my main game install into the the playtest folder and try to patch again or just wait for the next tribble patch.
    Edit: In the end what I had to do was drop a copy of my game install into the playtest folder and repatch, there was clearly something corrupted in my existing tribble install that was preventing the patch from completing.
    If something is not broken, don't fix it, if it is broken, don't leave it broken.
    Oh Hell NO to ARC

    Sorry about the lack of doors. This build must have been taken at just the wrong moment, when I was moving the doors from one file to another. I've verified this morning that all doors are present again.

    Yes, the Bank Console is floating above the station until we get our new Bank Console hooked up, then it will be spread around, along with Mail.

    The Exchange consoles have already been grounded.

    The launcher hangs when trying to patch Tribble for me (at 219MB). Have tried Force Verify a couple of times too.

    By the way, great job on the new ESD.
    I couldn't help but make the Goofy holler when I rushed into a room, noticing too late the floor was missing. :D

    Open launcher(dont login),go Option mark Force Verify,login,when it shows Server Option klick fast on Tribble,let it Verify then it Patch, login and play:D

    OK, no matter what I try on my Fed, the ship tailor hates my guts and crashes the game. However, my Klingon seems unaffected and can use the ship tailor (at least, with the Obelisk Carrier)

    And from what I saw of the UI before the game crashes, the whole "can't choose colors until I click on randomize" bug is STILL not fixed since the 2 color squares are still showing in black.

    Here's what I tried, without success:
    -turning off and on the "raise settings in character creator"
    -switching ships (went from the D'Kyr to the bugship, then back to the D'Kyr)
    -going to a tailor in another zone (tried ESD, then the Allied Zone in the Dyson Sphere)
    -messing with graphic options
    -verifying the files
    -setting the render quality and graphical detail to low
    -setting to DirectX 11 or 9
    -copying the character to the server again
    -switching to another Fed character of different species (Caitian from Joined Trill) and different career (science to engineering)

    TACO and or CRYPTICFROST

    There is a large group of people that cannot seem to patch this specific Update to Tribble,

    We have Started a Bug thread which has already made it to 4 Pages of people with this Problem.

    Can you pass it on to whoever to needs to go to, so that it is looked at. Most of the people who are having this problem have never had a problem with Tribble Before.

    We have 2 or 3 Workarounds available in the Bug thread.

    the problem is some work for some people and not for others so it's hit or miss.

    I was playing maybe 2-3 hours ago, doors still missing (in between the tailor, and the warehouse with runabouts you can see) and the exchange console was up in the air (I had to jump and hit F to get it to register)

    Also, on the undine battlezone, at least one occasion the klingon weapon wouldn't register one of the things being on, so was stuck on 3/4.

    Um, he's talking about the current build they are now working on that has yet to be pushed to Tribble.

    No matter what I do with my video settings, I still can't get it to look as good as what I get on holodeck.

    Tells me that my type video card most not be supported in this new change for some reason.

    I sure hope that the "Club 47" remake on ESD is still part of the work in progress? It looks like a lackluster lounge in it's current state right now on Tribble.

    A number of the ships in the shipyard have a zen cost of "-". Including the Atrox and the Andorian ships. There were around a dozen or so that have a price of "-". Clicking on the greyed out "Buy Ship" button results in a blank "Confirm Purchase" window. Clicking on the "Buy Ship" button for a ship that has a Zen price listed results in a window with the ship and the cost at the bottom.

    Seems some of the ships are having a problem. Also affects the Yellowstone and Stalker Stealth Fighter from small crafts.

    That is just a lounge. Taco said that Club 47 probably will not make it into the current version, but will be added at a later date. The post is somewhere in the 27 pages of the patch notes that the new ESD was added.

    Finally got the patch to work by force verifying. Still seemed to lock up a few times during the process but I just let it sit for a couple minutes and it manged to finish.

    One quick question for TacoFangs though: why did you delete the row of seats in the kinda "waiting room" area of sickbay? I thought they were a nice touch.

    i am not taco so by a guess i think taco means in the next patch, that he or she just sorted the issues out for then. just waiting to be set free when the scheduled time comes. give it tomorrow or a few days when ever the next one comes, when it does coldsnapped will get the next patch notes up.
