That's quite the paradox, how could you nerf nerf when the nerf is nerfed. But how would the nerf be nerfed when the nerf is nerfed? This allows the nerf not to be nerfed since the nerf is nerfed? But if the nerf isn't nerfed, it could still nerf nerfs. But as soon as the nerf is nerfed, the nerf power is lost. So paradoxally it the nerf nerf lost its nerf, while it's still nerfed, which cannot be because the nerf was unable to nerf.
Mate, i ran a level 30 galaxy in an ISE with TRIBBLE weapons and did more damage than most players.
Also did a TOS connie and did third highest DPS.
it isnt the gear.
Might come off as arrogant, not really my goal, but its just the truth. Some people that cry for nerfs need to realize the problem isnt the game/ships/gear/devs/barbara streisand
its them.
LMAO! Thank you for stating what some people fail to admit to themselves.
All this nerf whining is pathetic even if all you play is two hours a week. If that's all you play then you need to realize it's going to take you longer or cost you more $$$ to get where you want to be. The game shouldn't penalize the people who actually play it more since after all that is the games objective right?
We've become a total society of mediocrity because of the less coordinated or least experienced. How about you step up to the challenge and find a way to succeed. It is so tiresome that we need to lower our standards to lowest common denominator for those who want to put in the least amount of time and effort.
If you want mediocrity, don't play an MMO... these are supposed to be long term challenges... If you want clickies go play some zynga garbage or candy crush saga. Can you imagine if they made console games as easy as STO??LMAO! I love this game but hate it's lack of challenge as the game has devolved in this area. Please no more nerfing.

Knowing the game mechanics is part of the whole equation, yes. Which is gear+skill+ experience (knowing all the fight mechanics of all the group stuff) + build and probably a couple more variables. It is not arrogant to acknowledge this, but it is arrogant to downplay the fact that most people are much more casual in this game.
What you have done is master a casual mmo, to the point that nothing is a challenge for you. Well done, I guess. But that is the issue --- its a casual game, not a leetzorhardkore raiding 5 nights a week to work on one fight that can't be beat without a 53 step strategy type game. When you master the game to the level of a hardcore raiding type game, is it any wonder that the content seems to be stupidly easy? This sort of thing happens even in harder MMOs -- at some point, when the players figure out the mechanics and have all the gear, even the toughest raids become 'farmed' due to working strategies and overgeared players. At that point the cries for new, harder stuff gets louder and the process repeats.
I am not saying you are wrong, again, I think we need to keep nerfs to the minimum and add difficult content that gives top players a challenge. My point was that the estf and other "get marks" content is designed for average players with average gear, average game mechanics knowledge, and so on, and every day any number of casual PUGs fail at this content -- its about the "correct" difficulty for the target players.
How does one drool violently? I find the idea strangely fascinating. It is like 'so angry you froth at the mouth' kinda drool? Or the more standard drool, perhaps mixed with tears of joy, as you shovel bacon into your mouth? OR is the drool being violent to you??

So, in another thread (I forget which, but I'm pretty sure it was about OP equipment*) someone said they'd like to see a Connie in the Dyson Sphere.
This morning, inspired by this comment, I equipped my Constitution (Refit) Cruiser with gear from the sphere and went for a cruise around the allied zone. I got my daily rep, and did 3-4 other missions, all of the "pew-pew-pew" variety, expecting to die so many times that I'd need to switch back.
Granted, I only soloed two of the missions, every other time some well-meaning "Gotta Rescue the Connie" passer-by** stopped to fight with me, but wow, I can only come to one conclusion:
The T2 Constitution (Refit) Cruiser is OP. So are all the other players who stopped to help.
Nerf 'em all!!!
Oh, and to stay on the new topic of "Bacon", maybe I should try this same thing in a shuttlecraft. This one just got back from a mission involving a lot of bacon, as you can see...
*Maybe requesting OP equipment, maybe complaining about it....
** I realize that I, too, would have stopped to help, even if it wasn't a Connie.

I dont mind dieing in a mission so i dont really like asking for nerfs i just dont like one shot kills that a 50k hulled regent with rep/fleet shields at full cant survive even when useing brace for impact. E,g borg super invisible torps if u played that long to remember them.

I'm not entirely sure those don't still exist (or haven't been re-added) ...
Borg seem to have been doing more damage lately, for some reason, and it's not always clear exactly what is the source of that damage. In the aforementioned PUG The Cure Found Elite yesterday, I lost count of how many times my Tal'Shiar Adapted Destroyer got vaporized, and I've done that mission many, many times in the same ship (with even less worthy gear) without a single instance of getting vaporized. I even added Honor Guard shields to the thing before going in yesterday.
Something I've realized the past couple months, Rylan, is that this is always gonna be a team-based game, no matter what Cryptic or the players might otherwise say or want.
Even the PvE is team-based 95% of the time.
And anytime they add in single-player stuff, it boils down to one of two things usually:
1. Story content that it feels like most people play at most a few times, unless it has some kind of unique reward (like Sphere of Influence).
2. Large open areas that are mostly 'solo friendly' but tend to die. Especially due to poor rewards.
Story content is fine, it's more about the story and advancing the universe. But think about some of the 'solo' stuff they've put out. How many people do Deferi/Nukara by themselves anymore? When was the last time you went to New Romulus and it WASN'T for epohh tagging? Just how busy is the Dyson space area, particularly since the reward nerf?
All mostly 'solo' stuff, yet it is barely touched, or so I've noticed.
I remain empathetic to the concerns of my community, but do me a favor and lay off the god damn name calling and petty remarks. It will get you nowhere.
I must admit, respect points to Trendy for laying down the law like that.

Well if this is any kind of indication
[Combat Self] Tactical Cube deals 42286(52083) kinetic damage to you plasma torpedo.
Not a high yield, and it doesn't even specify a critical hit just wham, and this is one of the weaker one's I have seen since HY's can net over 200k.
Cool story time. I just want you to know that yesterday, me and a PUG lost Cure space elite. It started like any other, but after we destroyed the first cube, it was like everyone forgot how to play. In the end, all five of us were trying to defend the Klingon ship, we were all using heals on it, and it died. I was stunned and slack jawed. I don't think I'd ever lost an elite space STF, even with a PUG.
I guess my point is that you should never underestimate a PUG's ability to fail.
LOL. Yesterday I was in a ISE pug, and it failed bizarrely too. Suddenly 2 uebernoobs decided to go work the Transformer on the right, failing miserably. I LOL-ed. It's a very, very rare thing these days, to have an Elite fail. I still walked away with 110 Marks, so that smile stayed for a while.
Also, CSE, I used to avoid pugging it. And I looked up those Escort Tact pilots, who would save the day with their cannon barrage. Nowadays, I *am* that person, dropping a GW1 and slicing thru 5 Raptors easily, within seconds. And no, not because I'm that good, but simply because of the power-creep. Elites have become somewhat of a joke really.
...talking to players is like being a mall Santa. Everyone immediately wants to tell you all of the things they want, and you are absolutely powerless to deliver 99% of them.

To add to your humor, toss that GW and when they clutter together toss a isometric charge right when those uber noobs are close to them. Sometimes it bounces back at them as well LOL. :P

Nah it's not the shields or gear that is the problem, it's just the amount of actual damage they can inflict in a single shot.
