Bonus Marks Weekend Event [Now Ended]

We are currently running a special weekend event where you can earn bonus Marks by playing content throughout the game! This event runs until Monday, February 24, 2014 at 10AM PST.

During the event, content that provides Marks (Fleet or Reputation) will reward a 50% (1.5x) bonus above normal amounts – this bonus is available for all content that rewards Marks.

We hope you enjoy this special event and we'll see you in-game!

    Cool, although I was hoping some if not all the fleet ones would be double. They are such a slog, especially now people are getting to higher levels in multiple holdings.

    The reps are pretty easy but it's the fleet where it could use extra help.

    Will this bonus apply to unopened Fast & Flurrious mark boxes earned from the winter eppohs?

    EDIT: For those wondering the bonus does apply to these eppoh boxes.

    Damn... I'll be working Thursday and Friday and I'll be in Texas over the weekend.

    Too bad, I've been meaning to get my Klingon some of those Honor Guard armor sets.

    the extra 50% should be helpful when dealing with the dyson 3 piece set, torp, console and experimental proton weapon and surplus marks for the harder to get romulan and nukara marks, it would also help with stf's, stockpiling 2.5k+ omega marks for t5 adapted kits for boffs so they can be half useful, more then they currently are atm.

    This is such a joke.

    What happened to better rewards by taking away the hourly events?

    You think a weekend of double marks once a month is better than three to nine hours a day every day at about the same rate?

    I don't think so. I remember doing Crystalline Catastrophe during a bonus marks event, and opening the box well after the event was over, and still got the bonus. I think that it's based on when you got the item, not when it's opened. (Would be nice to be wrong, though.)

    I 100% agree, this is a total slap in the face to the players. We go from getting each bonus event every couple hours to one event every OTHER weekend. Obviously Cryptic felt like people were progressing too fast in the game and therefore Nerf everyone, but why not just be up front and honest about it? The weekend events are not only providing too small of bonuses but they also force people to play on the weekends. Not everyone works Mon-Fri, 9-5 ya know.

    i do wish that smirk would put time translations on events/server downtime/patches to come. i have no problem knowing it starts and ends at 6pm where i am but to others though who just want to quick check info and only see 10am PST, it could be confusing and having to look it up.

    Realizing it's a bit late, but for future bonus marks weekend events, it would be nice to reduce the cooldown on the daily (20 hour) events.

    Before, we could get, as an example, 75 (instead of 60) Romulan Marks for Tau Dewa patrol, once every 20 hours, if you timed it right, you could always turn it in during a bonus marks event.

    Now, we can get 90 marks 4 times (5, if you have the mission queued up ahead of time) for a total of 360 which is nice, but over the course of a month (or two to three months) of daily events, we could get a bonus of 15 per day (450 per month), now we're getting a bonus of 150 per month (at best).

    The ultimate result is that by replacing the daily bonus mark event with a bi-monthly weekend, but not changing the mission cooldowns, we're really getting a mark nerf on some of the hardest marks to get (Romulan).

    Although I am disappointed that it is not double, or at least double for ground, I don't think it was 50% ~ I don't have the hard numbers though.

    One thing I am curious about was running the defera daily hard missions for fleet marks. I know during the bonus hours the Omega marks got a bonus but I don't think the fleet marks did. I plan to run that a lot on many toons this weekend and want to make sure the defera hards get 50% bonus to fleet marks. It was around 240 for the 4 hards.

    Someone listed the numbers above that show it was not 50% ~ 60 romulan marks for the tau sector Patrol normally or 75 during bonus time which is only a 25% increase.

    50℅ extra is better than nothing so be thankful for that. But just for clarification would the bonus also apply to the commendation reports. I know that the original post stated "All" but I don't want to assume anythung .

    When we were told these monthly events would make up for the loss of our hourly event system, I really hoped it'd be at least 100% bonus for marks... This is a total kick in the teeth. With the old system we could get far more in a week than we will all month with the new system.

    Bring back the hourly system, have these weekends as an addition not a replacement.

    True alters don't have a "main". Account wide unlocks for all unique event rewards!!

    I left this game a couple of weeks ago due to how grindy and lame the game had become, especially with all the $$$ grabs (9 PACK DYSON, I mean really??). World of Tanks is really fun and now there is next to no chance of bringing me and many other players back to spend £$£. You screwed up the Anniversary event (Lots of people come back for that) and now you screwed up this. This is not ST anymore it's all about dinosaurs and escorts. Goodbye, this boat set sail a long time ago :(

    When the hourly events were removed it was done at the promise of weekend events that would yield more benefit in exchange. The dill event certainly lived up to that promise. The bonus mark event on the other hand doesn't. It doesn't motivate me to log in at all.

    Wow, the entitlement is strong with this one. Then again, the entitlement's been strong since January.

    For the uninitiated, this is a slight improvement over the old Bonus Marks event. The old Bonus Marks event was 25% extra marks in a span of three hours, done at most 4 times a day. This meant that there was a chance you'd miss this because when it happened was varied.

    While the current Bonus Marks event is MUCH shorter, it's much more plentiful.

    Dear Entitlement-Card: Can it.

    Dear Cryptic: Will the Eppohs I've been sitting on turn in for 600 instead of the normal 400, or are they too tied to when I got them? If the latter, the biggest source of Romulan marks (since you've not seen fit to offer rewards on par with every other rep system, nor Elites) will not see a feasible boost from this "event".

    PS--Weekends are nice, but the week-and-a-half between them has turned into a ghost town. Bring back hourlies when the Weekend Events aren't up and running.

    I don't like having to wait months for a small bonus to Fleet Marks, when the Hourly gave far more in the same period of time.

    This is good, I will be on doing some Rep runs this weekend. Since I usually play on weekend only anyways.

    Can we get an event during the week for the Weekday Players to enjoy the event too.

    I think the problem is that the events are too few and far between. If you really want to generate interest, there should be an event on every weekend, and not just every other weekend.

    Only saying this as I will likely miss this weekend event due to family commitments and I'll bet the next time I can do this is possibly two months after that.
