Question about the "evaluate romulan/reman bridge offier candiate" DOFF mission

Does anyone know what the cooldown is for the "evaluate romulan/reman bridge officer candidate" DOFF mission and can it be found anywhere else other than the Tau Dewa sector block? Ive come across this mission only once for romulan and once for reman.

    It only spawns in those sectors(TD and the RR only social zones), and in your personal tab, and not very often.

    Location - Tau Dewa and New Romulus Command only, doesn't matter which

    Cooldown (Romulan) - between 2 and 3 days, so far I've never gotten an evaluate immediately after finishing a previous evaluate, but given their rarity, I'm not sure if the CD is longer than 2 days or not, but I know for a fact it's shorter than 3, note that the 3 tracks have separate CDs, I've gotten evaluate sci and eng at the same time so it's possible

    Cooldown (Reman) - I'm going to say a week but don't quote me on that, these used to be more common before cryptic increase the chances of getting the very rare evaluate missions of your allied faction, which sucks

    Protip - the Romulan mission is actually fairly common, if you make alts and park them at New Romulus command cycling through them once every hour or whenever the payoff is pretty decent, I make on average 30 mil a week per toon selling SRO boffs, Remans though are another story

    Another thing to consider - if you get say "evaluate nausicaan" and run it? It will also start the CD on the romulan one. This is my personal experience as with four alts trying to get this mission nearly every day (and often 2-3 times a day each), i have never seen it a single time after running another racial recruitment.

    My surmise is they are the same doff mission, and the race selected is random. (just that in those two zones, rom and reman become possible)

    I have only ever gotten roms and rems when visiting the embassy. Never at the command center, nor in space. Human boffs appears much more often. I haven't had a rem appearing for the longest, and i want exactly rems for the purpose of my rem alt. my rem isn't exactly friendly towards romulans, oh, and let us fire Thovan!!!

    Well, I did finally get it. It was a rare mission for a romulan science bridge officer. Thanks again for the help!!!

    I've had maybe 10 romulan recruiting missions done so far, and only 1 reman one if that helps any since LOR launched.

    Without an army of alts, you have to get down to a "BOFF DOFF mission patrol" routine, in order to pick up these. Going back and forth, always looking. It is just as fun as any mindless task forcing you to go away from whatever you should really be doing, looking for something that most likely isn't there!

    My fourth Reman is being hatched out as we speak, that 49% chance for awesomeness hasn't been all that average in a favorable sense, and years must pass in order to work out a true streak of bad or good luck at this pace.

    Since Romulans don't believe in luck, it just takes years at any rate. Like a good wine, we shall mature, and if you spend nothing, riches will come for sure. Together with a decline, of all things interesting. ;)

    Doesn't Embassy, TD sector, flotilla, and New Romulas system have the same duty officer missions or are the different?

    Embassy has potential for different missions, I don't know if the Romie BOFF missions are shared between them all, but the Embassy at least can also generate assign security team to embassy mission.

    Well, considering that I never run the allied faction BOFF missions as a Republic character on principle, this just gives me another reason to not do them.

    Also, I have NEVER seen one of them(Romulan or Reman) show up. I have not done the Alien BOFF missions because I suspect it will only give me ally aliens and not Republic aliens.

    AFAIK, no doff missions share a cd. Also.... AFAIK, assignment names do not contain variables.

    Now I did get two romulan BO recruitment missions going at the same time on one character yesterday. one science and one tactical.

    I recently created a Romulan character, and am having absolutely NO luck with getting an Evaluate Romulan Bridge Officer mission. In my search for clues as to why this might be, I came across this thread, but there has been no further comments since December 2013.

    Does anybody know anything about what the current status is with regards to this DOFF mission? Does it still exist? Has it become even rarer than it used to be? Have the locations where it generates changed?

    Any useful hints, tips, suggestions or information anyone is able to provide would be greatly appreciated.

    With 3 characters logging every day, I haven't seen a single Reman BOFF mission since months. Perhaps a year.
    I'm wondering if it's not bugged or something.

    I had like 2-3reman evaluation since LoR. Probably rarer than a ship in a lockbox. At least it's free.

    I have the Romulan evaluation from time to time. About once or twice a month.

    Interestingly enough, I can confirm that there is *no* cooldown on this mission. Or at least, if there is any it is less than 24 hours.

    I hadn't seen any of these recruitment missions in probably 2-3 months, despite always checking out of habit. A couple of weeks back I got the Romulan Tactical version and ran it. Got purple tac, but no SRO. :( Then when I logged in the next day, there was the mission again! Ran it, this time blue tac, no SRO. :P

    TL/DR: No cooldown, just an infinitesimally small chance to find it.

    I am not 100% sure but I think I have had this from DS9 space as well. But its been a while, I never go to DS9, so I could be wrong.

    I get about 1 rom / 2 weeks offered. I have 5 or 6 rom chars and 3 of them sit in TD farming contraband and BOs to sell and so on. I get about 1 reman every 2 MONTHS and that is with ALL THOSE rom alts and my mains etc who all at least pass thru TD once every day. Its just RARE.

    The good news is that unless you are a stealth heavy player, reman can be ignored.

    The price of SRO officers is rather low now. Last one I sold took days to move and was only 3M or so. The price will probably fall more with the new officer training ... folks don't need as many officers in general now that one can know all the skills and can be reconfigured for each ship easily.

    I am not sure there is a cooldown. I have had as many as THREE at once on one character.

    As a side note - there are now common Reman /intelligence Bridge Officers now for sale on New Romulus. The vendor that sells them is in an office with the skills trainer.

    These boffs cannot be traded or emailed - but at least you can get a common Reman BOFF for your crew if you really need one.

    I want an all Reman crew for an alt - so this was a nice discovery.

    The last time I have seen any of these recruitment missions was back in Nov 2014.

    They should be reclassified as Epic Ultra Rare missions.

    I have a theory that Romulan/Reman Boff recruitment assignments are triggered by grinding Romulan doff assignments (the ones with large green Romulan icons) in Command center and Tau Dewa. I've had decent luck with recruitment assignments popping up after grinding those 20 hr. assts. and any others. I've only had recruitment assts. come up in Personal Tab in Command Center - period. I had a Reman recruit asst. (Ultra Rare) a few months ago after doing this (checking in Command Center after hourly shipboard asst. update) - critted VR with Superior Infiltrator :)

    Since Romulan doff assignments give low experience points, I'm not doing now as I'm grinding specialization points and have plenty of SROs and Superior Infiltrators.

    Note that if you have the Delta Rising Intel Boffs from the Z-Store, one is Romulan Engineer w/ SRO and Superior Subterfuge, one is a Reman Tactical with Superior Infiltrator and SRO, last is Lib. Borg with Efficient (meh). These boffs can be trained with regular skills or given Command Specialization.

    The rarity of the following Duty Officer Assignments have been adjusted, allowing them to appear with somewhat more frequency:
    Evaluate Reman Tactical Bridge Officer Candidate
    Evaluate Reman Engineering Bridge Officer Candidate
    Evaluate Reman Science Bridge Officer Candidate
    Reclaim Assimilated Borg Drones
    Resolved an issue that was preventing Romulan captains from ever having access to the assignment “Special Deal on Entertainment Provisions”.

    Yes read that too and hope now to finally see my first Reman assignment.
    The Romulans didnt came often, but quite regularly, now that ceased to happen for me too.

    there is no cooldown that I know of. I have had 2 romulan officers being evaluated at once within a couple of hours of each other to complete, but they were not the same type (sci, eng,tac, ... it was like eng/sci or something). Ive had two of the same type at once but with at least 1/2 a day between them.

    Ive seen romulan mission rarely in other sectors. I am pretty sure ds9 sector *can* offer it. I am not sure where all, but I know I have picked it up when parked in other areas for a few weeks.

    Reman is extra rare. I have had less than 10 total with 4 romulan characters that *farm* tau dewa for contraband and officers. And that was over more than a year's time. This supposedly changed today. Its so rare I can't comment on other zones or cooldowns.
