paid race change yet? or another another another 6 months later

I don't see the point of new species released to play if don't have the option to changes species

$30 right here..

im not asking to change faction, or class or anything game breaking, just my species

e.g. Bolian -> caitian

    Well I'd have no problem with a race change paid ability (as opposed to faction or class, which as you point out you're not asking for), I'm not sure there'd be enough people willing to pay for that to justify the time it would take for Cryptic to implement such a system.

    Many already consider the game easy enough as is to level a new character if they want to try something different. Others just don't consider the differences between the races to be significant enough (outside of cosmetics).

    to many items, unlocks bound to character not account as it always should have been

    they can disguise ships surely they could change the overlay only, I don't care if my traits don't change

    its cosmetics that I want, I hate my Bolian but im not re rolling!

    I actually PvP'd on my KDF character the entire STO headstart during the game's launch, because my Joined Trill species wasn't going to be available till the official day of launch came (despite buying the Deluxe Digital Edition directly from Cryptic). Funnily enough, I wound up falling in love with the KDF community while waiting for the launch day to come, that I ended up staying KDF as my main character. :p

    That's a shame, it's a commonly requested feature by the players. Why not give the players what they want?

    why are there no plans when it something players want..

    it's something players are willing to pay Cash for..

    its something cryptic made necessary by releasing new races after release..

    At the very least you guys should discuss internally atleast race change from alien to whatever in the future. I am sure more romulan type factions will come out where it goes fed or kdf. So eventually whatever our fake "insert race" is now there will be real ones in the future.

    Probably because it's not as simple as flipping a switch and requires tampering with the database and the key characteristics that make up what a character is.
    As I remember from my Database Management classes at university this is not always something you can do easily or sometimes even at all depending on the way the database is set up. So no matter how much you dangle your cash at their noses you can't buy something that may not even be possible to implement.
    Or is only posible with great pains that might not even be balanced out by the amount of money you are willing to throw at this feature.
