Puple Boffs in Mail

Hi, this is an odd one that I've never seen before, don't know if it's a bug or working as intended.

Had some purple Gorn in the mail from way back, about a year or 2. So when I retrieved them for an all Gorn crew they then turned "blue" (rare).

So does anyone else know if this happens a lot? And should it have happened in the first place?

    It is a old bug.They actually are the same purple boff but the UI display's them in blue

    I had the same thing with some efficient letheans around a year ago and it seems it wasn't fixed yet
