These threads reflect the OP's frame of referrence.
Obviously an Enterprise fan.
Myself, I hold Scott Bakula personally responsible for destroying Star Trek on TV.
I would like to see the Connie, TMP, NX-01 and it's refit at T5 myself however.
Well its pretty certain that Archer was the weak point in Enterprise. But I don't know if Bakula is to blame personally. After all, even if the underperformance of the character was Bakulas fault, it was as much the producers fault that they didn't replace the character.
Also, I wouldn't blame Enterprise for the end of Trek on TV (even if I personally liked a lot, low ratings and general negative opinion on the series certainly render it a failure).
Seeing that the whole Space-travel-based sic fi has gone from up to 10 series running (there were times with 2 Star Trek series, B5, Stargate, Andromeda, farscape, Lexx, red dwarf and more running at the same time) down to ZERO at this point, it seems that the whole concept has died out, and I think would have happened with or without Enterprises failure.
But on Topic: I thnik everybody should be able to fly the ship he likes (in a valuable way) at t5. And if a D'kyr is still around, why not Miranda, Constitution or even NX class.
But after all, they said no to the t5 conie so there is no chance for a t5 nx (as much as I'd like to have that particular one myself).
I just made a thread about giving the Akira some costumisation options to make her a little more nx like (upward struts^^). But that would be the best we can hope for at this point.
I'd like to see T5 versions of all lower-level ships (TOS Connie included). They wouldn't even have to be the best, but they already have T5 nova and such, and making a T5 Connie would make sense even if the T5 one only had a special material (but could use the Exeter parts) because it would sell. I play escorts mostly, but I'd get a T5 Constitution if it looked like TOS/TMP just for fun. It could only have 6 weapon slots at Tier 5 and be weaker than the Heavy Cruiser retrofit, but I would still get it.
The Connie, NX, Miranda, and Oberth all look good and that is enough reason for me if this became a reality.
So is the Constitution. If they allow a T5 NX for that reason alone then it's harder to not allow any other body in the game.
no it's not, the ones we get while we rank up are actually hand me downs from the ancient times.
when you rank up you get old ships first then newer ships.
the NX-01 is most definately a replica as stated in its description. The Connies we have now are litterally just old ships with a few modern pieces put into them, they are as up to date as they can be, the NX however is just a new ship.
The culprit's names were Brannon and Braga, and their idea that "Moar bewbz!" was the solution to everything.
that's only one person you have there, Brannon Braga, the other culprit is Rick Berman, I never liked Bakula as captain of the a Starship I didn't think he fit the role, he could have been great as an eccentric doctor or a quirky engineer but they made a comedic character into a captain and he could only work with the script they gave him.
As for this topic, Not Again!! This is Star Trek's future, enough with the friggin antiques. I know we have a lot of people here that want to turn back the clock and turn this into a different game set in a different era, but that's not going to happen, it's time to face facts, deal with it and move on.
If something is not broken, don't fix it, if it is broken, don't leave it broken.
Why not ask for a T5 Model T Ford? You're about as likely to get it. Or a horse and cart.
So yes to the horse and cart, but only if it comes equipped with a Ferengi energy whip, is limited to warp 1 in sector space, and this song loops continuously...

Actually I liked him as a captain. He played the eager explorer to the hilt and it's the way Archer should of been played. Personally I think berman and braga killed Enterprise, not Scott Bakula.

I liked the character concept, but really do not like Bakula as archer.
For some reason I always have that picture of bakula in women's dress (from his previous series, forgot the title) in mind when I see him as archer.
Funny enough he works for me in other roles.... but not there.
I personally think the perfect archer would have been the guy who played Guideo in B5 Crusade.
If you really think about it that was a very similar character in many ways, but far better executed.
Yes to T5 Miranda Class! But with the benefit of having =>THIS SKIN<= as an option!
That is all.
They give it that Skin and i'll buy the fleet version, its a great look , and actually looks like it could belong with the T5's

I want a Tier 10 UNSC Infinity. Why? Because none of the other requests will ever happen.
Tier 20 Forerunner Keyship! And only I can have one because nobody else can have nice things :P

No, they are not. As noted in The Path to 2409, the official timeline of this game written for this game, used to be published on this site, and is still found in the official STO Novel Needs of the Many, Starfleet ships are currently designed with the revolutionary new "modular" design. This was done to prepare for the war with the Undine and to allow ship captains more customization.
All of the ships in the fleet are new tech. Even the Constitution class vessels. They are not old Connies brought out of mothballs. They are a new modular ship and you choose the custom look, be it the stylish retro look of the Constitution or the cutting edge look of the Excalibur. No matter what though, they're new ships.
when you rank up you get old ships first then newer ships.
No, you don't. You go from the Miranda, to a choice of three skins for each ship class.
So for instance my first character went from a Miranda to an Excalibur. That's a modern ship.
Also the T3 cruiser has three skins. The old ship skin is indeed the Cheyenne class. But the Stargazer class and the Dakota class are much newer ships.
Or just look at how it goes in the science ship progression:
Miranda base to Nova and its variants to Hope, Olympic and Horizon Variants. All very new ships, one of which is from the same alternate timeline as the Galaxy X dreadnought.
THEN ... then you go backwards and get yourself the Intrepid.
You are very wrong in your assessment of ship progression going from old to new. That's never been how this game worked.
Are we talking in-game, or the canon ships? If we are talking game mechanics, nevermind. If we are talking the ships themselves...absolutely incorrect.

No.
No.
And no.
Yes to T5 Constitution Class! => THIS ONE <=, not Exeter or JJ c**p, nor the TMP one!

Not needed, the current version is OP enough!

It's called the HEC / Akira

Not really
But it could become one...
Not even half as silly as stuff that has already made it into the game.

Probably because the ship design is newer than the Sovereign.
Well the "ship design" of the nx01 is newer than the sovereign too....

You forgot the name of Quantum Leap? Really?
Not sure if serious...
I keep forgetting the English title since it's called differently here.
Why shouldn't he since he is absolutely correct.
