It was an honest mistake, your mistake I'm afraid. Events and new missions go live at the same time usually. Like the new FE for example. It's not the end of the world.

yes it iisss the end of the world DDDOOOMMMMM!!!! the world ended cause i didn't look at the starting time and mined early =P lol this is why i am slowing enjoying my lunch before i log in to =P
Now i want to beam down (in my Risa Outfit) on the Vlugta Asteroid Field, protected by a constant shield bubble, and mine that Dilithium with my bare Phaser-Hands!
I'm sure people that have no jobs or family will spend all weekend farming but the hourly events worked fine for the rest of the people that had other things to worry about.
Past 2 weeks I haven't been involved in a single event. Now the weekend is here with bonus TRIBBLE but weekends are typically family time so will get very little time to play.
To top it off there probably won't be an event like this for another month. I really fail to see the benefit in this. Please bring back hourly events during weekdays
You guys can keep your dilithium bonus week end if you would just let me tractor beam and tow a ship size chunk of that dilithium core we blow up at the end of the breach.
1 Billion EC... the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Grind... Its continuing mission: To explore the exchange with vast amounts of Zen... To seek out new dilithium and Fleet Marks... To boldly go, until the refining cap runs out!
What's so special about taking another step towards ruining the game by taking hourly events away and then running these asinine weekend events? So we get a bit more dilithium this weekend, but it's going to be over a month before we get it again (same with the mark event...etc).
Between TRIBBLE like this and ARC it's almost as if PWE/Cryptic is intentionally trying to drive away their player base. Has anyone else noticed how empty the game has been in the evenings since they took the hourly events away?
while getting more ore is quite nice and all, (and im not complaning about that not in the lest) it would also be nice to tripple the amount you can refine, what good is it to get 100,000 dil ore if you can only do 8,000 a day. (or vet 9,000) or fleet + vet of 9,500))
First off thank you cryptic for this weekend event I'll look forward to using my mine claims. Now then to answer a few questions from a page ago and from another members point of view.
I myself dont have a job (retired at a very young age and living the american dream ) and I do have a family wife and two little girls in which I raise so I cant live on this game 24/7 but.... I can find the time to log in each day to play the missions I choose and collect the rewards:rolleyes:
I myself have not seen a lack of players at night heck my fleet roster is packed every night first time in a while my fleet is booming with activity.
To sum it up yes I dont work yes I have a family no I dont want to live on this game 24/7
But.....here's the kicker time management as long as I can set a time to be online and play the event then its a win win for me for the people that say geuss im going to miss out I say you cant find 10 minutes out of each day to log in and do something??? wow thats a new one for me;)

Your post is illogical.
You say can't you find 10 mins a day to login to do something.
Yes I could find 10 mins a day to login and do something but now when I do there is no bonus event to participate in because there are no more bonus events during weekdays.
Yes I'm a father and have a full time job. With hourly events at least I could login at any time of day and still feel like I felt rewarded. Now I just feel punished every weekday I have an opportunity to login.
If I have an opportunity to login on weekends when not attending birthday parties or dinners then maybe I'll feel like I'm rewarded once a month instead of every day. Without bonuses the rest of the time just feels like a grind with a slap in the face.
Well I am disappointed, I did yesterday 2 of the reputation missions (Omega marks reputation) where you suppose to get 750 dilithium when turning in the mission and I didn't get 100% return no even 50% I got just the same amount I always get, what happened with the 100 and the 50%?

When did you do them? If you did it before 1 pm/10 am, then It wasn't active then
Today was a good day, I estimate that with the double bonus I raked in over 35,000 Raw Dilithium, fantastic! Except...
After 8,500 whats the point? I guess its a good backup for when i can't get theat amount, but I already had a store of 50,000 Raw Dilithium.
So as I was suddenly feeling like all I had accomplished was to earn a bunch of stuff that at my current 9,000+ per normal day will never spend and it was strangely depressing cause I still felt broke, it occurred to me that during these weekend we really need to see that refinement Cap lifted.
Now in the past they have said "No" it regulates the economy etc, but right now thier are more Dilithium Sinks in game than ever before with a starbase and 3 holdings plus all those reputation trees. Still thats nothing new, but I came up with two ideas assuming they will say no to lifitng the cap.
1. Put a NPC Contact on Drozana (That's reachable by all factions I believe). Give it a 20 hour mission which lets us refine an additional 8,000 Dilithium and have him their only during the special event weekend. The relative increase of refinement you get for the weekend shouldn't be a dramatic increase like a permanent increase. And it also bring people to Social hub, which after listen to a lot of Podcasts about STO lately seems to be needed.
or
2. Let Starbase Projects utilize Raw (Unrefined) Dilithium. Unrefined Dilithium usage would let people who do farm the mineral to contribute more to their Fleets, it doesn't directly impact on the economy as unrefined mineral can't be spent any other way and it helps all those small fleets whose members struggle to put in dilithium as it cuts into their daily earning as every point they contribute to a base is one less point they can spend on themselves (which includes needing it for the actual fleet gear anyway)
This way each player could effectively earn 7k to 8k Refined Dilithium per day which they can use on themselves. AND they also still earn a resource they can contribute to any fleet they might belong to.
Either idea would work, I personally hope for the latter as my little fleet would get a good boost out of it.

Well, check the starting time......
Once my launcher entered into the patching phase, the darn thing could not complete the process. rofl... I guess I am getting the bonus.

If not, at least make the 15 second cooldown instant like with the dyson rep. Some of us have a LOT of marks to cash in...

Wow. Rude much? If you don't like it, there's the door
Hm, yeah...
As rude as the person that I quoted for basically saying that anyone that complains does it because we don't have a life and are on the game 24/7.
