Next lockbox?

When will it happen and what will it be? If you can't release any info, I understand. We'll just try to guess what it's going to be.
I would love to visit this star in-game...or maybe this one!

    I heard something on a tribble forum about a Hirogen lockbox. I don't know if they were just playing around or not.

    Well so far they've released whatever people seem to think will be in them... I'd like to see people NOT guessing... Just to see what they do when the players don't tell them how to milk you guys money.

    I think it'll release with S8.5 which in turn I believe will release with the Anniversary in early February.

    I think it'll be something Delta Quadrant related... I am hoping for a tri-faction lockbox like the Temporal Box... I am to RP to play non-Fed ships so would love another Lockbox where I can get another top notch Fed-Ship. :D

    I would like Son'a so I can get one of those subspace tear console's now that we have warp cores to eject. :P

    Personally, I think we need a break from lockboxes. There has been a flood of them. We need some breathing space, some time to "catch up" with what is there. Take a break, then come back hitting hard with a real compelling box later on in a few months.

    Trust me, Cryptic's going to be coming up with a new lockbox very soon.

    It will probably be something delta-quadrant related. Maybe Krenim or Borg. I'm leaning toward the Borg since they are implied to be the ones curbstomping the Voth to omega particle desperation.

    It'd be nice if they would make the Borg scary again.

    I just don't know if they would give us a playable Borg ship though in a lockbox. A sphere? A cube? I really don't see them giving us a cube.

    It would be cool to see the ships of theirs...people need to stop with the Borg, playable Borg ships would be the stupidest thing bar none...even worse than a t5 tos connie. It will never happen unless the game is about to die and they use it as a last ditch effort.

    Besides we already got the Tal Shiar Borg ships...why would they release something else Borg related so soon?

    I don't want to see a playable Borg ship but maybe a Borg themed ship, assimilated or some such.

    Edit: Ya, I kinda forgot about the Tal Shiar box. I was out of the game for most of its run. Disregard my previous post.

    Depends on when the next lockbox comes out. Lockboxes seem to be out for 3 or 4 months. So the next lockbox is likely to occur February or March. If the Anniversary Event or Season 8.5 introduces a new enemy, then the next lockbox will likely be based on them. Of course, they could just release the lockbox when Season 9 happens and use some new enemy from that Season. Another possibility is a Solanae Lockbox.

    Star Trek being as diverse a universe as it is, I'm sure there's plenty of life in the lockbox yet.

    They're not going to release more Borg Content soon after the Tal Shiar Lockbox and it's definitely going to be a Delta Quadrant Race and after the Voth the next Major factions in the Delta Quadrant are the Krenim, the Vidiians, the Kazon and the Hirogen or perhaps since they just released such a large new Faction into the game they might base it off a less major Faction such as the Devore or the Hierarchy or the Cravic/Pralor.

    If it will be a Delta quadrant box, I foresee either Kazon or Talaxian

    I would imagine, if they plot any Borg-type ships at all, they might well be patterned after the Borg ships used by that group of stray Borg Lore gathered up. They're pretty strong and a lot more conventional-looking (and performing) than a "real" Borg ship, yet they seem to be more on the level with more conventional ships, both in terms of expected in-character and actual in-game performance.

    The Borg have pretty tolerant standards about accepting people into their Collective. If the Borg won't accept the Kazon into the Collective, then there is nothing of value from the Kazon.

    They were then, but are they now, this game takes place at least 50 years post Voyager

    Cryptic should make it easy.

    Make a "Lock box". Combine all the previous box rewards and make it random.

    The last few enemies got turned into lockboxes, krenim won't be exception.

    But i hope for a species 8472 box, their bioships looks so awesome and they deserved more attention as such powerfull race.

    It'll be Hirogen, unique bridge included obviously. Two of the mirror ships will be an Intrepid and a Varanus.

    Any source or just speculation?

    Anyway, the only grounds for Hirogen lock box that i've heard was the reasoning that the Hirogen ship was removed from Nimbus Pirate Distress Call, as if that somehow equates to it being put in a lockbox.

    Then again, they did say they were considering Roms play as or at least have crew members that were Hirogen as well as Suliban. Maybe they finally came around, it would make sense and coincide with the discontinuation of the Rom doff pack, which is full of Suliban and due to be discontinued within the next quarter.

    Anywho, if we're still committed to this blasted year of voyager, I guess I'd like to see a Devore ship. Their nifty shielding would make a nice ability/console.
