Recommend a Fed ship for me!

I drive an Odyssey Operations Cruiser, mainly because its big and it looks good. Now I want something more maneuverable and packs a punch. Here are the kickers:

I'm a Engineer.
No Avenger-saving it for my tac toon.
No Excelsior- its hideous to me.

anything else, please feel free to mention as long as its fun. Oh, and I don't care if its a Lobi, Fleet, or C-store ship either.

    If you still want a cruiser I'd say Ambassador class. She is not the highest DPS ship, but has some sweet science tricks up her nacelles and looks gorgeous.


    If you don't mind an escort I recommend the T5/fleet Akira/Thunderbird attack carrier.

    It's classed as an escort but I think of it more like a light cruiser or destroyer.

    Third choice would be the Chimera Destroyer if you have access to that.

    Jem'Hadar Attack Ship.
    Fleet Advanced Escort.
    Fleet Patrol Escort.

    If you have your heart set on a cruiser...Mirror Universe is okay...
    +1 for the Ambassador Refit. Beautiful ship.

    Fleet Ambassador - Tanky with nice science options
    Fleet Assault Cruiser - a pure engineering ship with some nice tactical options and a good turn rate
    Fleet Galaxy - i Enterprise D were still around still would be it
    Tal Shiar adapted Battle cruiser - flexible and scary looking

    Get the normal Avenger, that way you'll only need one fleet token for the fleet version and its account unlocked for you.

    Fleet Ambassador - Simply the most balanced cruiser in the game, after the Kamarag.
    Cat City ***** aka Astrox aka Cat City ***** -Slow but.. has best pets in the game, IMO!
    Galor - COOL SHIP!
    Bastion - Has pets too!

    Those are few quite nice ships I love to use.

    Oberth is fun indeed. If you want to boast then finish Elite STF's in an Oberth without a single death.
    This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

    Get a tac Vesta Class like me! I'm a Joined Trill Engineer and the tac Vesta is pretty close to a cruiser, minus the hull. But you can mount cannons on it, CMD sci BOFF seat & Lt. Cmd. Uni with Lt. Uni seats, and as an engineer you help make it tanky.

    Either the Fleet Assault cruiser if you have access to it or a fleet avenger, the lt uni boff slot can be turned into an extra engineering slot

      Regent Class, soverign refit, I love it and it comes with the wide angle quantum launcher, I love the ship, the metryon gas console isnt too bad either, but it can only be used on this ship which is a shame.

      In that case get the Elachi Monbosh off of the exchange for about 100 mil EC... 4 TAC consoles 4 ENG consoles 1.2 shield mod and 10 turnrate. IMO the best cruiser in game after the fleet assault cruiser.

      And It looks SOOOOO Badass!!!

      Fleet Assualt/ Regent
      Jellico....Engineer ground.....Da'val Romulan space Sci
      Saphire.. Science ground......Ko'el Romulan space Tac
      Leva........Tactical ground.....Koj Romulan space Eng

      Get a Mirror Universe ship. Sure, they are basic T5 ships but most are dirt cheap on the Exchange. You can buy 1 or 2 and get your need for different ship flying fix.
      Sometimes I think I play STO just to have something to complain about on the forums.

      Excelsior is a great ship I won't fly anything else. You don't know what you are missing.

      If you want something fast and agile instead of slow and, uh, slow, try the MU Advanced Escort. It looks decent with a tac/science-oriented BoFF setup, and beamscorts are awesome fun to fly. It's my go-to ship when I need an endgame level escort. Or, if you've got 4FSM and desire a fleet ship.. Fleet Patrol Escort. It adds another console and has an Ens uni BoFF station.

      I'd recommend the Regent then, aka assault crusier refit. Damn good ship. Using it in elite STFs, damn good ship, loving the wide angle quantum torp.

      I normally fly a Galaxy-R, last night had my first chance at the Ambassador and was like HOT DAMN !! No wonder people like the Excelsior so much.

      The simple ability to turn around when you want to makes a big difference.
