Why has no one guessed that the Gal-X is getting the saucer sep ability yet? Y'all were screaming for it before.
I think this, especially since screenshots of the X separating have been posted around 2012 already - it seems a reasonable period of time for Cryptic to get it working Although making the dreadnaught separatable is a dread-ful idea. The point of that "lance" is that the ship is no longer able to separate. Then again, STO and Cryptic make up their own lore as they go, so...

But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.
I know - I just wish that they'd given us something a little more solid, rather than dropping hints AGAIN, resulting in speculation and, in some cases, bickering again.

Go to a new end level instance of Nimbus III, battle the Elachi, Tal shair and merciless Pirates as the Federation, Klingon Empire and Romulan Republic try to restore order.
Grind through a new reputation which will reward the Nimbus Marauder equipment.
I think it would have to be galaxy-x if anything. with all the teasing of the galaxy-x lately I doubt it could be anything bigger than that.
in fact after reading facebook looks even more likely after seeing some of the comments I hope galaxy-x guys are going to be happy later. it is long over due!

Very unlikely the the new Galaxy-X would be a mirror version.
A: Mirror ships have only ever dropped as a lock-box prize
B: Aside from slight changes to the BOFF and console layout it wouldn't be significantly different to the existing one
C: It probably wouldn't sell as well as a 'new and improved' C-store or fleet version.
They've never done a mirror version of a C-Store ship.

Making the Galaxy X into a Dreadnought carrier would end the cries for a federation carrier, and besides, the Galaxy X is certainly a good fit, unless they want to use that four nacelled space barn...
The Typhoon might do as a carrier, but I'm not holding my breath that we will ever see the Typhoon as a playable ship, wich is sad, since I have allways liked that ship since the first time I saw it in game.

Plus we need to assume that the X is more of a combat ship, thus that huge saucer is not full of 1,000 families riding around the galaxy for the fun of it. That means far more space to hold a lot of other "stuff."
It will be interesting to see if it does get the 1 Hanger Geko talked about as a possibility.

It's my understanding that we got the cat carrier because CBS said no to a Starfleet full carrier, so the only way Cryptic could bring Fed players a carrier was by digging up an alien one as the Atrox.
